Chapter 33: Chapter 33
“Come again?” Mitch mumbles with mental rejection, taking slow steps toward me.
I stand my ground. Becalmed. Dauntless like a derring-do. She has had enough of scaring me! I feel Liam’s strides coming toward me and he stops beside me. The sight of him and I like this strokes this bitch’s ass so bad, but she will have to deal with it.
“You heard me right, Mitch! You can not sue Liam!” I spit as she racks before me, gawking at me as if I were a lunatic.
And I can presume what she is about to spit next: that I am in no place to dictate to her what she should or shouldn't do. She probably is packaging dozens of revilements in her head as she stares at me.
“And who exactly are you to tell me what to do, huh?” She sneers.
I knew it! And I know what she is about to call me: a persona-non-grata, a whore, a dirt cheap mistress, a home-wrecker, name them all. I am ready to take them all as long as this plan of hers does not work.
“I know what you are about to say, Mitch, but I will let you know that I will take up your insults, but I can not allow you to do this to Liam.” I speak, and she bats her eyebrows several times before speaking.
“I see. The mistress fighting for her oppressed lover, huh? Well, guess what, whore? There is absolutely zero shit you can do to stop me. And once he is behind bars, ooh I will so deal with you, bitch!” She spits.
“You ain't going to do a thing about Liam unless you also want to be sued!” I spit, and she goes hysterical with laughter.
“Oh, really?” She says as she stops her laughter. “I am the one who has been cheated on and disrespected in my house. I am the one with bruises to back up my case. What does this fool have against me to sue me for? I have not wronged him in any way, you…”
“Not him!” I cut her off before she finishes squealing. She goes mute, and I add. “But you have assaulted me as well. I also have proof to back up my case against you. And do not forget that you also attacked me at the pool!” I say as her eyes scour my left cheek where she slapped me earlier.
If this is how she wants to play, so be it! I am game! I can not allow her to screw Liam and I like this.
She stares at me with bewilderment for a whole long decade, seething with rage inside, perhaps after realizing that she has been nailed. I got you, bitch! You are not the only one with a smart ass here.
If looks could kill, I would be rotting six feet under from her glares, but gladly, I even feel like smirking at her dumbfoundedness right now. She did not see that coming.
After a while, she takes a long breath, perhaps comprehending her defeat and embracing the bitter fact that I have won. I was about to arch an eyebrow and smirk at her poopy face until she speaks.
“I can easily vindicate my actions for that one slap. I mean, you are my husband's shameless whore, and my husband had the grilled balls to bring his whore to our matrimonial home. Every legal wife would lose her cool in the situation, and I am absolutely sure that the court will favor me. I can then file another case for adultery so that both of you will rot in jail! Let us see how you two will defend yourselves in court!” She smirks broadly, feeling like a winner, but not today.
I am not allowing her to win today. For the sake of Liam, I can drag her to the burning gates of hell and burn along with her if that is what it takes to save Liam from her evil schemes.
“Bingo! Good plan!” I mock, then I drill through where it stings like hell. “I presume you too have evidence—concrete evidence—for this one too, right? Because you know very well that the court does not work on mere speculations or disjointed circumstantial shreds of evidence.”
That hooked her tongue somewhere in her runny mouth, or she probably swallowed it by mistake. Her face is flaring with redness. And her glare at me turns into a sinister one. I don't blink or shift a muscle. If she thought she was the real bitch, then she has met her match. No more fear of this witch! The battle is not for the faint-hearted and as it seems, she has already declared war on us. Well then, may the best bitch win!
“You two had a past! You can not fool me! You both are so obvious that even the dumbest fool in the world can tell you are fooling around!” She murmurs between gritted teeth, and only the devil knows the magnitude of the rage suppressed by this gesture.
But who cares?
“Our past cannot be used to incriminate us, Mitch! We are innocent as long as that is the only shit of evidence you have to prove your allegations!” I respond boldly, like a number one.
“So, you ain't denying that you have something going on now!” She says, narrowing her eyes.
Oh, come on!
