Chapter 27: Chapter 27

Sierra pov.

I stood up abruptly, taken aback by the anger etched on Nora's face. I knew she was livid, just by seeing me in that position. But I had to act fast before she lost control completely.

"Nora, you are here?" I say, hoping for a response that would make her forget what had happened.

She walked past me, moving closer to Alex who was still seated, her phone in hand, looking up at her. Nora turned to face Williams who still appeared at a loss for words.

I could see her claws extending from her hands, and if I didn't intervene, she might end up doing something reckless.

"Nora, why don't we go somewhere else and discuss your well-being," I suggested.

Just as I was about to take her away, Alex stood up with an annoyed expression, pulling me back.

"Where the hell do you think you're going?" she yelled at me. "Can't you see I'm pregnant? Do you expect me to bend down and do it myself?"

At that moment, I wanted to hit her so hard, but because of her pregnancy, I forced a smile and replied, "Sorry, just sit, and I'll keep washing your feet."

Nora spun me around with a look of confusion, her eyes deadly staring at mine. As I was about to reply, she lifted her hands up, halting me from speaking, then turned to face Alex.

"A betrayal like her isn't fit to be a Luna," she said, venom lacing her voice. Then she turned to stare at Williams, "And an Alpha like him isn't meant to have someone like you. He's always a beast and will never know what a human feels."

I wanted to silence Nora, but she was too incensed to stop. Just then, Alex stood up, walking towards Nora. She glared at her and pointed at her face.

"Who gave you the right to walk in here as you please?" Alex yelled at her, but all Nora did was chuckle.

"I never remember someone like you giving orders around. Listen, Alex, it's better you back away or I will kick your butt."

Just seeing the two of them ready to kill themselves, I walk in between them, as I yell for them to stop.

"Why don't you guys stop, okay? What happened has already happened, and it's no one's fault. So, I think we just have to face how things walk around now."

Just saying that, my eyes landed on William, who wanted to speak but didn't know what to say.

I turned to face Alex, asking her to sit while I continued washing her leg. I knew I shouldn't be doing any of that, but seeing people fight around me, I just didn't like it.

As I got down and put her feet inside the bowl, I placed my hands on the water. Just as I was about to wash her feet, Nora pushed me aside and took the water, pouring it on Alex body.

I moved aside, looking at Nora in shock. Why did she do something like that? I could also see the shock on Alex's face as she stood up and was angry.

She lifted her hands up and was about to slap Nora, only for William to hold her hands from behind.

"I think that's enough," he yelled at her, turning to look at me.

I turned to Nora, whispering for us to go outside instead. She was pissed off and ready to deal with Alex if I didn't take her away now.

Just as I took Nora outside, we walked over to the garden, and I sat her down on the bench. She was still pissed off, and I placed my hands on her to calm her down.

"You have to relax, Nora. You are a Luna now, so it's so wrong to put your face that way."

She turned to look at me after I said that. I could see the anger in her eyes as she pulled her hands away from mine and stood up. I could feel the tension in the air between us.

"You should have let me deal with her. Maybe teach her a lesson. What does she think, claiming to have a child for the same man you saved? But how can we know that child even belongs to your Alpha?" she said.

Her voice was sharp, cutting through the silence. I stood up and placed my hands on her, turning her to face me.

"It doesn't matter if my rights have been taken away from me, as long as I know that I have a friend like you, I am happy," I said with a smile.

I pulled her into a hug and then stepped back, looking at her.

"So, what brings you here anyway?" I asked.

She suddenly smiled and made me sit down, staring at me intently.

"Well, I don't know yet, but I have a feeling that I might be pregnant," she said.

I felt tears come to my eyes as I hugged her tightly, my heart overflowing with joy. Just then, Henry walked over to us, looking concerned.

"Did something happen?" he asked.

I pulled away from the hug and smiled at him before turning to Nora.

"She is pregnant," I said, feeling a rush of excitement.

Henry's face lit up as he congratulated her. After spending about six hours with Alex, discussing her life with James, I felt a twinge of jealousy.

She stood up after our last discussion about me coming to the Shadowclaws to spend some time with her, which, in some way, I agreed to. After she left, I sat back on the bench and thought about my life and how it would soon end.

Just as I was about to stand, Henry walked over and sat close to me. For some reason, I just didn't know how to say this. Henry had been coming closer to me for the past week now, and I just didn't know how to tell him that his closeness made me feel uncomfortable. I just hoped that the Alpha Beta wasn't falling for me.
