Nigel POV

Since Storm introduced me to my son, I can say that we became close right away, he is a kind child so he knows if his Uncle raised him well, as for my parents, Mom and I are slowly becoming okay while Dad can still feel his anger. I often visit Chase and sometimes I borrow him and bring him home.

Uncle  Cain also found out what happened which surprised him because all he knew was that Storm was working on a project abroad so he took over the company first because he left. Storm also told me that they were coming back because Kiara will be discharged so they were going to pick her up, I wasted no time and told Storm that I would come with him,

"Are you sure you can deal with my sister?" Storm asked me because we arrived earlier in the morning and we just rested a little before going to where Kiara was.

"I told you that I'm sure. I'm ready for what can happen." I answered him.

"Okay, that's your decision, but I warned you. I know that Kiara is okay now, but when things don't go well, you know what to do. We talked about this., he said and I nodded. We didn't have Chase with us because he fell asleep when we arrived so we just let him rest with his Nanny.

"Let him, baby, give Nigel a chance to correct his mistake," Bea said.

"I'm not stopping him, baby, I'm just saying that he needs to prepare himself for what might happen. You know my sister hates him,"

A few minutes passed before we arrived at the place where the woman I love was. As soon as we entered, I saw many patients with their respective nurses.

"I can't believe Kiara stayed here for so long," I exclaimed weakly.

"Even though she's been here for a few years, I still haven't gotten used to it, every time I visit her I'm still struggling and hurt. I'm still guilty because I brought her to this place even though I just want her to get better. It's not easy to leave the person who is important to you, it was still fresh in my memory when she begged me not to leave her here but I stopped myself from going back to her, thinking that it was necessary to endure her sake. " I looked at Storm when he said that.

"I have been a witness to her suffering for several years and it's hard to stand in front of her even though I want to give up. I always pray that what she went through can be transferred to me and I'm willing to accept it," he added.

"That's why I'm so grateful to you because you were the one she leaned on during the times she was fighting in the dark. Maybe if I hadn't been so stupid we would have been happy," I said.

"It's good you know you're stupid, after all, I shouldn't be talking to you. I should be angry because my sister suffered a lot but I can't. I just want what's good for Kiara and Chase,"

Later I saw a woman smiling at us. Storm walked closer to her and I followed. "When did you get back, Storm? Aren't you with Chase? Hi Bea." the woman asked.

"Hello, Zam. You're really pretty," Bea said.

"Just this morning, I just rested for a while before coming here. Chase was too tired from the flight so I didn't take him." Storm replied.

The woman looked at me and I saw her frown. "Is he t--."

"Yes." Storm didn't wait for what the woman had to say and answered it.

"That's why he looks so much like Chase." the woman said.

"Nigel, this is Zamara. She is Kiara's doctor." Storm introduced.

"Hi, Nice to finally meet you, Mr. Monteverde, I think I know you but I can't remember where I met you but I know you are also my brother's friend," she said.

I looked at Storm, I'm confused as to what this woman is saying. "You don't remember her, don't you? She is Zamara our friend Lucas's sister," he said.

"Oh I see, that's why you look familiar. How's your brother? Nice to see you again, Zam! Thank you for taking care of Kia." I said.

She smiled. "He's still busy but he knows what happened and he is mad at you also for being a jerk. He told me that he will visit both of you as soon as his schedule will be available. And as for Kiara you don't need to thank me, that thing is my job and those two are my friends also,"

"How is he?" Storm asked.

"She is good, I can say that she is well, that's why she can go out, but she still needs to have counseling at least once a month and I have also prepared her medicines," she said.

We went inside together and went to Kiara's room because it was said to be there. I let Storm in first because I was still nervous, I wasn't ready for her reaction when she saw me.

"You're back brother!" Kiara said energetically and hugged Storm, I just stayed standing here outside with Bea but I could still hear the conversation between the two of them.

"How are you?" Storm asked.

Kiara smiled. "I'm fine, where is Chase?"

"He's okay, I just didn't bring him because he was asleep. Zam told me you can be discharged now." Storm said.

"She told me that yesterday too. I can finally leave this place." She happily said.

"Maybe you'll miss it here?" Storm jokes.

She immediately snorted. "I don't want to be here anymore, I'm already good so I'm leaving here,"

"You had a great fight, Kiara," he said.

"Because you and Chase are my inspiration, without you I wouldn't know what to do and I might lose my mind,"

"I won't allow that to happen to you. Even if we run out of money, as long as I can treat you, I will do it." Storm said.

"You're the best brother." and she hugged him. I'm happy because I can see that she's doing well now.

"Ahm Kiara, someone wants to talk to you and I'm with him now," Storm said.

She frowned. "Who is it, brother? Is it Bea? We always talk whenever she's here,"

"I'm also with Bea but I'm not talking about her," Storm promised.

"So who?" she asked.

He beckoned me to come in, I was so nervous that I didn't immediately move from where I was standing. Bea patted my shoulder. "Go now, you can do it." she strengthened me inside so I slowly walked inside.

"What are you doing here?" Kiara's voice was full of anger when she saw me so I couldn't speak immediately.

"Brother! Why is he here!" she added.

"Calm down Kiara," Storm calmed her down.

"How can I calm down seeing him brother? He is the reason why I suffered! I thought you were mad at him but why are you with him? You betrayed me!" she shouted.

"Baby, I didn't betray you, you know that right? Just calm down, please. Give him a chance to talk to you. I won't leave you, I'm just here." Storm said she didn't answer him so he stood up.

"Where are you going, brother? Please stay here," she begged.

"I will be outside. I will never leave you. Bea and I will be here." Storm said.

When Storm got out, I stepped closer to her. "Stop! Don't come near me," she said. That's why I stopped walking because I still need to be careful with my actions.

"K-Kiara, please hear me out, please" I begged her but she just kept staring at me evilly. I don't know how to continue, but I have to do it.
