Storm POV

My sister's treatment is still ongoing, so far her doctor doesn't see any problems, but we still can't be complacent. I'm here now in the living room playing with my niece, he also has a nanny because I hired someone to take care of him.

It is raining heavily today, but there is no storm. "Sir, I'm going to put the baby to sleep." His nanny said to me so I handed Chase to her.

I went straight to the kitchen to ask one of our maids if Kiara had eaten because I didn't see her leave the room earlier.

"Has my sister eaten yet?" I said.

"Sir, she ate earlier but not tonight. Shall I just bring her food?"

I shook my head. "I'll call her so we can eat together," I said.

She nodded so I walked upstairs to call Kiara. I haven't eaten yet, so we should eat together so she'll enjoy eating too. When I was on the opposite side of her room, I stopped knocking and just opened the door.

I was surprised because I didn't see her, called her name several times but she didn't answer. I walked to the bathroom to see if she was there but she wasn't in there either.

I quickly left her room and then went downstairs. I met Nay Maria. "Oh, why are you in such a hurry? Where is Kiara?" she asked me.

"Did Kiara go out? She's not in her room!" I started to panic.

"What? I didn't notice, I don't know if she came down or not,"

"Alright, I'll look for her first," I said.

"It's still raining heavily outside. Bring an umbrella,"

I didn't even bother to get an umbrella and quickly left the house. I need to find my sister.

Kiara probably wouldn't leave the subdivision. I went around hoping to see her, I didn't care that I was wet from the rain because it was important to me to see my sister.

I was about to turn around when I noticed a figure near where I was standing. I slowly walked closer to it and saw her sitting on the road and wet from the rain.

My hands were shaking as I approached her. "K-Kiara," I called her softly.

She immediately looked at me. "B-brother?" Even though it was raining I could see the tears in her eyes.

"Why did you go out without informing me? Do you know that I'm looking for you? Next time let me know," I said.

"I'm so-sorry brother, I just want to think and be alone, I didn't know that heavy rain would catch me,"

"I'm not mad at you, I'm just worried because it's late and it's dangerous for a woman like you," I said.

"Why do I have to suffer like this? Why do I need to feel this kind of pain? This pain... is killing me. Am I a bad person? Mom and Dad were taken from me early, Nigel left me and I can't even take care of my son properly." she added.

My heart almost broke when I witnessed my sister's suffering. "You are not a bad person. Okay? Y-you will never be. You're just hurt, that's why you are like that. All you need is the person who will understand your pain and that is me, Kiara. I w-will never turn my back on you." I said.

"If I am not a bad person why am I suffering in this pain? I deserve to be happy right? But why can't I be happy? Why am I always crying? W-why are you leaving me?"

"N-never ever question yourself, Kiara, you're a better person. I'm the only person who knows you well and no one else. You don't deserve to be in this situation but I know it's only a challenge for you so that you will be a better version of yourself in the future." I explained to her.

"I-it hurts, brother, I can't take it anymore. I-I've given up on my life." I almost fainted because of hearing words from my sister.

"Ki --,"

"M-my life is so fucked up Brother, I am a burden. Maybe that's why our parents left me, maybe that's why Nigel left me like that because I'm unlucky in their lives,"

I touched her wet cheek. "Don't say that because it's not true. Our parents didn't want us to leave, they were just taken from us early but that doesn't mean they don't want you,"

"I don't know what to think anymore brother, I-I feel like I'm in the dark and it's hard for me to see the light. I-I'm being swallowed by so much sadness and pain, I-I feel like I'm going to lose my mind. I-I don't want to... I'm giving up." she almost shouted those words and it hurt me so much to see her like that in front of me. She bent down and covered her face with her hands.

I quickly hugged her tightly and she started crying. "It hurts so bad, this pain is killing me every day. I want to rest, I want to stop this suffering. Nigel is so unfair. He is the one who came into my life. He made me fall in love with him and when I fell so much, he crushed me little by little until I almost didn't know how to get out,"

"Hush now my Princess, everything will be okay, I'm here, you can share your pain with me," I said softly while hugging her. I know Kiara needs me more than anyone else and I will not let her down.
