Storm POV

I breathed a sigh of relief when I talked to my sister because I called her several times but she didn't answer so I was nervous because what time was it and she wasn't there yet. She wouldn't have reached out this late at night if Nigel wasn't with him and because they weren't okay he knew if she wasn't with him. It's better to be careful because the weather is very dangerous now.

Later, the person I was waiting for arrived, so I immediately stood up from my seat and approached her. "Are you okay?" I asked because I saw that she was pale and her eyes were swollen.

She smiled at me. "I'm fine brother, I'm just tired. Can I rest first? We'll talk tomorrow." she said weakly.

"Are you sure you're okay Kiara? Why are your eyes swollen? And why are you wearing different clothes? You weren't wearing the same clothes when you left earlier." I asked.

"I spilled juice on my clothes earlier brother, so my friend let me borrow it first."

"Alright, go to your room and then rest. Let's talk tomorrow." I said I know my sister is not telling me the truth but I don't want to force her because she looks tired.

I went up to the room to rest, I've done too much so I want to catch up on sleep.

The next day I woke up at noon, almost one in the afternoon. I suddenly felt hungry because I didn't have breakfast. I peeked into my sister's room but saw her sleeping. Has it not woken up yet? And because I didn't want to disturb her sleep, I just went down to the dining area.

"Manang, did Kiara wake up earlier?" I asked her while preparing my food.

"Yes Sir, she ate breakfast earlier but went upstairs right after. She hasn't even eaten lunch yet," she answered.

I'll just eat because I'm going to take a shower. After all, Beatrice and I will meet today.

It was almost two o'clock when I finished cleaning, so I immediately left the house, but before that, I told the helpers that if Kiara didn't come down at three o'clock, they would wake her up. She can't just sleep on an empty stomach and she might get sick.

I drove to the Cafe where Bea and I were going to meet. I didn't pick her up because she also went to someone earlier so she just commuted. When I got there, I went inside and saw her right away.

"Sorry, I'm late," I said when I got close.

She shook her head and smiled at me. "I just arrived five minutes ago," she answered me and we ordered food.

"How was it?" I asked her.

"We've already approved another permit. We can start my mother's business," she answered me.

"That's good to hear, I'm so proud of you baby," I said.

"I should be the one thinking of you baby, if it wasn't for your help with us I wouldn't be able to do this either,"

"Even if I didn't help, I know you can do that too, you know that's one of your dreams, right?" I said.

"I just can't believe that we will have our shop, you know it's not easy to build a business, it takes a lot of investment." she snorts.

I touched her cheek. "Stop doing that or else I'm gonna kiss you here,"

She quickly removed my hand. "You're insulting me," she pouted.

"What? I'm not insulting you," I said and laughed.

"What did you say?" she asked with raised eyebrows.

"I said you're beautiful," I said smiling.

"Oh shut up Alcantara,"

"Anyway, baby how is Kiara? What time did she get home last night?"

"It's already morning and we didn't talk because she looked tired so I let her rest. I'll talk to her later when I get home." I said.

I heard her sigh. "I feel sorry for her, I know she doesn't deserve what is happening to her, but I know that these are just challenges and she will overcome them."

"It's really hard to be left by someone you love. I've been there and I know how painful it is. I feel what my sister is going through, so I'm doing everything to make her feel that she's not alone." I said.

"I know that your sister needs you more now, the day will come when she will be okay. But I'm still hoping that she and Nigel will get along,"

"And when that happens, I will make sure that I torture him first," I said emphatically.

Bea held my hands. "Calm down, I told you holding a grudge can't do anyone any good. I believe that it's not easy for him to leave Kiara either,"

After we finished eating, we went to the mall, because Bea also needed to buy some things, especially from her mother, so I went with her.

I just let her buy the things she needed while following her, I can't quite imagine that I loved this woman. She's different from Kaye, even though we've been in a relationship for a long time. Bea is kind, considerate, and very caring and I know that her parents raised her well. Sometimes I just laugh when I think about how we met and how I always yelled at her. Who would have thought that the person I hated then is the one I will love now?

"What are you smiling at?" I just came back to my senses when I heard her voice.

"I just remembered something," I answered her.

She looked at me badly. "What is that anyway?" she asked

"How lucky you are to be loved by someone like me." I tease her.

"You're annoying!" she snorted at me so I just hugged her.

She hit my hand. "Let go! Let go! We're at the mall!" I just laughed and then let her go.

When she finished buying, we paid, we went around and around and then I also went with her because I wanted to buy something for my sister.
