Chapter 40: Chapter 40
Kaye POV
Since we became okay, he somehow talks to me, sometimes I visit their house or his office because I don't know where his condo is. And because I had no choice, I became friends with Beatrice even though I didn't want to. If that's the way to get closer to Storm, I'll do it.
A month has passed but I can say that it is more difficult for me to take his heart and it is even more irritating when I see him and Bea being sweet to each other, he was like that to me before.
And now I'm going to his office and I was surprised because I didn't see Bea in her workplace, is she with Storm? And to find out I knocked three times and then opened the door. I saw Storm seriously reading the papers. Hmmm. Where is that woman?
"What are you doing here Kaye?" Storm asked me not at all and looked away from the paper she was holding.
I walked closer to him. "I brought you lunch, I know that sometimes you are too absorbed in work and eat late," I said with a smile.
"Thank you, Kaye, but I'm not the same as before. I have to eat on time because Bea will be mad at me," he answered me.
I can't help but smile bitterly. It's annoying! "Anyway, this is your favorite. I've cooked them," I said and then put the bag on the table.
Later, the door opened and the smiling Beatrice spat out. "Stop working baby and let's eat," she said and Storm quickly looked at her and smiled as he put down the papers he was holding.
Whereas with me earlier, he didn't even look at me. When Bea walked in my direction and only then did she notice me. "Oh hi Kaye, you're here. Sorry, I didn't notice you," she said smiling.
"No worries Bea, I just arrived," I answered her with a smile.
"Why did you decide to bring food here?" Storm asked me and then came to the table.
I saw him sitting next to her. "I just thought of bringing food because I cooked a while ago and this is your favorite," I said with a smile.
He smiled. "That's great! We can eat together now,"
I nodded and sat down, I didn't want to say no I don't want them to think that of anything against me.
'Try this one Storm, isn't it and it's your favorite," I said.
He looked at me. "Thanks, Kaye, but that's not my favorite anymore."
"Oh, yes, Kaye, he doesn't like that anymore. He eats more now when the dish is pickled, so that's what he often requests from me when I'm preparing or cooking," Bea seconded.
"Your pickle is really good and that's all you want to eat," Storm answered her.
I didn't show that I was upset and just continued eating. It can't always be like this. It's okay that we got along, but I have no plans to just be friends with Storm. And since I couldn't stay with them any longer, I said goodbye, I just said that I had to go somewhere else. So they immediately nodded together.
I was annoyed as I walked out of Storm's office, I should have been in that woman's position and not hers. I can see how much the man I love loves her, how his eyes sparkle when she looks at her, how he smiles full of love for her.
I can't accept that in the short time they met, Storm loved her so much, if you look at Bea there is nothing special about her, I don't understand how Storm likes her. I knew Storm and I knew what type of woman he would like. At first, I thought she was just one of those women he was playing with and wouldn't take seriously, and when he was done or bored he would just leave but from what I can see, that's not the case. They love each other.
I won't allow her to get Storm, I've been patient and begging for a month but it looks like I won't get anything. I need to use the plan B we prepared and I heed her help in this matter.
I took my phone from my bag and called her. "Hi Kaye, why did you call?" Kiara asked me when she answered it.
"Where are you? I want to visit you and I also have something to tell you." I said.
"I'm at the boutique, you can come here,"
After we finished talking, I took a taxi. I need to start doing the thing that I know will help me, I don't care about the result as long as I get what I want and know if she will help me.
I smiled at my thoughts, knowing that she wouldn't reject me if she didn't want to lose the man she loved.
I just leaned back in the chair while waiting for me to get to the place where he was. I'll make sure she can't say no to what I want because she has no other choice.
