Chapter 38: Chapter 38

Nigel POV

Kiara and I are currently here at a restaurant waiting for Storm and Bea. We decided to have dinner together because we hardly see each other anymore because of our busy jobs.

"Why did they take so long? Did you call my brother?" Kiara asked irritatedly.

"I already informed him, babe, I think they are stuck in traffic. You know your brother doesn't want to be late either, so just chill there." I said.

Later I saw the two who had just entered the restaurant. I bet Storm.

"Sorry, we're late because of traffic," Storm said as he approached us and immediately kissed his sister on the cheek.

"It's good that you're here because your sister has been complaining already," I said laughing.

"As far as I know Kiara, you're always late whenever we decide to hang out and now you're complaining?"  Storm said as they sat down.

His sister just pouted. "I'm hungry," she said.

My friend raised an eyebrow at me. "Don't tell me you didn't buy her food?" he asked me.

"You know that she's always full whenever we are together," I answered him.

We called the waiter and then ordered food.

"Did you and Kaye talk already brother?" Kiara suddenly asked

Storm immediately looked at him.

"Yes, when she got back here in the Philippines, she went to see me,"

My fiance nodded. " We met last time at the mall and we had lunch. She mentioned it to me." Kiara said.

"It's good to know that she didn't bother you anymore," I said.

"She's always in the office," Bea's groin made me look at her.

"For real?" I asked.

"Kaye often goes to the office,"  Storm said.

We stopped talking when our order suddenly arrived and since we were both feeling hungry, we started eating. After we just walked around for a while and then decided to go home, Storm took Bea while I was with Kiara because we still had somewhere to go.

Storm POV

When I dropped off Bea, I immediately went home. I wanted to rest because I was really tired. There are a lot of things that need to be done in the office.

"Sir, are you going to eat?" one of our maids asked.

"No, I'm already full," I answered her and went straight to my room to change.

And when I got dressed, I immediately sat on the bed to dry my hair when someone called my phone.

"Hello, who are you?" I asked when I answered it.

"Hey Storm, it's me, Kaye."

"What do you need?" I asked her. I don't want to be rude but I'm really tired.

"Can we talk?"

"Please, Kaye, I'm tired now. And as far as I know, we don't have anything else to talk about." I said.

"Please, Storm. I'm here outside,"

I decided to go down to face her, maybe it would be better if we talked now so that everything would be over. I don't want Kaye to hope that we will get back together because that thing will never happen.

When I got down I found her sitting in the living room. So I walked closer to her and sat on the other seat.

"Storm, I miss you!" she said and was about to hug me but I quickly dodged.

"Talk now Kaye because I want to rest," I said seriously.

I saw sadness in her eyes. "Is there no chance that we can make up and get back together?"

"You know I have a girlfriend and I love her very much, so I hope you respect that. You shouldn't be asking me that because it's impossible to happen," I said.

"I know that thing, I just love you and I can't let you go yet. I thought when I came back I would still have you but it seems I was wrong."

"As you can see Kaye, I'm happy and content now, so I hope you are too. I loved you before. You are one of the most important people in my life but whatever we had is over. I don't blame you for the decision you made in life and for leaving me. Yes, I admit that I was hurt but when you told me your reason, that was enough for me I'll forgive you." I said.

She smiled at me. "Maybe I just hoped that when I came back, I didn't think that someone else could own your heart already. You know that I also want you to be happy because I hurt you once. I will not be an obstacle in that matter. Maybe we just need to have closure. It's hard and painful for me to let go of the person I love but there's nothing I can do,"

"It's not hard to love you Kaye and I can prove that. You're a brave woman and I know you can overcome this thing. You can also move on and you'll find the man for you. We have so many happy moments and I will not forget that, you will always be a part of my life, Kaye." I said smiling.

"I guess this is goodbye, to my love for you. I'm happy because I was part of your life, I'm happy because Storm Kyzer Alcantara loved me. So friends?" She extended her hand to me while crying. I accepted it and then hugged her.

I know Kaye is a brave and strong woman, she will be able to move on in time. I am wishing that she can find someone who can truly make her happy and love her because I'm not that person anymore.
