Kiara POV

When I entered my brother's office I saw him eating, I looked at the time and it was two o'clock in the afternoon. I thought he was full. When I called him before I came here, that's what he said.

"Hi, brother," I said and kissed his cheek.

"Why are you here? I told you to rest. You just got back from the flight." he preached to me.

"Yes I already did, I already slept when I came home. I thought you were full?" I asked him.

"I'm full but Bea brought this food,"

I sat next to him. "Bea?"

"Yes, she just came here before you arrived. She gave it to me,"

"I didn't know that you two were okay. Since when? I remember the last time you talked before I went to another country was not good." I said

"We already talked about it, so all of that is okay,"

"Good to know it, avoid being hot-headed. You know, brother, you and Bea are a good match, it looks like she can handle your arrogance." I joked.

He looked at me seriously. "Stop joking around Princess Kiara, I have no plans to enter into a relationship and my type of woman is not the same as Beatrice."

"You know brother, don't talk like that. Maybe later I'll be surprised that you've dated her." I said teasing him.

"That's nonsense!" he said.

I laughed. "She is beautiful and kind," I said.

"No matter what you say, I don't have a plan. You know that I hate commitment. They're all the same,"

"Duh! Women are different, if you can talk like that you might be forgetting that I'm your sister and I'm a girl," I said.

"So you're a girl? I thought you weren't,"

I hit him quickly. "Storm Kyzer Alcantara, you're getting on my nerves! You're ugly," I shouted.

"If I'm ugly, so are you Princess Kiara Alcantara because we're siblings." Then he laughed.

"Whatever you say brother, as long as I believe that the time will come when your heart will soften again. It's been so many years and you should forget about Kaye." I exclaimed.

"And you think I am not? I forgot about her for a long time and as you can see I'm already fine,"

"If you say so, maybe it's because you're still waiting for her to come back," I tease him.

"I will not waste my time for a person who is not worth it, I am not like you who is waiting for Nigel,"

I frowned again because of what he said. "You're so mean!"

"Why? What I'm saying is true."

"Hey! He told me to wait for him!" I said.

"What if he doesn't come back? You waited for nothing,"

"Whatever!" I snorted and the fool just laughed.

After he finished eating he just walked back to his table and started working again, sometimes my brother's unrestrained mouth is annoying.

"So why are you here?" he asked me.

"Nothing, I just visited you because I know you miss me," I answered him.

"Why would I miss you?"

"Of course, you haven't seen your gorgeous sister for how many days," I confidently said.

"I don't know where you got your assumption, mommy isn't like that,"

I took the small pillow that was next to me and immediately threw it at him. "You always have a bad attitude,"

"You're a sadist, if I were you, you'd change before Nigel left you,"

I raised my brow at him "He won't leave me, he'll be dead to Aunt Calli and Uncle Dark." I said.

"What if he just wakes up one day and realizes that he doesn't love you anymore? What are you going to do?"

"No! That thing won't happen because I know he won't hurt me, he's just afraid of you." I said.

"You're too complacent."

"I'm just telling the truth, brother, and if the day comes when that happens and we're not what we were meant to be, I know I still have you," I said and I saw him smile at me.

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Why?" I ask.

"It's nothing, I just see Mommy in you, that's how her expression is."

I stood up and approached him. "It's true that we see our parents in each other. You see Mommy in me and I see Daddy in you." I said.

"And the day will come that you will have your own family. I know you will become a good wife and a mother in the future,"

"You too brother, when the day comes you will have your own family, I know that your wife and children will be lucky because you have been a good brother and parent to me," I said.

"But for now it's just the two of us until that day comes," I added.

"You know I'm always here for you even if you get married and have children I will always have your back."

I smiled and hugged him, I felt him hug me too. Later the door opened and Beatrice entered. "These two siblings are so sweet," she said smiling.

"That's because I miss my brother too much," I said.

"Kiara, you just went to another country and you are assuming." my brother's groin.

"Damn you! You are such a demon!" I shouted at him and looked at Bea. "Girl, if he dated or courted you, don't say yes, Okay?" I said.

"You're crazy Kiara, what the hell are you talking about," Bea said in shock.

I laughed because of her reaction, it was obvious that she was embarrassed because of what I said.
