Chapter 11: Chapter 11

Storm POV

I went to the bathroom to calm myself because of the frustration I am feeling now because Beatrice didn't remind me of the meeting I had today with one of my investments. So I can't help but feel frustrated.

"You've been working here for two months, haven't you? And I always remind you that all my schedules should be arranged by you! What's so hard to understand?" I snort at her.

"And I've told you several times, Sir, yesterday I reminded you of that meeting. I didn't know you weren't listening and you didn't keep it in your mind."

"You're going to blame me now? You're my secretary, that's just your job. Yesterday was different from today and you must remind me again! Do you know how important that client is? And because of your stupidity, I lost it!" I shouted at her.

"I doing my job properly and how many times I have told you that I already reminded you about that meeting earlier, so it's not my fault anymore that you forgot it,"

"No matter what you say, that thing can't do anything! Do you think you can bring back what's already been lost? No!" I promise.

"What do you want me to do now? Go after that client and beg?"

"Don't answer me with that tone because I can fire you from my company right now! I don't know why my sister wants you to work here, you're stupid!" I said.

"It's better to be stupid than to have a bad attitude like you! Yes, I am working for you but you have no right to trample on my personality because you do not own my life!"

I laughed because of what she said. "So you're brave now? Did you already forget that you owe me something? You must be thankful that my sister wants you to work here because otherwise, I would have fired you a long time ago! Don't act so high in front of me because you might forget that I am the reason why your mother is still alive" I said emphatically.

She was silent for a moment and bowed her head. "I didn't forget that debt of gratitude to you, Sir, and I will pay it back, but because you helped me it doesn't mean that you have the right to say what you want to say or to judge my personality. Yes, I'm poor, but I know how to  respect other people,"

"And you think I am not? I know how to respect but I don't tolerate people who don't value work! I don't waste my money on worthless people." I said seriously. "Just pray that I get to talk to that client because if I don't I won't think twice about firing you!" I added.

We were in that situation when the door suddenly opened and my sister entered with Nigel.

"What's happening here? I can hear you outside, brother." Kiara exclaimed, Nigel followed her.

"This friend of yours is getting on my nerves! Because of her, I lost a client!" I said annoyed.

Kiara looked at Beatrice as if asking for an explanation.

"Yesterday I told him that he had a meeting and this morning I reminded him again and he nodded so I thought he would never forget, and now he will blame it on me. It's not my fault, since I did my job properly but since he's the boss he wants to blame others and not accept his mistake," Bea explained.

I saw Nigel laughing as if he was happy because of what he heard.

"Talk to that woman Kiara because I won't think twice about firing her, losing my client is a different matter," I said seriously and went back to sitting.

My sister sighed and Beatrice motioned to join her outside. Kiara knows me when I say I do.

"Chill man, you're too hot-headed," Nigel said.

"How can I not get angry? You saw how that girl answered, "I just let her go but when this kind of mistake is made at work, it won't be okay with me." I promise.

"Did you already talk to that client?"

I nodded. "He just scheduled it with his secretary for the next day because he will be leaving for another country for some matter," I answered.

"That's good, I'm sure the client won't just back out, especially since it's Alcantara Company."

"Yeah, but that woman is giving me a headache," I said.

"You're always scolding her, you can just try to talk to her calmly,"

"How can I calm down if she behaves like that? We're not close enough for her to act like that and she owes me something so she has no right to be arrogant in front of me," I said.

"You just got used to being your secretary without a word and know that girl looks belligerent so that's what's happening."

I sighed and looked back at my laptop. There isn't a day that doesn't ruin my mood because of that woman.

Later, the door opened and my sister walked in, walking like a model.

"I already talk to her my dear brother, sometimes you talk in a nice way, not like you always have a grudge," she said and sat down next to Nigel.

I just gave her a bad look and she laughed. I don't know why these two are here now.
