Chapter 83: Chapter 83

"It's official," Liam's began as he strode into the house with Lillian by his side, meeting the blank stares of the witches before him.

"She's gone, poof! No trace of the witch! Not even her daughter! It's like she never was, even the pictures of her are missing,” Lillian said, "Morning,” she added looking around at the group, her eyes falling, "no sign of them yet?" She asked.

Ena shook her head, "two days and still nothing,” she paused good glancing over at them, "and of course Stephania won't be found, I'm sure she was gone long before we thought of her, she might not even be in this realm anymore"

"Realm?"

Abigail ignored the question standing up, "two days and no sign of Azian or Kaya, I'm getting worried. "

"What if they never come back?" Ally said finally voicing the one fear she was afraid of

"Don't say that, they’ll come back,” Lillian snapped back glancing sternly at Ally. That thought was enough to make any Aunt mad.

"Yes, but you have to admit it's been-"

"Abigail?" Ena called interrupting Anna, all eyes moved to the witch who had fro, en in position, her eyes a misty color as if she was no longer in the midst, it was about ten more seconds before Abigail gasped for air, looking around them.

"Abigail what happened? Are you alright?" Mariah asked as they encircled her, very concerned.

Abigail looked at them wide eyes, "Omega opened our connection, I know where they are," she replied glancing at the people around her.

"What? This is what we've been waiting for? What are we still doing here? Let’s go! Where are they?" Lillian asked grabbing on to Abigail's hand?

Abigail blinked twice, "I-he said I shouldn't bring anyone, only me," she replied glancing at Edwin first before trailing to the others.

"What do you mean only you? Kayas my daughter!” Liam bellowed.

Abigail glanced at him, "I'm sorry" she whispered before swiping her hand and disappearing.

"Abigail!" Anna gasped.

The others all groaned in defeat.

*********

Abigail appeared right outside the door, her fingers shaking as she knocked outside the hotel door.

She had expected him to take his time, but she had barely touched it when the door swung open, a tired Azian standing before her.

She gazed at him, holding their stare for a moment, wondering how she was going to apologize to him for hiding the truth he so rightly deserved to know, "T-thank you for calling me Azian I-"

"Something’s wrong with Kaya,” He blurted out frantically, it was then she saw the panic and fear in his eyes. The only time she had ever seen fear in his eyes.

Her eyes widened as Azian led her inside, her eyes falling on Kaya who laid covered up in the bed, she was shivering frantically and the whites of her eyes where showing as she groaned, she immediately took off her jacket rushing to her, "What happened? Is it your bite?" She asked pulling Kaya into her arms.

"I don't know, " Azian replied truthfully, his hands shivering in a panic, his voice far, and soft, a scare in his tone like he was living his worst nightmare, "she was fine, the bond was okay then she just" he trailed off as his body trembled.

Abigail examined her, calling Kayas name softly, her hands feeling her temperature till she potted a red burn on Kayas neck.

"Omegas tried everything but nothing happening, she's just getting worse, I-I"

Abigail brushed Kayas hair back and gasped when she saw the golden dragon tattoo on her, the dragon was glowing a bright red on her shoulder as it snorted out, it's sharp teeth sprawled out as it pranced round her shoulder, like it was fighting something before it does

Disappeared, reappearing again with a roar before disappearing.

"She's rejecting it" she said softly,

"What?" Azian asked stopping in the middle of his panic, Kaya groaned pushing her head into the pillow.

"Kaya's rejecting your Claim and your bond," she said softly glancing up at Azian.

"That's impossible" Azian began to stuttering, failing to find his voice, Abigail looked lost for a minute, starting back at the heated up Kaya, "but it's happening," she paused standing up as she stomped to Azian who looked back at Kaya in despair,

"Azian"

"No," he shook his head moving toward Kaya but being stopped by Abigail, "Azian" she repeated gently.

"No!" Azian replied his eyes flaring gold, "She can't. It’s. Not. Possible.” he gritted out his jaw clenched tightly.

He wanted to go to her, to see for himself but Abigail would not allow it, gently pushing him back, "Azian look at me..." She trailed off

"Abigail, help her! Why are you talking to me? You’re wasting time she needs-"

"You to go," She replied softly causing Azians eyes to lock on her, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion, his heart beating loudly, his three beings quiet as death when they heard this, "what?" He asked slowly.

"You are doing this to her, she won't calm down if you're near her Azian," she said gently.

"But-"

"You need to go"

He froze staring at Kaya before shaking his head furiously, his eyes turning his Alpha gold, "No, she was fine. You just want to take her away from us, I won't allow you-"

"Look at me Azian," Abigail pleaded her hands on either side of his face, pulling it down to look at her, even though his eyes remained on Kaya.

"I'm not going to do anything. She's rejecting your bond and you near her is not helping at all, that's why she isn't responding go Omegas treatment,” she whispered back slowly.

Their gaze strayed away from Kaya to Abigail, "if you really care for her, you’ll leave. Just until she's better, I'll call her Aunt who is very worried about her and she'll be in their hands, Listen to me baby, I'm not taking her from you,” she assured her.

Azian breathed out harshly starting at her in desperation, he glanced back at Kaya who suddenly groaned again, "I'll take care of her, I promise," She assured addressing his cheek.

He gritted his teeth, his eyes straying to Kayas in defeat before nodding and suddenly disappearing.

Abigail took a deep breath out, before turning back to Kaya who suddenly stopped shivering in an instant, but only lay perfectly still.

She moved to her checking her temperature and feeling her hot skin, brushing her hair to the side. Her dragon was still burning and her skin was hot and feverish.

She calmed herself, before beginning to mutter healing spells.

**

Liam rushed to Kayas side after receiving the call from Abigail, his heart fell when he saw his precious daughter lying still in bed.

"What's wrong with her?" Ally asked as Abigail stood up at their arrival, Lillian immediately taking her place at Kayas bed side, "oh baby what happened to you?" She whispered with tears in her eyes as she squeezed Kayas hand. Liam kissed her forehead trying to brush out the tears rubbing her protectively.

Abigail sighed standing next to Ally, "She’s alright, she just needs to be closer to people she loves"

"What happened?" Anna asked for the rest of the group who were present, all except Edwin.

She shook her head sighing, "I don't know how, but She's rejecting the bond, Azians claim on her is fading but her Dragon mark keeps fighting back, I don't understand it, " As soon as she said this everybody saw the sudden gold-ish red burn that appeared on Kayas neck before it disappeared again.

"What was that?" Liam asked glancing at Kayas shoulder one more time before looking back up at Abigail.

"That was their bond, I never thought it would take the shape of his Dragon"

"So cool" Ally whispered against herself.

Ena shook her head trying to put things into perspective, "but how is this possible? How can she reject the bond, just like that?!" She asked. She had never ever heard on such a thing. And this coming from a mere human, who were the weakest beings on earth was quite baffling,

"And this just makes it more confusing, because it means Kaya isn't Azians mate. Why else would she be rejecting the bond if she really was?" Anna asked causing everyone to see the truth in this.

Abigail shook her head slowly, "I'm done thinking and jumping to conclusions,” she huffed, “we need to find Azian and set things straight."

"With that plan you don't want to tell us about?" Maria asked her head aching slightly from all that happened during this bothersome week.

Abigail nodded turning to Lillian, "I need you two to stay here, if anything changes with Kaya make sure to call me, Anna it would be best you stay just in case we are not able to arrive soon, we need to go and get answers once and for all"

"And you are sure about this plan of yours? If you believe it can work why are you only bringing it up how?" Maria asked unconvinced.

"Honestly, it might not work,” Abigail sighed, “but it's a fair shot even if the odds of it working may be one in a million, but I believe there is some truth to our history and this is the last thing we can do to find the truth, our last resort."

"Great, our last resort and it has a 99.9 percent chance of not working, agh!" Anna groaned.

Abigail sighed, "It’s all or nothing, let’s go" she said swishing her hand and disappearing, the rest following only leaving behind Anna, Liam, Lillian and Ally.

Lillian stared back at Kaya as Liam run his hand through her hair, "princess, you're safe,” she whispered patting her hand as Liam kissed her forehead.

They stayed like that for a few minutes just watching Kaya, Anna changed the cloth that was on her forehead to keep down her fever from time to time.

Suddenly Liam’s phone rang, and he answered the call stepping out for a minute, he came back three minutes later with a guilty look on his face

"What? What's wrong?" Lillian asked watching his expression

"Uh, that was Gabrielle," he began scratching his neck.

"Who's Gabrielle?" Anna asked glancing at the two before starting back down at Kaya.

"Oh that's Kayas mom," Ally replied casually.

"What about Gabrielle?" Lillian asked watching Liam suspiciously.

"Uh, she’s on her way home," He trailed off slowly

"What?!" All three of them asked,

Lillian took center stage, "what do you mean she's on her way? Is she on a flight or?"

"She's heading home, her plane just touched down, she's currently at the airport, and she said she'll book a cab."

"Why? Why is she here Liam?!" Lillian screeched her voice rising higher and higher in panic as she glared at Liam.

"Well......" He trailed off rubbing his neck, "I might have called her earlier on and said something, nothing about Kaya, but she said I was not making sense and I was acting strange like you had. Then she said she was coming to make sure things were okay here, apparently she didn't take my word for it"

"Of course she wouldn't take your word for it! As far she knows you’re the man that broke her heart!"

Liam's face morphed into pain suddenly shifting as Lillian shit her eyes, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that. It’s just..." She turned to Kaya, "look at her, and Gabrielle-"

"Part of the reason she's coming is because Kaya wasn't picking up her calls either, so she was convinced something was wrong"

"And what did you tell her?" Anna asked glaring at Liam momentarily before switching clothes.

"I told her everything was fine and that Kaya was at home" he said softly.

Anna sighed, "Then we need to take her home"

"But is it alright moving her in this state?" Ally asked concerned.

Anna shook her head, "it's not really ideal but maybe it will be a lot easier to explain to Gabrielle while Kaya is in her own bed. And I'll teleport her there, it will be easier,"

"Okay, alright, breath Lillian breathe" Aunt Lily said trying to regulate herself, wondering what she would say to Gabrielle, she was sure her cousin would be one heck of a savage to deal with.

"We better go." Anna said softly.

Lillian nodded.
