Chapter 58: Chapter 58
Kaya’s POV
Where was I at the moment? Easy, seated in my car failing to move as I watched the popular four walk into school. We had arrived at roughly the same time but I told Khloe I wasn't yet ready to face him, so we waited until they entered the school halls before we came out of the car.
"So are you going to tell him now?" Ally asked as she locked the car.
I grabbed the iPad harder, "uhmm, maybe not at school," I muttered already feeling eyes on me.
People would not let me live my little incident down.
"Uh, okay…” Ally dragged turning to face me, "you'll talk to him after school? And if so how? Those people usually leave at the sound of the bell, unless you know where he lives?"
"No, but maybe tonight when he comes over,” I replied with a small voice, I could feel the sweat at the back of my hands.
I really did not know where all this nervousness came from. I was so confident less than ten minutes ago.
"Tonight?!" Ally screeched, “Are you mad? Are you seriously going to confront in him in his comfort zone?"
"What? What Comfort Zone?"
She ignored me, "what if he uses his magic on you, you know, to make you forget?"
"Magic?" I chuckled at this. She still strongly believed there was magic in this.
She rolled her eyes, "you still don't believe it? How then does he make you believe it's a dream every night? He is not human. Or if he is, then he is some kind of witchy thing, Remember what I told you?" Her voice lowered into a whispers, "the evening I saw Azian use his magic?"
"On the football captain?"
"Yes, I am a hundred percent sure Azian, that boy Edwin and Alessia are not human"
"Shh!" I hushed her watching as other students glanced at us curiously.
"Don't hush me! Most of them know it as well! Half of the students at this school are supernatural!"
"Ally!" I scolded. I believed in her craziness more than I wanted to actually, but I would not allow anyone else to think she was crazy.
She rolled her eyes, “all I'm saying is, talking to him where he believes he is in control is not a good idea, these...” She paused moving to a lower whisper, "things will manipulate you in ways our human minds will not understand, remember legions guard? Please Kaya, I know you know what I'm saying"
I gritted my teeth, moving closer, "of course I know what you’re saying, I'm not stupid" I muttered thinking back to how Legion sniffed me the other day and the growls I always heard when I was around him.
My mind flashed back to the wolf statue we had seen in his garden and shivered, "let's not talk about that now. This magic stuff is way too much at one time. Look, I just found out the hottest guy in school and my crush sneaks into my room at night and I'm going to confront him, so let's just end it there. For now."
She nodded seeming to be okay with this.
"Okay I'll just go ask him,” I said taking a deep breath in preparing to walk into the building before Ally suddenly tugged me back harshly,
"Right now Kaya? Are you mad?!" She screeched.
My eyes widened, “make up your dang mind girl! Didn't you say its best I tell him now, out of his comfort zone?" I mocked, my eyes widening involuntarily.
She rolled her eyes, "of course, but not just in the open like this. its morning, everyone's eyes will be on him as usual, and with your track record any contact you make with him will not go unnoticed"
I grumbled at this realizing her truth, "so what are you suggesting?"
"after lunch, since they usually finish their meals faster than their normal people, there will be a little less people walking the halls, approach him and ask-"
"Ask why he comes to my room?"
"No, ask him to talk to you after school somewhere private. Like the grounds or the gym. The library would be preferable, few people go there anyway. Then you can ask him away from the public eye. It's meant to be a private conversation"
That made sense. A lot of sense.
"Kapeesh?"
"Kapeesh" I replied before trudging into school.
