Chapter 51: Chapter 51
Kaya’s POV.
OH MY GOD THERE WERE HICKIES ON MY NECK!
I stepped closer to the mirror examining them my face reddening. But this could only mean-- nah--i shook my head, that couldn't be--but yes-- there was no way I could have given them to myself! That was impossible!
This could only mean...my mind flashed back to the two empty glasses on the counter, the sight of my frizzy hair and finally the hickies. I wanted to doubt it, but I couldn’t. I couldn't.
I reached for the tap as I heard a loud knock on my bedroom door causing my heart to drop drastically.
"Kaya! Honey are you okay in there? I heard you scream?!" Aunt Lily called from the other side of the door.
"uhmm, yeah! I'm okay, just slipped!" I called back holding onto the bathroom sink for support.
"Oh-okay.be more careful next time!" She called before silence filled the room again.
I turned back to the mirror glancing at the light pale bruises on my neck, trimmed with dark circles making them look brutal. He had been brutal last night.
The thought brought a soft shiver though me. But how could this be? I stared at my reflection clueless. I wanted to believe this was all a lie, but how could I when I could see it.
And there was no reasonable explanation for it. The only person who could help me was Ally. Yes, she might believe my story.
I tried to cover it up with some make up but it kept showing. With a small grunt I settled for a turtle neck and put my hair down in soft waves.

I headed toward the kitchen my eyes landing on my breakfast. "Morning" I called sitting down before it.
"Morning love" Aunt Lily replied her back towards me as she scrambled the eggs. She turned around placing the eggs before me, then she suddenly froze.
I could feel her eyes on me and I subconsciously pulled my hair closer to my face, making sure it covered my neck.
I looked up at her as she folded her arms raising an eyebrow. Could she tell?
"A turtle neck?" She asked looking at me suspiciously. I sighed at that throwing my very best innocent look, "I wanted to try it out, isn't my usual style I know, you don't like it?"
She grinned, “Nah it’s okay, just felt different," she finished turning away. I let out a breath eating my breakfast hurriedly so I could get to Ally. Speaking of Ally she was running late today, it was almost seven and she was nowhere to be seen.
"Oh and Ally says she won't be able to pass through today so I'll take you, you'll meet her at school." I scrunched my forehead wondering what could have happened.
"That's okay with you right? You haven't gotten tired of you Aunt Lily that quickly have you? She asked with a playful smirk.
I chuckled, “Nah, I'm still hanging in there" I joked as she placed a plate beside me and dug into her breakfast.
