Chapter 31: Chapter 31
Kayas POV
"There are boys out there kaya, ones that can love you, and then there are beasts, ones that will hurt you, I don't want to see you get hurt,"
The words echoed in my mind as I sat cross legged on Ally's bed the book in my hands. She watched me closely. Her mouth open from all I had just told her.
I glanced up at her, "so? Aren't you going to say anything? "
She paused twisting a braid, "I hope he doesn't kiss your sister next” she asked.
"Ally!"
She giggled pushing me playfully, “you girl, are the most unlucky, lucky person I've ever met, “she replied sliding out of bed.
I groaned slamming the pillow over my face, "I mean what the hell did he even mean, and it wasn't even a kiss, it was like a peck on the cheek but got mistaken for the lips kiss,” I argued into the pillow.
"Well,” she began taking the pillow off my face, “a kiss, is a kiss, "
"Ugh!” I shut my eyes tightly.
"Come on,” she said taking my hands in hers.
"Nope,”
"Open them,”
"Nope"
"Just a little,”
I peeked through my thick eyelashes just as my phone rang.
"Answer the call,” Ally orders sitting by her computer.
I rolled over checking the call, “its mom,” I announced excitedly, I hadn't talked to mom in weeks.
Immediately, Ally run over to me just as I answered the phone call.
"Hey mom!” I greeted
My mom’s face shone through the screen, "hey baby, Hung! Come see my daughter!” she yelled switching angles, her short trendy hair bouncing up and down her shoulders, her dark brown eyes shining through the screen.
I giggled as Ally wiggled next to me, “Hey Gabriele,” she greeted
Mom paused, bringing the. Camera close to her face as if that would make her see us better, “Ally, is that you?” she asked amazed.
Ally chuckled, "yes, alive and in the flesh... Well through the screen,” she corrected her eyebrows furrowing.
"Oh my dear, I can't believe it’s you, and all grown up,”
A small blush began on her rosy cheeks as my mom buttered her up.
"Wow, you really do take after Kathy, how is she by the way?”
"All good, the same old"
"Well that's great I guess, and your father? "
"Dads fine, just busy... As usual,” she added lowly.
Mom nodded as I made myself visible again, “for a minute there I thought I was forgotten,” I joked as my mother broke out into a wide smile.
"Oh honey I miss you so much, sorry for not calling sooner"
"It’s okay, I know its busy over there,"
"And that isn't an excuse, work never comes first when it comes to you, you know that right love? If you miss me, just say the word and I'll head on the first flight over there,”
I shook my head, hiding my smile, “of course I miss you mom, but I think it’s better you stay in China for now, until I join you there of course,”
Her smile faltered a bit, her eyes growing Grey, “I heard your dad had moved in near you guys,”
I nodded glancing at Ally, "yes, he and Stephanie and Khloe, Khloe and I are both at Rodney high,”
"That bastard,” she muttered
"Mom,”
"I bet he tried to make you move in with him,”
My eyes widened involuntary, “he did try,”
"I can't believe him.”
"Mom,” I whined
"Okay, okay, how's Lily?”
"Oh the same, spicy as ever, " I replied smiling.
"I miss her so much, anything else you want to tell momma, anything exciting happen?”
"Yeah Kaya, what exciting thing happened?” Ally taunted.
"I smell I really nice story,” mom added giving me her curious look, "uh huh, I see a blush,”
I groaned, "nothing okay, just some boy stuff,” I said covering my face with my free hand
"Well I have a half hour free, spill," mom cheered
"She kissed two guys!” Ally blurted earning a glare from me.
My mom’s eyes widened.
"Who kissed two guys?” someone asked in a rough English tone.
The face of a short Chinese man, I assumed was "Hung" appeared on the screen.
My blush deepened, “is this your daughter Gabby?” he asked his Chinese accent strongly standing out.
"Same blood baby,”
"She precious!” he complimented
We giggled.
"You got two?! " he asked his adorable face moving in as he saw Ally, "can I borrow your genes?”
We all laughed, before mom introduced us all.
Then I told her all that happened in the last month, she’s been away.
