Chapter 30: Chapter 30

WRITERS POV

The silence that eloped them lasted for a full minute.  Everybody was shocked to the core.

"Your step sister?” Ena echoed.  How was it they were just finding this out?  Come to think of it, they knew very little thing about Khloe when it came to her family life. Though she talked about her mom and Dad all the time she rarely said anything about, or even mentioned having a step sister.

"Yes, I thought you all knew I had a step sister,” she replied folding her arms, “my mother remarried her father basically," she explained moving to sit beside them, eyeing the food before her. Everything was all carbs. She looked up Edwin who had some bacon grease on hi slower lip and shook her head giving him a short chuckle.

None of them could speak past that, all we're left speechless.

"Why is everything so quiet?" Azian asked appearing at the top of the stairs, his eyes furrowing as he watched what seemed to be everyone frozen in time.

"Nothing I was just telling your family-" Khloe began,

"How happy she was to be training with us," Abigail cut in sending all of them a glare.

Azian raised an eyebrow completely unconvinced,

"Y-yes, exactly,” Khloe replied glancing over at Abigail before sending Azian a sweet smile.

"Come on dear, come eat... We are already late,” Abigail sashayed, grabbing his hand and leading him to the dinner table.

"Yes, time is not on our side,” Ena backed up quickly sitting at the table, ignoring the shake in her hands.

Azian studied the faces of all around him, that still looked shocked but it quickly drowned to the back of his mind when he got the sight of the food spread before him...

"Alright, let’s eat then, I’m hungry," Edwin commented digging in as they all tried to find some sort of conversation to begin with.

Standing in the back yard, Ena paused turning to Azian, "we have a lot of work to do,”

Khloe stared at the small back yard, "so this is where you train?” she asked

Abigail chuckled,  "no,  this is way too small for a dragon, " she began staring at the few trees that we're in the back yard, "have you ever heard of Pockets? " she asked

Khloe shook her head

"These are spaces between realms, always changing, never the same place twice,” she moved farther from them muttering a few words.

Pausing she turned to look at Khloe,  "only those of great magic can conjure up such a world. " she began "welcome to somewhere"

The world around them suddenly began to fade slowly,  the shapes of the house tops and trees became less vivid as things began to change,  fade and change some more until it seemed there we're in an empty space,  then in a blink of an eye they arrived in

Somewhere.

It was someplace hard to describe, covered in grasslands and trees, rivers, lakes and mountain tops.

"Wow," Khloe complemented walking forward, get eyes set on all the nature around her.

Alessia breathed in sighing, "Now this is fresh air," she said walking past the small group.

Edwin rolled his shoulders taking in the usual sight before him, "they're never the same worlds but they all look the same, trees, rivers mountain tops,”

"That's because the winter cycle isn't yet in, soon it will be snow, snow and more snow," Ena replied taking a stand in the middle, "let's not waste any more time. Edwin!” she called out.

He nodded moving back. "You may want to take a step back," Azian whispered to Khloe guiding her a back.

She nodded allowing him as she watched Edwin closely.

He grinned, "now, whatever you do don't run, dragons are hunters naturally,"

"So are vampires," Khloe countered smirking, “I’ll be fine"

"Maybe, but Edwin is a Liche Dragon, they’re not exactly the most beautiful dragons, "Azian replied grabbing her hand.

She looked at him confused but turned to watch.

Edwin shivered lightly relaxing his shoulders. he breathed out sharply as suddenly his skin began to melt from his body, his bones began to be visible, scales forming over the monstrosity growing out of his back, the cracking of bones, twisting of joints as he hunched back over noiselessly, he looked up at Khloe his eyes a fire of purple making her gasp, as Azian held her in place, the dust around Edwin engulfing him till he couldn't be seen.

Then in a blink of an eye the dust was gone and in its place, there it stood, The dragon before them was all bones hurting around it, its wings huge and wide yet more bat like with a few rips in it, its eyes we're replaced with purple like fires that shone all through its body as it roared, glad to be free from its human cage.

"Oh my god,” Khloe gasped gripping tightly onto Azian. "You seem to get uglier every time you transform,” Alessia complimented taking a sweep of him.

The large dragon shook its head at her, before flapping its huge wings.

"Deal with it Orion, Mr death isn't all that bad, Now look at those genes, " Anna added taking her daughters side.

"W-why-" Khloe began

"Is he so ugly?" Alessia finished.

"-Bony," Khloe retorted.

"Orion here is a Liche dragon, one of the rarest dragons to ever exist," Azian replied walking toward the dragon lifting his hand forward, his eyes his supreme gold.

The dragon immediately became very still as Asians hand touched its bony face, "Orion can't breathe fire like other dragon” he said quietly.

The beast before them flapped its wings again,  "but he can wake the dead,  something not even I can do,” he replied staring back Khloe, before turning back to Orion,  "Go Rome free for a while,  then we must continue your training, "

The dragon immediately took its orders flapping its large wings till it was off the ground and soaring high up in the distance.

"Where is he going?” Khloe asked watching as it disappeared in the clouds.

Azian shrugged, "probably to hunt, it’s the first thing every dragon thinks about when they're free, " he replied walking after Anna, Abigail, Alessia and Ena’s retreating figures.

"So how do you train him?” Khloe asked walking by Abigail

Ena laughed, "No mere mortal or immortal can train a dragon. You must know that dragons we're the king race, superior to any other race in the supernatural realm,"

"Yes, I know that," Khloe replied thinking back

"Azian trains him, well, since Orion can only listen to his alphas orders without Azian Around to keep him in check, we’d probably be the ones being trained,” Anna explained chuckling

"So when are we going to see the Alpha?" Khloe asked glancing at Azian.

Everyone stopped walking as Azian turned around sighing, “I’ve never actually transformed yet,"

Khloe raised an eyebrow, "w-what?"

"I don't know what Alpha is waiting for, but he won't come out…Not yet and I can’t force him to,"

"B-but"

"Trust me we all have a lot of questions, "Abigail replied taking a stand by the large lake they had stop by.   "But none of us have the answers"

Azian gritted his teeth, "I can't force him, if he doesn't want to. He won't come out,”

There was a silence, before Khloe squeezed his hand, just as Ena spoke up, "okay, let's begin with your elements, Alpha may not want to train but at least Omega can, Alessia, "

"Oh" Alessia began mumbling something underneath her breath, immediately a small wave began to form from the lake.

"Control it,"

She nodded as it began accumulating, till it reached the size of a small car before dispersing.

"Omega,"

Asians eyes turned their electric green, the water starting like Alessia, growing and accumulating until the wall of water a the size of a dam, the fish could be seen through its glassy surface.

Then suddenly it disappeared, all the water until there was nothing but dry ground.

"Where is it?" Khloe asked in awe.

"Look there," Anna whispered.

She had barely noticed the angry dark cloud that had formed above it, and without warning, it began to rain, and rain it did till the lake was covered back with water. The fish jumping out in joy.

"Whoa,” Khloe gasped, running a hand through her wet blond hair in utter surprise, half minding being soaked as she watched in astonishment.

"Next time keep the rain in the lake," Alessia muttered shaking her frizzy hair.

"Let’s move on," Abigail began just as Orion's roar was heard in the distance.
