When she entered the house, Arya was panting heavily and felt afraid.  She was afraid Jack would chase after her.

She waited behind the door for a long time.  Nobody knocked on the door and neither did anyone called her on the phone.  Nothing happened.  She heaved a sigh of relief and hid in her room.

After lying in bed for a while, suddenly she realized she could peek out the window.  She got up and moved to the window to quietly look out.  Jack’s car had disappeared.

Oh no!

Did the wounded Mr. whiskey doctor retreat silently?  This is definitely not his style! !

He did not scold her or take revenge on her.  This is terrifying!  This matter had developed into a big matter.

Arya became even more alarmed.

This is simply the calm before the storm.

Did this mean he is angry?  She was overboard and had done something bad.  Although he was wrong at first but in the end, the person who had shown cruelty was her.  She had hurt him and in such a prominent place too.  It must have hurt his self-esteem and made him lose face.

Arya fell back on her bed and was in despair.

“Speak.”  Sophia tossed her handbag on the sofa and opened the fridge to take out a drink.

“There are two friends and one of them and injured the other.  The one injured is angry and the one who injured him wants to apologize.  What should she do?”

“Oh…….that is not important.”

“Then where is the injury?”

“Oh……that is also not important.”

“Since it is not important, then there is no need to apologize.  Why waste so much effort?”

“No…….No.  Regardless of who the other person is or where the injury is, it is still important to apologize.”  Arya said in a hurry.

When Sophia saw her expression, it stimulated her interest.  “If it is so difficult for you to tell me then it must be a boyfriend.  If it is so difficult to tell me where the injury is, then it must be in some secret place.”  She lifted her eyebrows and laughed.  “Arya, were you so excited that you injured him?”

“Soph!”  Arya was jumping with anxiety.  “I’m telling you a very serious question.”

“Okay, a very serious question…….”  Sophia said casually but she still maintained a positive expression and pretended to say seriously.  “You don’t have to apologize in this kind of situation.  A little disturbance is the essence of a relationship.  An injury represents your passions for each other, so why should you feel anxious?”

“It’s not passion.  It’s really not that kind of relationship.”

“If it is not that kind of relationship, then you should not even feel anxious at all.  You don’t intend to have a love relationship with him, so why should you think so much?”  Sophia looked at her and added.  “But looking at you, it doesn’t seem like you don’t have any relationship with him.  Why don’t you tell me what is going on?”

“It is nothing.  He is just an ordinary good friend.”

Before Arya could finish the sentence, she was interrupted by Sophia.  “Ordinary friends and good friends are two different things.  Ordinary good friends don’t exist.”

“Soph, don’t mess up this matter.”

What is there to analyze?  She just asked for an opinion, not an analysis.  Arya took a deep breath and said.  “Anyway, it’s just a good friend and I was careless.  I bumped into him and he was wounded.  I feel very embarrassed but to directly apologize to him is very awkward.  So I just want to ask you, do you have any good ideas?”

“Bumped into him………”  At a glance, it could be seen that Sophia’s thoughts had gone along the crooked path.

Arya was curious about what she had to say and asked.  “What is it?”

“Love”

Arya was dumbstruck.

She was wrong!  She should not have looked for this woman whose head was filled with only male and female relationships and romance novels to discuss friendship problems.

Arya returned to her room dejectedly and laid down on her bed in despair.

Both of them are really only good friends, only have good feelings for each other and they are better friends than ordinary friends……..that kind of good friends.

And they are friends, the kind that had pursued and was rejected……that kind of friends.  Both of them knew their bottom line for emotional development.  Therefore, they did not have any qualms and because of this, they were more relaxed with each other.

Soph had insulted the relationship between them.

“Dr. Jack, Dr. Jack…….the lunch box that I put in your car contains freshly prepared grilled chicken and it is not yesterday’s leftover.  You’ve to take it out and put it into the fridge, otherwise, it will go bad.”

She finished speaking in one breath and there was silence on the other end for a few seconds.  Then Jack’s low voice sounded.  “Arya, did you call me just for this?”

“Yes, this is very important.  Everything else can be discussed later.  This food can’t be left overnight.  This afternoon, I had skipped work to specially cook this.  Are you home yet?  Have you taken it out of your car?  You must put it in the refrigerator.”

‘You……..’  Jack had hung up the phone.

Arya was stunned and felt angry.  Dead whiskey doctor!  Such bad manners!

Poor personality!  Bad-tempered!

Originally, she had felt guilty but now all her guilty feelings had vanished without a trace.

The next day, Arya was in a bad mood.

Listlessly, she worked through the day until she went off work in the evening.  She walked gloomily to the bus stop.  At this moment, her cell phone rang and she took a look.

“Have you gotten off work?”

“How do you eat that grilled chicken of yours?  Can I put it directly into the microwave to heat it up?”

Arya was very unhappy.  There is food for him to eat and he still complained about being troublesome.  If she ever gives food to him again, she is a pig!

“Okay.  I’ll take the balance to the hospital tomorrow and share it with my colleagues.”

Arya was stunned.

“What did you say? ! !”

“I said you bit me.”

“Dr. Jack! ! !”

Arya took a deep breath.  Be calm…….be calm!   “Dr. Jack, you are really something. How can you say that?”

“I just told the truth.”

“Can’t you modify your words a bit more?”

“Not necessary.  Didn’t you remind me that Nurse Rita was interested in me?  So in this way, it is indirectly telling her clearly.”

“But if this grilled chicken is completely finished today, then I won’t have anything to take to the hospital tomorrow.  Do you want to come and finish it with me?!”
