Chapter 80: Chapter 80
As soon as the others left, Nadia clung to Angel. He buried his nose in her hair, stroking her back.
"I should call him, let him know I am fine," Nadia whispered against his pectorals. Angel sighed.
"You heard Cole Miller, it will not change anything. I do agree you need to call him but…"
"But?" Nadia repeated, drawing slightly back to gaze up into his face.
"What if he decided to send a group of those assassins to come and get you? Or ask you to come home. He is your father, Nadia…"
"And I am your woman. I will explain the situation to him. Perhaps if he finds out that I am now full-blown Were, he will understand and let us be…"
"And what if it doesn't play out that easily? He must know the kind of life you would be subjected to and no father would want that for their only child."
"What would you have me do? Do nothing and allow innocent people to die needlessly for me?"
"Nadia…"
"I have to make him see, that those assassins would be facing off with me and my people. That I will not back off. I will stand by their sides and fight!"
"Nadia, your heart is in the right place, but I will never let you do such a thing."
"Angel…."
"We just lost a child. Your body has barely adjusted to that. You may be carrying another right now, Nadie,"
"Angel…:
"I am not losing you," Angel said with emotion. Nadia's eyes blurred with tears.
"Don't you understand? I can't lose you either!" she cried, reaching up to cup the side of his face. "I will die, Angel," she added in a whisper. Angel lowered his face to kiss her.
"You will not lose me. The gods can not be that cruel. I have suffered enough… lost enough," he rasped against her lips.

Around midnight, the phone on the bedside table rang and Angel answered it. Cole Miller's voice sounded from the other end.
"We are moving out," he said.
"Noted," Angel said and dropped the phone. "Babe?" he called to Nadia, shaking her awake.
"Uhm?" she replied. Angel dropped a kiss on her lips.
"We are leaving," Angel said.
"'Kay," Nadia said and sat up.
A few minutes later they all assembled in the hotel lobby, waiting for the rest of the crew.
When Wulfrun strode inside, Angel could perceive an alien scent on him. He seemed a little irritated and only grunted his greetings.
When the crafts started to lower to the ground to pick them up, Angel saw him glancing over his shoulder repeatedly to a corner of the building just by tall, well-tended flowerbeds.
"You okay, man?" Angel leaned towards him and asked in a barely audible voice. Wulfrun sighed.
"I feel like I am about to make a mistake," he grumbled.
"About what?"
"Leaving her behind," he mumbled and a deep frown furrowed his eyebrows. Angel saw a shadowy figure peer out from the corner and caught a glimpse of Wulfrun's escort with her long vibrant blonde hair. He could perceive her mood and knew she didn't want to be parted yet from the alpha wolf either.
"Speak to Cole," Angel said close to his ear.
"It's not safe to bring her…" he said almost to himself.
"Tell me about it," Angel grumbled in frustration.
"You guys mind sharing?" Cole said, folding his arms as he stood in front of Wulfrun and Angel.
Angel blinked and saw everyone was already in the craft. Angel smiled sheepishly.
"You did this on purpose, didn't you?" Wulfrun grumbled, glaring at Cole.
"By this, do you perhaps mean the young beauty lurking back there behind the building?"
"I will never confide in you again!" Wulfrun said through gritted teeth. Cole chuckled.
"Do you guys mind sharing?" Angel said feeling left out.
"He told me the kind of women he likes, I simply put the word out," Cole said matter of factly. Angel chuckled.
"Now we have a problem. Cos I actually want this one," Wulfrun grumbled.
"Okay, let's say we sort out this Angel's father-in-law problem, and I promise to make sure you get to see her again."
"And if she'd lost interest?"
"I sincerely doubt that," Angel said, discreetly glancing over his shoulder.
"Man, she's got it bad," Cole said, chuckling. A slow hesitant grin stretched Wulfrun’sws lips. Bust his eyes seemed mysterious.
“She doesn’t know what I am, guys…” he said under his breath.
“It wouldn’t matter if she really likes you,” Cole replied. Angel lowered his gaze understanding Wulfrun’s plight far too well.
"Give me a sec.," Wulfrun said and strode back.
A few seconds later, Angel heard a gasp and then a low feminine moan. He cleared his throat and Cole gestured to the craft.
"I think we should wait inside," Cole said.
Angel laughed and followed him.
When Wulfrun came back he carried the unmistakable scent of someone who just had sex.
"I think you need to go take a quick shower before we head out, man," Cole said to him before he entered the craft. Angel let out a loud cough, trying to cover up a laugh. Xavier threw Wulfrun a raised eyebrow.
"Blame him," Wulfrun said, gesturing at Cole Miller.
"Really? This is what I get for taking friends out for a good time?" Cole said.
"What did you do?" Isabelle asked, glancing from Cole to Angel and then Wulfrun.
"You know your mate, always cooking up some shit," Wulfrun said vaguely and strode back to the building. Isabelle frowned, bemused. When she started to chew on her lower lip, giving Cole a narrow gaze. He chuckled and leaned over to kiss her on the lips.
"Technically, love, this is your fault. I wanted a quiet day out. You decided to bring friends," Cole whispered against her lips. Isabelle giggled.
The journey back to Cole's cabin was a quiet one. Couples huddled up together in their seats and some even fell asleep.
Once they reached the cabin, Cole lifted Isabelle into his arms and strode away, calling out greetings over his shoulders. Others imitated him, taking their women and striding off.
Angel carried Nadia, she was already asleep and he didn't want to wake her, feeling a little guilty for not giving her enough time to rest.
Up in their room, he gently placed her on the bed and took off her clothing. He did the same and got in with her, cradling Nadia in his arms, he fell asleep.
