“Now you try to open your hand again,” Gabriella instructs as she holds her hand close.
“Zurier?” Gabriella notices that he is deep in thought and not hearing her.
“Zurier?” she tries again.
“Hm?” Zurier enjoyed her soft skin so much that he completely forgot to concentrate.
“Where is your head at?”
“Sorry, I will focus,” he says smiling at her. Gabriella felt like she could melt right there with his beautiful gaze on her.
With a smile on her face, Gabriella continued the therapy session. While they were busy Gabriella made small talk, “so do you have any memory either than your name?”
“Nope,” Zurier gave a short answer hoping that, that will be the end of it.
“Have you watch tv? I always see it off,” Gabriella questions as she brainstorms silently thinking about things that might trigger his memory.
“I am not much for tv but yes, I have been watching tv. I cannot wait to be able to go to the beach!” Zurier says, pretending that he saw it on tv, but he has always wanted to know how it would feel to swim in the ocean. He wondered if swimming feels like flying.
“That could be arranged. I will see if I can get a team together by Friday. I think the beach will do you good. Who knows, maybe it is something you loved before your accident,” Gabriella states while focusing on moving Zurier’s limbs, one by one, one after the other.
“I am doing all the work here,” Gabriella laughs when she noticed Zurier is not focusing.
Zurier didn’t hear her. Zurier is so distracted by her moving lips that he inadvertently reaches out with an arm and hand that is not supposed to be working to touch her bottom lip.
Gabriella is so shocked that she could not believe that her theory is right about his nervous system being asleep. Gabriella did not stop Zurier and while he is exploring her lips, she felt his other hand making its way up her arm and to her face. Gabriella explored Zurier's eyes that are on her lips. Zurier realizes that he is touching her and moving his arms and hands without effort.
Zurier froze with his fingers still on Gabriella’s lips, “I am so sorry, I don’t know what came over me.”
Gabriella puts her hands on his and lifts his fingers away from her lips, “it is fine.”
Even though Gabriella removed his fingers from her lips she wanted to let him be, to let him explore her, she had never felt anything like it. Gabriella in her own thoughts only gets drawn back to reality when she realizes that Zurier is now exploring her hands with his hands and eyes.
Zurier rubs Gabriella’s hands to his cheek and then to his lips. Gabriella knows she should pull away but can not bring herself to do it. Gabriella cannot explain this feeling that she is experiencing when she touch Zurier.
“I see you have made progress. Are you sure you two don’t know each other?” Doctor Sandra interrupts them making Gabriella jump a bit.
“That will be it for today, we will see if you retain your movement in your arms tomorrow,” Gabriella says a little bit embarrassed that Dr. Sandra caught her being inappropriate.
“Not so fast Gabriella, let see if his legs are responsive,” Dr. Sandra stopped Gabriella in her tracks.
“His x-rays showed severe damage on his spine and I…”
“Let us just see,” Dr. Sandra interrupts Gabriella and takes the back of her pen, and stabs Zurier’s one foot.
“Ow!” Zurier yells out but is not able to move his leg up to get his foot away from the stabbing.
“Ok, so Gabriella adjusts your program and focuses on walking as it is clear he has use of his arms and hands,” Dr. Sandra says as she dots down some notes in Zuriers file.
“Have a good evening Zurier, Doctor,” Gabriella greets them and leaves.
“Gabriella mentioned that I can be moved to a room with another patient?” Zurier questions.
“That is correct,” Dr. Sandra says as she makes a call.
“Patient Zurier is ready to be moved to a double room,” Dr. Sandra says over the phone.
“Ok, so you will be moved in just a bit and I will see you tomorrow morning.”
“Thank you, doctor.”
Gabriella is already outside the hospital waiting for her Uber when Anthon came out, “hello beautiful,” he greets her wrapping his arms around her from behind.
Gabriella manages to wiggle herself out of his embrace, “hello Anthon.”
“What is wrong with you?” Anthon picked up on her annoyance with him.
“Nothing, it is just, well,” Gabriella notices Alex walking up to the hospital.
“You are carrying on as if we are a couple, but we never established anything between us,” Gabriella says.
“Well then, be my girlfriend,” Anthon asks out bluntly.
Gabriella wanted to say no and wants to make it clear that she is not interested in a romantic relationship with him but outcomes Amber and flings herself into Alex’s arms. Gabriella wondered if they are in-ears range and didn’t want to give Alex the impression that she is hung upon him.
“Sure,” she responds. Before she knew it Anthon had her in an embrace.
Alex didn't want to encourage Amber's behavior but seeing just how easily Gabriella moves on without even having any care that she made a fool of him he decided to embrace Amber as well just to stick it to Gabriella.
The Angels standing around did not like the fact that Gabriella does not realize that Anthon is one of the men that raped her and Angel Domiel; Alex’s Angel felt such sadness for Alex, Angel Domiel liked Gabriella and could just not understand why she is not with Alex, “what is up with her? Why is Gabriella with that looser instead of Alex?”
“Misunderstanding. Anthon deliberately put a wedge between them, and he is really good at manipulating the situation,” Gabriella’s Angel, Angel Baraqiel that replaced Zurier, said, just as disappointed as Angel Domiel.
“Good thing we can’t touch this world, or this dude would have been removed from it by now,” Anthon’s Angel says. Angel Xavier was glad the day that Anthon got rescued and taken away from his abusive father that beat his mother to death but never in a million years did he think that he will end up being just like his father, an abusive rapist with an evil that cannot be changed no matter the parents.
