THIRTY

Everyone turned and it was Annabelle looking so unhappy and at the same time happy to see Laura who she had created an hatred for all this time and still hasn't get rid off.

"Mom" Vincent called, in surprise because he thought she won't step her foot in the palace after all that conspired between them.

"Why is she here?" Annabelle face dropped seeing Laura close to Vincent.

"Stop it, mom" Vincent warned, as he pulled Laura behind him and stood to his ground ready to confront his mother again for his love.

"Don't say I didn't warn you" Annabelle rolled her eye and walked majestically into the palace and everyone followed except from Laura and Vincent.

"What have I done to your mother exactly?" Laura questioned, but Vincent held her hands in his.

"Nothing, my love. She is just yet to get used to the fact you ain't going anywhere okay?" Vincent assured, but as much as Laura wants her mind to be her peace. She doesn't want to hurt Vincent mother with her powers either and that's why she avoided her threats.

"Let go inside, and join the rest. Anabelle doesn't come here except something urgent is up again" Vincent held her hands as they both walked into the Palace and of course Anabelle was seated gracefully like a queen she is.

"Mom, why are you here?" Vincent asked, as he helped Laura seat on a chair before he sat beside her.

"The full moon war is getting closer and everyone is already forming an alliance with different packs to protect their people but unfortunately our cold hearted Alpha that was supposed to lead us into victory is no stucked with a weakness that would ruin him so therefore I'm going to be in charge.."

"Stop it right there, Mom" Vincent shut her up and stood up.

"I know what y'all think of me but I'm not going to allow anyone take my part as an alpha. I need y'all to trust me, I can lead you to victory. Like I've said we don't have to be cruel like other packs we just have to protect ourselves. Each family had donated their sons and training had begun so I don't know where you are getting these ideas from" Vincent protested, Adam nodded in support.

"Really, because I don't think you know what you are saying. Alpha Maeve came here for alliance and you sent him away like a piece of trash just because he is connected to Laura. You are ruling us to doom!" Annabelle fired back.

"I think she is right" Jessica interrupted.

"Shut up!" Brenda and Adam chorused at the same time and she swayed her hair before seating back.

"Everyone have the right to speak in a situation like this. We need to come up with a plan fast to protect our packs!" Annabelle added, and Jessica stuck her tongue out for Brenda but she ignored her and played maturity.

"That is what you should have said, not taking my right" Vincent scoffed, as he stood up.

"Whatever" Annabelle rolled her eye.

"We all know that silver pack has coronated a new Beta into their packs without a clear evidence of where the old beta is, ain't y'all curious?" Annabelle asked, everyone exchanged glance and ended up with a shrugged in unison.

"Seriously?"

"Why should we be continued by a cruel packs like that?. The ruler there are evil and have nothing to offer so what do you expect?" Adam added.

"Lorenzo had been killed and was took to the forest by some dangerous men" Laura voiced out, everyone direction went to her immediately.

"And how do you know, woman?" Annabelle asked.

"Because I saw it just now" Laura replied, everyone in the house were surprised including Vincent because he doesn't understand what she is talking about.

"I think it's time for me to talk, Vincent please" She held out her hands and he helped her up because she was feeling weak all of a sudden.

"Why do you want this crazy woman to talk?" Jessica let out.

"Pot calling kettle black" Brenda grinned, and she looked so furious.

"I had left the kingdom to know the source of everything all. I see Vision of the damages that wants to happen few minutes before it occurs leaving me with no time to amend it. Brenda,you are Maeve would make a perfect couple and your reign in the Blood moon pack would bring you a higher rank position amidst the Werewolves pack in general." She addressed, everyone though she was crazy for a while until she opened her mouth again.

"I have a twin sister, I'm not going to be at the full moon ear fighting but she will and will lead us to victory except from the fact I don't see Vincent in it. I've tried my possible best but it's blur, I don't know how future together" She held his hands, almost tearing up.

Everyone watched the couples get together and Vincent pulled her into a tight hug.

"Everything would be fine" He whispered into her ear for the umpteenth time.

"You have a twin sister?" Annabelle asked, because it seemed it's the only words she grabbed.

"Her name is Del, she was cursed too and was sent to hell but she comes visiting when she had the chance" Laura replied.

"I knew this lady is complicated and will only put us all in trouble!" Jessica muttered, everyone was silent and don't even know what to say anymore.

Annabelle went muted after Laura's vision, even though she hated her. Anabelle is curious to know what happened to Lorenzo, her ex-lover. Now she understands why everyone wants her to remain in their packs because she is the answer to the security position of the entire town during the full moon war but there is nothing she can do because of the curse placed on her.

"I'm feeling weak, Vincent. Can you take me inside?" Laura begged Vincent.

"Sure" Vincent carried her up in a bridal style and left their midst.

"Is she really cursed?" Brenda asked.

"Is Vision real?" Adam asked.

"What?. Are you been brainwashed?. She just spilled out nonsense and you believed her?" Jessica intruded.

"No more words from you all!" Annabelle fired, and shut them all up.

The moment was tensed up as Vincent walked back in.

"How is she?" Annabelle asked, with a look of concerned.

"You look so weak all of a sudden but she is asleep now. I've sent for the doctor to come check up on her" Vincent replied.

"What a burden" Jessica muttered.

"So, what are we going to do?" Adam asked.

"Firstly, We have to keep our eye on Laura and make sure she doesn't leave our sight for a minute" Annabelle replied, everyone looked shocked.

"You are concerned about her now?" Brenda asked.

"Nobody should interrupt me while I talk" Annabelle replied, and they all shut up but unfortunately not Vincent.

"You ain't doing any shit to my wife. Okay!" Vincent defended.

"I'm sorry son but we need to get the curse erased and I know the right place to go" She turned to Adam.

"Victoria doesn't even want to see me!" Adam said, and shrugged.

"Brenda, you are going to visit Victoria tomorrow and tell her the queen mother demands for her presence tomorrow at the palace" Annabelle stated.

"But why me?. I don't want to be the one to apologise" Brenda stomped her feet on the ground and winced like a toddler.

"I've said my words!" Annabelle replied, and walked out of the palace with Vincent following closely.

"I'm still curious on why you've changed your mind about Laura to be honest" Vincent said, trying to engulfed her into a conversation.

"Until she did a crazy thing just to protect you" Ann replied and Vincent arched his brows at her.

"Are you sure?" He asked.

"I didn't tell Gary I would be leaving so let talk about anything else later" Anna walked away and her maids followed behind her while Vincent just stood there and watched her leave.

He returned back to the house and met Laura still asleep. He sat beside her and held her hands which were cold and her eye were shut slightly , her lips parted a bit.

"You are a strong one, Laura" He whispered, and leaned down to kiss her forehead gently.

"Vincent" She called, with her eye still closed.

"Just rest well, baby" He said, and caressed her hands gently trying to warm it up.

"There is something I didn't want anyone else to know and I couldn't say it in the front of everyone so I won't scare them" She said, softly.

"Laura, you need to rest well. Please" Vincent begged, because the more she talked the more she got weak.

"Jessica won't survive a month anymore. Her time had been limited after her mate died few days back, she doesn't know about this or she knows and just kept it a secret. I want you to show her all the love she deserve within that period" She stated, Vincent face drained as Laura continued.

"I'm strong, I must be weak for a reason right? I'm not going to die so soon" She added, her teeth gritted against each other and Vincent panicked but just then the doctor knocked.

"Thank goodness you are here" Vincent opened the door for him and he quickly ran a check up on Laura.

"How long had she been like this?" He asked.

"Just few minutes ago, she was perfectly fine and all of sudden like this. Please, tell me what's wrong with her" Vincent asked.

"I need to confirm something before I can come to a conclusion" He opened the black bag he had brought in and brother a tiny little pen out of it.

"What's that?" Vincent asked.

"Master, you have to wait outside now" He replied.

"No!" Vincent protested.

"Please, I need to do my job?" He begged and he finally agreed and walked out of the room.

He paced to and fro outside the room until the door squeaked open and the doctor came out smiling.

"How is she?" Vincent asked, as she rushed back inside and met Laura still asleep.

"What did you do to her!" He asked, angrily.

"Your wife is pregnant and she is just two days old. Her powers are the reasons for her weakness and I've given her a pain relief medicine to help her sleep better by the time she gets up, she would as strong as ever" The doctor said, veraciously.

Vincent eye sparkled, with the skin a little bit wrinkled round and under them, with the mouth drawn back at the corner bringing tears to the eye.

"You mean, Laura is pregnant for me?" Vincent said, with pupils dilated.

"Congratulation, Alpha Vincent" the doctor said, and packed his bag then left.

"Omg!! I'm going to be a father in two months time?" Vincent rushed to Laura and even though she was asleep he kissed her on the cheek softly.

"Baby, you are carrying our first child already" Vincent said, breathing quickened.

He can't wait to announced it to everyone so he quickly mind linked his mom and told her the great news.

Vincent sat beside her and watched her with so much affection in his eye. Adam knocked interrupted and he motion him to come in.

"How is she?" Adam asked,

"Fine" He replied, smiling so hard.

"I met the doctor outside but he wouldn't tell me anything and insist I come here myself" Adam replied, looking at Laura sleep who now looked better than before.

"I told him not to tell anyone because I'm going to be a father soon" Vincent replied, and cheeks flushed.

Adam jaws dropped and he looked more excited than Vincent.

"She is carrying your child?" Adam whispered, because he doesn't wants to wake sleeping Laura up.

"Yes man!" Vincent replied, his Joy knew no bound as he was overwhelmed with everything.

This is such a great news!
