TWENTY NINE

THE WEDDING CEREMONY

Laura waited all night for Alpha Jacob to show up but he didn't even come close to the room at all. She had taken down the guards put in charge to watch her and finally free but she wasn't leaving until Jacob get his own taste of bitterness after what he did to her last night.

Axel and Cora slept all through the day and the next mornings. When she woke up, it was early in the morning. The sun was dull rather than being bright. It was drop dead silence.

It was nice and everything until she looked at the devil, Axel sleeping like a baby beside her. His eyes closed as he snored, softly.

Fear gripped from all sides as she remembered all he had told her last night and today was their fucking wedding ceremony and they already fucked last night. It wasn't rights even though she enjoyed every part of it.

She rose a bit and use her elbow as a support, staring at his features and his face. Who could have thought he is the real devil all this years, how can a man be so desperate for a particular goal all this years?.

"Good morning" His deep voice echoed, and she looked away instantly.

"You are awake?" She faked a cough, as she turned and lay quietly.

"Yeah, your wetness woke me up" He said, and placed his hand on her bared breast underneath the cover.

"It's our wedding, we need to dress up already because I'm sure people will be in here sooner or later and I don't want us to be seen like this" Cora said.

"Oh! that's true, but I still want you" He moved closer to her, with his eye still closed.

"Axel! we still have the night" She tried been persuasive but he wasn't buying it.

"I have waited all my years for this and..." A loud bang on the door interrupted him, His eye flew open and she sat up immediately. She ran out of the bed and quickly grabbed my clothes and start to wear them back while Axel just stared at her.

"What are you doing?, get the door" She whispered and packed her hair up because it was so messy from last night sex.

"Sure" He lipped up, and Cora drooled immediate he pushed the cover away revealing his hardness and he wasn't ashame at all.

"Someone's want something" He teased, as he grabbed his boxer and Cora looked away shyly but the knock interrupted again.

"I'm coming" Axel shouted, and grabbed his shirt before he walked to the door and flung it open while Cora acted normal inside.

"We request for queen Cora to get her ready" It was the chief maid.

"Oh, Hold on" Axel shut the door and walked back to Cora.

"You are needed" He said, and hopped on the bed.

"Okay" She walked out to join the maids outside the door and Axel didn't even make any attempt to escort her or anything and she felt disappointed.

Her face dropped when she realised the person Axel was talking to his Venna.

"Good morning, my queen" She bowed her head politely but she stared at her disgustedly.

"This way ma'am" Venna just ignored her approach and lead her to the special dressing room.

The whole palace where filled with different visitors and everyone looked so busy except from her.

She wished to meet her father but that can only be done after the ceremony because she doesn't want him to ruin her happy day.

Venna was in charge of her dress and she wasn't go comfortable with her around. The hair stylist arrived in no minutes to start her job. Jacob had been so busy attending to the highest ranked members of pack that had been invited to the coronation of a new Beta and their wedding ceremony.

"You know, I knew you would be a good Alpha" an elderly said, and they all laughed including Jacob.

"All thanks to you all" He owed them the praises back and they were overjoyed.

The whole event was going well, everyone's was so busy and Axel was getting dressed. Most of his friends were already with him and praising him for achievement already.

Like, who could have thought an ordinary warriors in the palace could be the next Beta of the pack, not even someone like Axel who was bossed around by the Alpha and Beta in the past. Even though, Axel was aware of the fact he was the one using Lorenzo and not the other way around he still take the praises and finally everyone was seated and the main event begun.

Axel was dressed up in his fine tuxedo suit and Cora was dressed up in a beautiful white wedding dress and her hair stylist did a perfect job her make up matches up with her beauty and Axel was stunned to see her when she was brought in by the maid, Venna.

"As you all know, today is a great day we have all been waiting for and I'm so excited to let you know that our day of sorrows, dry seasons and unnecessary threat had come to an end because we are crowning a new Beta into the pack. A warriors, a man everyone had looked up to, a warriors that had won several battle. Axel, can you come forward please" Jacob addressed, there was a loud murmuring amidst the crowd as Axel walked to kneel in front of Alpha Jacob.

What happened to Beta Lorenzo?

I thought it was just a wedding?.

Why is an ordinary warriors crowned a beta?.

This is totally unfair!

Why are your business?. Even his daughter isn't complaining and she looks happy.

Is Lorenzo giving his title to his daughter husband?.

If he is, then why isn't he here to celebrate her?.

"My Master" Axel bowed, right in front of him.

"So therefore, In front of all my elders, the high rank people of the pack and members. I crown you as the new Beta of the Silver pack, main your reign never be cursed" Jacob blessed him and after the whole ritual.

Alpha Jacob helped him up and lifted his hands up in air.

"Let the engagement begin" He said, and everyone's cheered up.

Axel and Cora were bonded together and there were alot of dancing and people looked so excited even though not all. Some looked so curious to know what happened to Lorenzo while some who hated the fact an ordinary warriors got the title left angrily.

It was totally unfair. Jacob was just shaking softly to the sound of the music before his guards whispered some words into his ear and his eye widened. He left the gathering angrily and stomped off to the room Laura was kept.

"I told you to handle a single woman and she overthrown you all?" Jacob yelled angrily, as they walked through the hallway straight to Laura room.

"Where is she?" He stomped into the room angrily, but she was gone. No one was there but just the dead corpse of the three guards in the room with him.

"Find her! She must not escape!" Jacob growled, as he raged outside angrily. Laura had wished she could stay a little longer but she changed her mind and ran as fast as she could straight to the Blood pack.

She changed into her full wolf so she can run faster, she mind linked Vincent to meet her up with a new clothes. Vincent rushed out of the school where he was helping the kids, he had gone there to talk things out with Victoria but she wasn't there.

He rushed back home and grabbed a clothes straight to the forest but was stopped by Jessica who was already waiting for him at the door.

"Jessica, not now!" He said, anxious to leave but Jessica doesn't even mind.

"Where are you going to?, we still haven't talked about your child that is in me" Jessica replied, proudly.

"I thought we've already discussed this?" Vincent arched his brows at her.

"Really?" Jessica asked, and Vincent knew she was only trying to delay him and also know about wherever he is going.

"Where I'm going is totally none of your business" He said, and pushed her away slightly so he could passed by.

Jessica was mad at him and she stomped angrily to meet Adam who was in his room office discussing with his sister, Brenda. Jessica wasn't too happy when he met Brenda and Adam talked things out but she played cool.

"Can I come in?" She asked.

"No!" Brenda replied, immediately his eye landed on Jessica.

"Sorry, but I wasn't talking to you" Jessica rolled her eye.

"Whatever we have to say, can we do that later because right now my sister needs me. Okay?" Adam added, Jessica jaws dropped to the floor like Adam had just dropped a bombshell on her.

Why is everyone keeping her out of their space and acted like she doesn't even exist anymore. She is carrying the Alpha heir for fucking sake.

"Adam, It's urgent!" She said, with her furrowed eyebrows still on Brenda who hissed at her.

"Let talk later" Adam said to Brenda.

"Brother!" She yelled, but he just get a positive nods and she stopped angrily and walked away but stopped right beside Jessica.

"I will advise you to lay low because I won't mind ruining you till you go back to wherever you came from!" Brenda whispered.

"Save your words, imagine someone that would be married off to another pack telling me what do you" Jessica hissed.

"I'm not leaving until you out just so you know" Brenda scoffed and walked away. It was a tensed moment between them that Jessica had to do a little breathing exercises before she walked closer to Adam.

Laura had successfully escaped and was waiting eagerly for Vincent to show up because she was naked and doesn't want anyone to find her that way.

"I'm sorry for been late" He spurred in on her.

"What took you so long" She frowned.

"Sorry" He apologised sincerely

"Just give me the cloth already" She rolled her eye, he threw the clothes at her and watched her dress faster.

"You ain't going to leave out a word because I'm curious to know all that happened at that pack and hope that bastard didn't touch you" He moved closer to her.

"He did but I wasn't chanced to put him in place" Laura replied.

"What!"

"Nothing serious, I'm just glad to be back but I need to save Tracy. She had been put into prison because of me" She said, almost crying.

"It's going to be fine. Okay?" Vincent cupped her face in his palm.

"Axel had been crowned the new Beta and Cora isn't saying a word, they got married today and before I left I saw some hefty men going to the prison. Something must have happened to Lorenzo and Tracy right?" She blabbered, and Vincent had to slammed his lips on her to stop her.

"Everything will be fine, I promise" He rubbed her ear gently to soothe her and she nodded positively.

"Come, let go home" He pulled her hands and they walked out of the forest together checking if no one was watching them all this while.

Everyone was shocked as Laura walked hands locked with Alpha Vincent into the palace. Jessica was more shocked than any other individual in the palace while Brenda walked to hug her to Laura astonishment.

"I hate you but I'm glad you didn't die in my absent" Brenda whispered into her ears and she chuckled.

"Where the heck have you been, you got all of us worried" Adam said.

"Speak for yourself" Jessica rolled her eye, but Adam ignored her sarcastic behavior and walked to Laura for a warmly hug hug Vincent stopped him before he could.

"Don't even think about it, she is mine" Vincent said, and Laura blushed softly while Brenda burst into laughter but Jessica stomped off angrily until a familiar voice was heard.

"What did I miss?"
