TWELVE

SILVER PACK.

"What do you mean, you can't find her!" Alpha Jacobs, yells angrily at all the powerful guards he had sent out to find Laura and bring her back to the palace.

"We've tried how possible best but I don't think she is Ali..."

"Shut up!" he yelled, shunning the guards who is about to declare Laura dead.

"You just find her, bring her to me and I will finally make her my Luna or y'all will have yourself to blame" he walks away and stride straight to his Chamberlain where Axel and Cora await him concerning the wedding function they had invited Alpha Vincent, of the blood pack to celebrate with them.

"I'm sorry, I kept you guys waiting but they all just seems useless. Imagine, they haven't found Laura yet!" He said, frustratingly expecting something good from the almost wedded couples but the both looked shocked.

"You are going to find Laura?" Axel asks, with mixed feelings.

"Yes"he replies.

"But why?" Cora chirped in.

'What are you talking about. She wasn't kicked out of the pack and bringing her back with be one of my biggest achievement. I'm crowning her my queen and I don't why we should be discussing things like this because I don't have all day to speak to you two" Jacob stated.

Axel and Cora seems to be surprised to hear the alpha plans that could ruin them. Even though Axel was forced into marriage will he ever be able to explain to Laura if she ever comes back, what will she think of him.

"Is that really necessary?" Cora adds,

"Are we going to talk about why we are here today or we will keep talking about Laura?" Jacob asks.

"Uhmm, we've gotten the list of requirements and we added a few new things to it since Alpha Vincent, of the blood pack will be attending our wedding" Axel interrupt, trying not to make it so obvious about their relationships with Laura.

"I still can't believe he honoured our invitation, Isn't that exciting?" Cora asks, happily.

"Yeah, we need to get him on our side against the next full moon so we can act faster than the rest. That's why I want you two to be careful with things, any mistake from you both will be trouble for the pack and I will gladly get your hands cuts" Jacobs threatens, Cora doesn't really look happy about it but just nod her head

After the meeting she head straight to her father, Lorenzo who was busy working on some few paperwork in his room in preparation of his daughter, Cora birthday.

"And here comes the bride" Lorenzo welcome her warmly but Cora didn't return the same vibes to him which made him look concerned immediately.

"What is wrong my bride to be" He asks, her striding towards her side.

"What other reason? I don't like the new Alpha, he even threatened Axel and over our wedding. He is ruining everything for us and making us feel stupid, I'm ain't a bait to get Alpha Vincent for crying out loud" She complained to her father.

"Cora, my beautiful daughter" Lorenzo touch her arms and help her sit on the bed first then he sit beside her and held her hand in his.

"You shouldn't be concerned about Jacob, you know he only does things I order him to do and hurting my daughter is the last he will think of before digging his grave." Lorenzo replied confidently.

"Then why his he creating a rescue team to get Laura back to the silver pack to be his Luna?" Cora asks, frustratingly.

"I'm afraid, this is a news to me. he dare not go against my rule because that daughter of a stupid man won't step her leg in my land anymore. I choose to remain the beta for a reason" Lorenzo boasts.

"I'm serious father, he will ruin everything for us if Laura returns and I don't want that stupid girl messing around Axel anymore" Cora cried.

"its okay my child, she won't be coming back because I will have her killed before she would even think of returning" Lorenzo replied.

"what are you talking about father" Cora asks, looking at her father having that evil smile crept on his face again.

"Cora, I did it all for you and I shouldn't keep things from you so we can together rule this kingdom" Lorenzo adds.

"I still don't understand you father" Cora replied

"I killed her father and I have no single regret because I will be doing the same to her. No one cross my land and go Scott free, I will send my guards to find her tomorrow and anywhere she is find her, she dies there" Lorenzo, the Beta replies.

"You killed the former Alpha?" Cora gasped.

"After watching you live in Laura shadow for years I can't help but to over look it but that her stupid father went far by making an offer for you to be her personal maid. I was the one that appointed her father just like I did to Jacob and anytime they tries to disobey me or thinks they can do it alone. I ruin them with my own hands" He boasts, massaging his beards.

"Father!" Cora called.

"So, I want you to put your mind at rest because you have me here always" Lorenzo concluded.

"Thanks father" Cora smiled, feeling so excited to know her father can do anything he wants and since her father has so much power then definitely no one can mess with her either not even Jacob, the Alpha of the silver pack.

"I will need you to excuse me now so I can continue with my own tactics on getting Vincent attention on your wedding too" Lorenzo said,

"Alright, Father" Cora replies, and got on her feet.

"I will check up on you latera" She said, and walk out of her father's room with so much joy in her heart.

She feels so lucky to have a man like him in her. Ever since Laura left she is now the queen they all worship her like they do to her which makes her more glad.

She was so excited and didn't see the maid with the food tray coming her way and unfortunately knock it down which spilled on her cloth too.

"I'm sorry, Cora" The maid went on her kneels immediately packing the spilled plates back to the tray.

"Did you just address me by my name" She yelled angrily an kicked the squatting maid making her fall to the ground completely.

"I'm sorry, my queen" the maid corrected herself but it was too late as Cora yelled for the palace guards.

"Guards!" Cora called.

"Yes ma'am," two hefty men rushed to the scene.

"Lock her up and get another maid to clean up this mess" Cora ordered, and walk away leaving the scene.

"I'm sorry, my queen" The maid begged but Cora turn deaf ear to her and just walk away majestically to get herself cleaned up and change to one of Laura's expensive dress.

She moved into Laura room the next day she left and even own all her possession to her personal self. Cora can be extremely selfish and cares only about herself but all she cares about is being the center of everyone's attention.

She had just finish cleaning up ready to go meet Axel when some set of women walks into her room.

"My queen" They all bowed to her, to Cora pleasure.

"how can I help you?" She asks.

"We are here to get your own description of how you want your wedding gown to be. Alpha Jacobs sent us here" One of them speaks for the rest.

"Oh! But shouldn't I be doing this with Axel?" She asks.

"Alpha Jacobs had ordered us here and he is busy with your fiance for now" Another one speaks again.

"I see" She glare at them suspiciously but at the end of it all offered them a seat and settled to pick a dress for herself hoping this people that has been chosen won't ruin her dream wedding dress.

While Cora is busy picking a dress for herself. Alpha Jacob has sent for Axel in his personal chamber where he works for the pack.

"You sent for me, my king" He bowed.

"Yes" He glares at him, looking at him with so much rage but later regain his consciousness.

"I heard you are one of the best warriors in the pack" He said.

"Thanks for the compliment, my king" Axel bows, in respect.

"And I'm also aware of the fact you had something with the previous Alpha female, Laura" He adds, Axel eye widened at the point.

"You don't have to be afraid or anything. I sense you are the one she speaks of the day we met before the coronation which simply means she loves you but why did you betray her and go for that selfish family" he asks.

"I'm sorry, my king but I dare not speak about it" He replies.

"find her!." Jacob ordered.

"Laura?" Axel asks.

"Find her and bring her back to the palace and I will help you get away from that family you got yourself involved with" he offered to Axel.

"What are you talking about?" Axel asks.

Alpha Jacob observe him well and sit up well comfortably.

"i hate pretense" He stated.

"But, I'm completely in dark" Axel replies.

"Find Laura, first and we will do a better talking." Jacob replies.

Axel who seems to be controlling his anger for some times finally going to losen it out.

"You want what is mine to yourself?" Axel asks, completely pissed off by Jacob already.

"Something like that" Jacob replies confidently.

"I'm sorry but that isn't going to work. I had always loved Laura and i haven't stopped either, I don't know why she didn't listen to me and left after my pleas but finding her won't be such a problem but I won't. I want her to be happy and the only way to do that is to stay away from her and let her be" Axel stated, to Jacob surprise.

"You are disobeying my orders?" Jacobs asks.

"no, my king but I can't do it. I will be glad if the wedding is a success and no one tries to ruin it" Axel adds.

"You can leave" Jacobs yells angrily, Axel arose and rush out of his chamber only to bump into Lorenzo outside.

He was forced to comport himself even with the suspicious glares Lorenzo was busy giving him.

"What were you doing with Alpha Jacob? Is Cora in there?"he asks.

"I'm here on security base issue, my in-law"Axel fake smile, trying not to be interrogated by the evil man.

"Oh! that's good. I will see you later then"he walks away, and Axel finally let out his breathe he had been keeping in all this time. Even though, Lorenzo doesn't want to overthink but he is still curious of what Jacob and Axel must have discussed to have made the King mad as he could hear him raise his voice from afar and Axel looks like he had just been caught stealing.

It took Jessica, three days to get to the passage that leads to the Blood pack palace which is always security tight and the only thing on her mind is how she would get her way through without been suspected.

"She has disguised as a wine delivery woman who always come once in a while to give the king his tasting even when she was still with Vincent.

If her plan doesn't work then she will be forced to sleep in the cell.

"Wine delivery"She use the hat to cover her eye and a scarf to replace a mask.

The guard observe her well and nod to his Mate who immediately open the door for her.

She smiled satisfactorily as she push the fake wine she had brought with him.

"Stop there, woman!" a guard yelled, her body froze immediately she heard this angry guard voice.

Has she been caught?.
