Chapter 94: Chapter 94
Amy walked into Liam's office, a pleasant smile on her face. Her happiness radiated from within and was evident all over her. The staffs whisperings didn't even bother her one bit. The day was just beginning, but she couldn't wait for it to be over so she could be with Cole and Tris.
"Good morning, sir," she said jovially.
"Morning, Amy," Liam responded, taking a sip from his coffee.
Amy pleased some files on his desk. "The manager wants you to go through this," she said.
"Okay," he replied, placing his coffee down.
"Also, Cole asked me to inform you that he has gone over the contract," she said.
"Oh, that's great news," Liam replied, his eyes litting up. "Has he signed?"
"You'll have to meet him at his office to go over the signing,"
"Okay," Liam said as he picked the files and began to go through them. "What's my schedule like this afternoon?" He asked.
"You have a meeting with the board of directors by One Pm," she replied.
"Is that all?" He asked, without looking at her.
She nodded. "Yes, that's all,"
"Alright," he replied and Amy turned around to leave. "Amy?" He called and she turned to look at him.
His eyes met hers and his heart tugged. "Congratulations on your engagement," he said and smiled.
Amy gave him a small smile. "Thank you," she replied and with that, she walked out of his office.
Liam swallowed hard as he leaned back in his seat. He could no longer concentrate on the files in front of him. He had promised himself that he would be happy for Cole, but yet, he has not been able to congratulate his best friend since two days ago when he proposed to Amy.
He sighed deeply. He had told himself that whatever feelings he had for Amy, he would bury it, but seeing her looking so beautiful and happy this morning, it stirred up the feelings he believed he could conceal.
He groaned as he closed his eyes. It dawned on him that he could never have her. She belonged to Cole. They had a child together and they were mates. There was no way he could beat that. Besides, Cole was a charmer. She would have picked him if she was given the opportunity to choose between them both.
He reached for his phone and began to type a congratulatory message to Cole. Halfway, he stopped, deleted the message and dropped the phone.

Amy got back to her office space. She tucked her hair behind her ear as she sat down. She began to type away on her laptop when her phone chimed, indicating a message. She picked up her phone and she smiled. It was a message from Cole.
"Hey, baby girl," it read.
"Hey, love. How's work going?" She replied.
"Honestly, boring. Just here thinking of you," he texted back immediately.
She chuckled. "Me too," she texted.
"I'm thinking of all the places I could be hanging your legs right now," he texted back.
Heat washed through her as she blushed. "Shouldn't you be thinking about work?" She texted.
"No. Not when I have you to think about. You still owe me a kiss," he texted.
She blushed. When he had drove her to the office this morning, he had requested for a kiss, but she had declined because she had been running late.
"You'll get it," she replied.
"Of course, love and even more," he texted and she gave him a smiley emoji.
"I'll pick you up once you're off the clock. I've got a meeting to attend to now. I love you,"
"I love you too. Have fun," she responded and dropped her phone as a contented smile spread across her face.

Shantel finished her last shoot for the day and as she took her phone from her assistant, she dialled Maya's number. "Where are you?" She demanded. "You should have been here an hour ago!" She was losing it.
"I'll give you only a few minutes, if you're not here, I'll leave without you," she added and with that, she ended the call.
She huffed as she picked up her purse. "Sam, cancel whatever shoot I have for the rest of the day. I need to unwind," she said to her assistant who nodded.
Shantel still couldn't get over seeing Cole propose to Amy in public and in front of the media. She had not expected it. To her, the two of them had succeeded in making her the laughing stock of the internet. Even omegas who could not see her in public and talk, ridiculed her on the internet.
She still had her fans that supported her thoroughly, but that wasn't enough as long as the rest of the world saw her as the villain in Amy and Cole's story.
She walked out of the studio and just then, Maya pulled up in front of her. Shantel walked up to the car. Getting in, she slammed the door hard behind her.
"Woah, take it easy," Anita huffed from the back seat.
"What's she doing here?" Shantel asked as she noticed Anita's presence.
Maya shrugged. "She was with me and I couldn't leave her alone. Besides, we're friends, you know?"
"A friend that defies me at any chance she gets is not a friend of mine," Shantel replied in a pent up anger.
"I'm glad I'm not a puppet like some people. At least I tell you the truth wether you like it or not," Anita scoffed.
"Did you hear that?" Shantel asked in anger as she turned to stare hard at Anita who didn't flinch. "Let me at this bitch," she added.
"Calm down, Shantel," Maya sighed as she turned to Anita. "Can you at least show a bit of empathy? Shantel is going through a lot here,"
Anita snickered. "She should just accept the fact that her relationship with the mighty Cole ended a long time in highschool. He has got a mate, you know? A mate that will become his wife in coming months I believe,"
"Let me at this bitch!" Shantel yelled as she struggled to go to the back seat and attack Anita.
Maya succeeded in refraining her as she yelled. "Can you both stop this?! I'm tired already!"
Shantel puffed in anger as she sat back. "Just drive to the beach, Maya. I need to let out all these tension and anger," she said.
Sighing, Maya turned on the ignition and began to drive away while Anita snickered as she tapped away on her phone.

It was finally closing hours, and Amy happily picked up her bag. She walking towards the direction of the elevator when she noticed that the lights in Liam's office was still on.
She walked towards the office and knocking softly on the door, she opened it and popped her head through the opening. She saw him arranging some files with his sleeves rolled to his elbows. "Liam, are you not going home?" She asked.
He looked up from what he was doing and glanced her way. "I'll be running late today, Amy. I have a few things to finish off before leaving," he replied as she walked into the office.
"It's late. Can't you do them tomorrow?" She asked.
He shook his head. "They must be sorted out before tomorrow. I've delayed them long enough,"
"Alright. I'm on my way home," she replied.
"Alright. Be safe," he said, without looking at her.
"You too," she responded and with that she walked out of his office.
She got out of the company's building and standing by a black car was Cole. His eyes lit up when he saw her walking down the stairs.
Amy practically skidded the stairs as she hurried over to him, her face full of smiles.
"Cole," she said as she ran into his embrace. He held her tightly to himself, smiling pleasant as he inhaled her scent. The scent that has been tormenting him since morning.
"You're here, finally. I've missed you," he said, kissing her neck.
She pulled back, smiling at him. "I've missed you too,"
"Just how much?" He asked, his eyes radiating of love.
"A lot,"
"How about you charge me up, hm? I've been low since without you," he said, turning his cheek and placing a finger on it. "Right here,"
"Cole," she blushed.
"I'm waiting," he replied.
She kissed his cheek and he smirked. "More," he said.
She chuckled as she kissed his cheek repeatedly.
Suddenly, as she was about to kiss his cheek again, he caught her chin and placed his lips on hers as he kissed her.
"Now that's an hundred percent charge," he said with a devilish grin and she chuckled. Their eyes reflecting the happiness they felt.
Liam stood by the window of his office, watching them.
