Chapter 87: Chapter 87
"Has Cole gotten back to us concerning the contract?" Liam asked Amy as he sipped from his cup of coffee.
Amy shook her head. "No, sir. No response yet,"
"What's taking him so long?" Liam wondered out loud. He sighed. "Alright. What's my schedule for today?" He asked.
Amy looked at her notepad. "You have a meeting scheduled for Two o'clock with B&C Group. Also, the representative from Bowen Tech, Mr Tan, booked an appointment with you, which will begin in the next one hour," she responded diligently.
"Mr Tan? Here?" Liam asked, almost sounding like he was frustrated.
Amy nodded, wondering why the appointment was making him uneasy.
"Bloody hell. I thought I cancelled that appointment. That old grumpy wolf," he groaned as he placed his head on his seat.
"If I may ask, why do you seem distraught concerning this appointment?" Amy asked.
Liam sighed as he pushed his seat backwards. "Mr Tan is a distant uncle from my father's side and he has a knack of making me feel inferior, especially when it comes to tech. He sees himself as the game master of tech and would always find fault in my own ways and methods,"
Amy chuckled. "Sounds like he's a whole lot to handle,"
"He's a cranky devil,"
"You can't cancel,"
Liam's eyes sparked open as he drew his seat forward. "Oh, sure I will. Cancel it,"
"But, he's your uncle,"
He shot her a hard glare. "Cancel it, Amy,"
She shrugged. "What am I supposed to tell him?" She asked.
"Come up with anything," he replied as he began to type away on his laptop. "Tell him I've traveled and I won't be back for some days. Anything at all, Amy. As long as I don't get to see that old grumpy wolf,"
She hugged her notepad close to her chest. "Alright," she nodded. "But, you should prepare for the meeting with B&C Group,"
He nodded. "I will,"
She turned around and left his office.

"Aunt Kayla?" Tris called from the dining table after taking a sip from his chocolate milk.
Kayla lifted her head from the couch as she looked in his direction. "Yes, love?"
"Can we go see grandma today?" Tris asked.
"Sure, but why?"
"I kind of miss her, you know," he replied with a small smile.
She smiled back. "Alright, finish up and I shall take you there,"
"Grandpapa said he's coming to pick me up," he added slyly.
She was amused. "Really?" She asked and he nodded. "Now tell me. Are you really going to see grandma or you used her as an excuse to go with your grandfather?"
He chuckled. "No, don't be silly, aunt Kayla. I will never do that. Grandpapa will be the one to take me to grandma's place. He said he wants to get to know her,"
"Get to know her, uh?" Kayla raised a brow and Tris grinned sheepishly. "Alright. But, I'll come with you,"
Tris grinned. "Sure," he replied as he took a bite from his cookie.

A soft knock came on Liam's door. "Come in," he said. Amy walked into the office with a smile.
He lifted his head to see her smiling.
"You have a guest," she said, still smiling, more like a mischievous smile.
"Who?" He raised a brow in suspicion.
"Mr Tannnn..." Amy said in a singing voice as she looked over at the door.
"Oh, you didn't dare, Amy," Liam was literally panicking.
She turned to him. "Oh, I already did, Liam," she replied, mischievously.
"Amy, do you.. "
"William Timothy Hemsworth! My boy!" Mr Tan cut Liam short as he walked into the office. Liam stared at his uncle in sheer horror.
Amy chortled. "Your middle name is Timothy?"
Liam flashed daggered eyes at Amy and she stifled a laugh. He staggered up as he tried to compose himself. "Uncle, it's so nice.. to see you here," he said through a tight-lipped smile.
Mr Tan's smile broadened. "Really? Cause it seems like you've been avoiding me,"
"Avoid you?" Liam laughed nervously. "I can never do that,"
"Come here," Mr Tan grinned as he pulled Liam down and ruffled his hair. "Look at you. All grown up,"
"Yeah, yeah," Liam replied, trying to pull away from his grasp.
Amy fought hard not to laugh as she watched the scenario.
Liam finally succeeded in pulling away from his uncle. He straightened his suit and stared hard at Amy.
"Tell me, how has work been going? You breaking all those codes uh?" Mr Tan asked as he walked over to the couch close to the wall.
"You know, trying my best,"
"That's not what I want to hear. You should be able to infiltrate places no average tech man can. Like the military base website, having access to the presidential codes," he began to say.
Liam's smile was brittle. "I can, but that's illegal and I don't have a reason to infiltrate top websites,"
"Nonsense. A hacker has no bounds. Nothing is limited for us. Take me for example,"
Liam sat down. "I am not just an hacker, uncle. I have a clean sheet. I do not need to infiltrate any base and have the military coming after me for no reason,"
Amy noticed the tensed atmosphere and she coughed slightly. "Mr Tan, will you like some tea or coffee?" She asked.
"Pour me a glass of bourbon instead," he replied.
"Alright," she said as she walked away, not forgetting to notice Liam's look of kill in her direction.

"Grandma!" Tris screamed in excitement as he came down from the car. She was watering her garden and her eyes lit when she saw him.
"Sweetie," she smiled as she let go of the hose and stretched out her arms. Tris embraced her and she held on to him tightly. "How are you?" She asked as they pulled apart.
"I'm fine grandma," he replied.
"Good afternoon, mom," Kayla greeted.
She looked up with a smile. "Kayla, how are you?"
"I'm fine, mom. How are you?"
"The moon goddess be praised. Where's Amy? And these fleet of cars that brought you both in are from?" She questioned, looking at the black cars.
"Amy's at work. Tris grandfather is here," Kayla replied.
She was puzzled. "Tris grandfather?"
Just then, Mr Darrel stepped out of his car as the gamma closed the door behind him.
She was bewildered as she looked at him. "Wayne?" She asked, just to be sure her eyes weren't deceiving her.
Mr Darrel smiled. "Kathy,"
