Chapter 66: Chapter 66

"When next are you coming, dad?" Tris asked Cole the next morning as they walked out of the house.

"Any time you need me, I'll coming running," Cole responded with a smile.

Tris grinned. "What about what I said last night?" He asked.

Cole knew he was talking about them living together. He wanted them all to be together, under the same room, but he needed to sort out a lot of problems first. He needed to tell his father about his mate and child. Shantel wouldn't be a problem as long as his father decides to stay on his side.

He went on a knee before Tris. "Soon, we will. Daddy just has to put everything in order. Is that alright?" He said.

Tris nodded. "Yes, it is,"

"That's my boy," Cole said as he ruffled his hair. Amy stood beside Tris, watching him question his father. She was beginning to wonder what Cole wanted to put in order, especially since their mate bond has become stronger.

Cole rose to his feet. "I'll be on my way now," he said as he placed a kiss on her cheek.

She managed a smile, not wanting to push anything. "Alright,"

"I'll call you," he said and with that, he walked towards his car.

"Bye, daddy," Tris waved at him and Cole waved back.

"Cole," Cole was about to get into his car when Kayla's voice stopped him.

He turned confused eyes in her direction. She was standing at the door. She started walking towards him.

"What are you doing?" Amy asked through a tight smile. She ignored Amy and walked over to Cole.

"May I have a word with you?" She asked.

Cole closed the car door and stared at her. "Sure,"

"What are your plans for Amy and Tris?" She demanded.

Cole could barely utter a word.

"I can see her opening her heart towards you and your son is very happy that his father is in his life. If you know you do not have pure intentions towards them, you better walk out before it's too late,"

"Kayla, I love Amy and Tris. I'll protect them to death," he responded.

She folded her arms across her chest. "And Shantel? Shantel Jackson?" She demanded, staring hard at him.

Cole suddenly felt heat rising inside of him. He swallowed, hoping she didn't notice him. How the hell did she know about Shantel. "There's no Shantel Jackson. You can check the blogs," he replied.

Kayla seemed to have relaxed a little. "If by any chance you hurt my friend and my godson, I'll have you buried alive," Kayla threatened in a serious manner and with that she walked away.

Amy couldn't hear anything they said as she was far from them and Kayla didn't raise her voice while talking. As Kayla walked past her, she asked, "what did you say to him?"

"Nothing," Kayla smiled as she walked into the house, making Amy feel uneasy. Kayla never says nothing with that kind of smile on her face.

"I've responded to your email concerning the contract application from Lexicon. The project is good to go," Cole said to Grey as he walked into the office.

"Great. I'll inform the manager," Grey replied as Cole sat behind his desk.

"Good," Cole said as he opened his apple laptop. "Anything else?" He asked when he noticed Grey still standing before him.

"And the pack?" Grey asked.

"What happened to the pack?" Cole asked, not lifting his eyes from the laptop.

"You still haven't checked on the affairs of the pack. The income, the wages and how thd people are faring,"

Cole's knuckles tightened. "My father is very alive and hearty. As long as he's in the pack house, he'll watch over the affairs of the pack. Besides, I still do that, don't I?"

"That was before, alpha. Now, you do that once in three months,"

"Go straight to the point," Cole replied, tapping away on the keys of his laptop.

Grey sighed. "When do you intend to tell your father about your son?"

"Is that the reason you think that I've not been looking over the pack?" Cole asked, raising a brow.

"Fairly. Since you found him, you haven't spared a moment for the pack," Grey said.

"I avoid the pack house because of my father and not because of my son, the next alpha of the dark moon," Cole replied as he stopped what he was doing and stared at Grey.

"You know your father would flip if he discovers that a blood moon is outside the pack house and has not been acknowledged, especially if that blood moon turns out to be his grandkid, the next alpha," Grey reminded him.

Cole was about to respond when his phone rang. He picked it up from his desk and saw that it was his father calling. Talk of the devil, he thought as he picked the call.

"What more do I have to hear from the news before hearing from you?!" Mr Darrel demanded.

Cole furrowed his brow, annoyed by his father's yelling. "What do you mean?" He asked.

"Do you have a son?" Mr Darrel asked. "And you better be telling me the truth!"

Cole took a deep breath. There was no need hiding it from his father anymore. "Yes,"

"I want you back in the pack house this minute," he replied and with that he ended the call.

"Turns out I don't need to tell him. He already knows," Cole said as he stared at Grey.

Kayla did as Cole had said. She went through the blogs and saw one of Shantel's interview concerning a lover. Shantel admitted not to be seeing anyone currently and that she was single. She asked everyone to debunk news concerning her having an affair with Cole.

Kayla sighed in relief and was about to go off social media when her eyes caught a video that was tagged trending news of the model Shantel Jackson and the billionaire businessman, Cole Darrel.

She opened the video and watched the interview that was associated with pictures of Shantel and Cole. She gasped in shock as her hands flew to her mouth.

"Oh, my frigging moon goddess,"
