Chapter 129: Chapter 129
Amy opened her eyes to find herself tied to a chair. “Cole?” She murmured, as she remembered he was stabbed.
“Amy..” Cole’s voice was hoarse.
She looked beside her and there he was, also tied to a chair, with a bloodstained shirt.
She tried to reach out to him and so did he.
“Aww, isn’t this amazing? Even in death, they are trying to reach for each other,” Shantel said evilly.
“I’m amazed too,” Liam replied.
Amy was shocked by the voices she heard. She looked in their direction. Indeed, they were the one. Liam was sitting cross legged on a couch and Shantel stood in front of them.
“I should have known,” Amy said in a low voice.
“My silence for a year was not for nothing, Amy,” Shantel replied.
“You won’t get away with this Shantel,” Cole said.
“Oh, but I have already,” Shantel chuckled as she walked over to Cole. “Every guard outside your house has been killed by the rogues here,” She twirled the gun in her hand. “I tried everything yet you stood with her. I caused her accident, still you both came together. I guess death is the only one I haven’t tried,”
Cole swallowed, and he looked over at Liam. “I can’t believe you joined hands with her,”
“It didn’t just start today, Cole,” Liam began as he looked in Cole’s direction with a wry smile on his face. “You see, I’ve wanted Amy for long, but you wouldn’t want me have her. So, I teamed up with Shantel. I helped her in getting you framed up in that hotel. I wiped out the cctv footage and made those pictures and videos to look very real,”
Amy gasped. “How could…”
“Oh please, spare me that,” Liam said standing up. “I was always here but you never looked at me. You made me into this villain,”
“You never told me you loved me till I broke off things with Cole,”
“I gave you a sign. I extended a hand that was more than friendship. When I finally had you, you went back to his cheap ass,”
“And I don’t regret it,” Amy replied and he slapped her hard.
“Don’t fucking touch her!” Cole raised his voice weakly.
Amy chuckled. “I’ll choose him over and over again, Liam,”
Liam boiled in anger and took the gun Shantel held and pointed it at him. “Let’s see if you would still choose him,” he cocked the gun.
“Stop! Not yet,” Shantel said as she held his hands. “He has to sign some papers,” she added as she smiled mischievously.

“You were the reckless driver that hit them, isn’t it?” Kayla demanded.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean too,” his voice choked.
“Is that why you married me? To let go of the guilt?”
“No!” He was stunned to hear her say so. “I didn’t know they were parents until…”
“Until when?”
“A year ago. I saw the necklace again and saw that it was a locket. It fell open and that was how I saw your picture in it. The guilt took over me,”
“You killed my parents!” Kayla’s head was spinning. “You made me an orphan for twelve years!”
“Kay..”
She turned around and ran out of the room.
“Kayla!” He called after her.
But she didn’t stop. She just wanted to be out of his sight. She ran as more tears rolled down her cheeks. She has been living with the murderer of her parents for over a year. How could she not have seen it? She sobbed as she finally stopped running and fell to her knees.

Cole was forced to sign the papers. The papers was him handing his company over to Shantel.
“It’s all done. Any regrets?” Shantel asked as she cocked the gun.
“You’re my regret, Shantel. I regret ever meeting you,” he began and she laughed dryly. “But, my biggest regret was not meeting Amy sooner,” he looked over at Amy’s direction and her eyes met his. She smiled sadly. This was the end road for them. “I regret not loving her sooner. I regret not being with her sooner, but one thing I don’t regret is meeting her,”
“If I could go back in time to change my fates, I would let destiny take it course. I’ll choose you over and over again. You’re my fated mate,” Amy said to him.
“Till death do us part,” Cole replied.
“Till death do us part,” Amy repeated.
“ Argh!” Shantel groaned as she pulled the trigger on Amy.
“I love you,” Amy mouthed before closing her eyes.
Cole couldn’t grieve as the trigger was pulled on him too. “I love you too,” he mouthed, as he went into a forever sleep.
Tris closed his mouth in horror as he watched from the window outside the house. They had gotten out of the secret passageway that led outside the house. Tris had heard the gunshot and had ran over to the window only to see the lifeless bodies of his parents.
Nicole motioned over to Tris in panic.
“Find the children,” Shantel said to the men and they nodded and dispersed immediately. With tears in his eyes, Tris ran over to Nicole. “Hurry, they’re coming,” he said as they ran towards the direction of the passageway.
They went back into the passageway and Tris had to muffle his cries. His head kept replaying the incident he had just witnessed.
With tears in her eyes, and fear in her body, Nicole noticed that there was another way the staircase led to. She held Tris hand. “This way,” she said, leading him down the stairs.
The stairs led up to a covered lid. Nicole lifted the lid up, and made Tris climb out. She stretched out baby Alexia to him and he carried her. As soon as Nicole got out, She noticed they were on the other side of the house, away from the estate.
She took Alexia from Tris, and held his hand as she ran over to the road, flagging for any car passing by. Her intent was to return to the pack house with the kids and tell them of the news.
She finally got a taxi. She was skeptical of him, but she had no choice. Taking the children inside the taxi, She joined in, and they heard a loud explosion behind them. Cole’s mansion was just bombed. Tris looked at the back window as the driver drove and watched the fire surge up to the sky. His parents were gone, and they were never coming back.
