Chapter 110: Chapter 110

Ex boyfriend. Amy corrected herself. He looked so different and dangerous. Despite he being the alpha of her pack, she has not seen him.

Last she heard from Kayla was that he got married to a different girl and about two years ago, he was no longer in the pack. Rumors had it that his enemies caught up with him, while his wife simply said he was away in another country.

“Why do you have me here?” She demanded, as all the previous fears she had in her dissipating, and replaced with boldness.

He had a smug look on his face. “Well, darling, don’t you think you owe me?” He asked as he walked closer to him.

She narrowed her eyes. “Owe you? For what?” She inquired.

“Think harder,” he said as he placed his index finger on the side of his head as he stared at her smugly.

She frowned at him. “I owe you nothing. For fuck sake, we broke up over eight years ago. I have nothing to do with you,”

“You do realize it’s an alpha you’re talking to,” he reminded her as he dropped his hand, his condescending behavior about to charge through his body.

She ignored it as she scoffed. “An alpha that left his people all on their own for two fucking years,”

“And it’s all because of you,” he replied through gritted teeth.

“What?” Amy was shocked as she stared at him.

He ran his fingers on her face and she tried to move away. “I’ve been following you around all those years. Just when I was about to have my chance, that motherfucking alpha of the dark moon pack showed up and claimed you as his,” he said angrily.

“Why would you follow me?” Amy was perplexed.

He squatted in front of her. “What you never gave me all those years of dating was why I followed you,” he replied with a devious grin.

“What?” Amy kept getting shocked by his words.

He grabbed her face tightly and Amy gasped as his fingers dug into her skin. “And then I got to know you gave it to him. In fact, you gave it to him that very mating ceremony night and it got me so angry. To the extent you had a bastard son with him,”

Amy spat in his face. “My son is not a bastard,”

He looked away as he took out his handkerchief to wipe his eyes, as soon as he was done, he slapped her hard on the face with the back of his hand.

Amy gasped in pain as she felt blood on her tongue. She had not expected the slap.

Jeremy stood up and turned to the men. “Watch her,” he said as he began to walk away. “I’ll be back tomorrow,” he add, till he disappeared from the warehouse.

Amy began to sob silently.

Cole carried out his words the next morning as he had the sentinels bundle Shantel out of her house. He ordered them to lock her in the cell and torture her to say the truth.

“What?! You can’t be serious, Cole. I have nothing to do with that god damned bitch disappearance!” Shantel yelled as she was being dragged away.

“Tell that to someone who doesn’t know you,” Cole said coldly.

“Please, alpha, she knows nothing,” Mira pleaded on her behalf.

“I might consider you as an accomplice and have you join her,” Cole replied, his cold eyes fixed on her.

“No-no,” Mira trembled as she kept quiet.

“You’ll regret this, Cole Darrel,” Shantel said in anger. Unknown to them, paparazzi were nearby.

“What?! Missing?!” Kayla yelled out and it almost deafened Cole. “How did that happen? I knew I shouldn’t have helped you get her back. Just a day of going back to you, she gets abducted,” Kayla ranted as she paced around.

Cole heaved deeply. He was in her pack house. There was no word he would say that would make Kayla calm down.

“And Tris? Does he know?” She asked.

He shook his head. “I lied to him that she left early for the office. I don’t really think he bought it, but he said nothing,”

Kayla ran her fingers in her hair and then stopped as she narrowed her eyes at him. “It’s Shantel, right?” She asked.

Cole sighed. “I’m beginning to think she isn’t the one. I have her locked up right now and she still insists she knows nothing,”

“How can you believe her? She’s a psychopath,” Kayla groaned.

“I…” Cole was about to speak, but the ringing of his phone interrupted him. He took it out of his pocket. It was Liam. He moved a little bit from Kayla. “Yes, Liam. Anything?” He asked as he picked.

“I think you should see this. Come to the office,” Liam responded.

“Right away,” Cole said as he ended the call.

“What is it?” Kayla asked curiously.

“I have to leave now. I believe Liam has some sort of lead,” he replied.

“I’ll come with you,” Kayla said. She looked determined and Cole knew he couldn’t tell such a wacko as Kayla no.

“Alright,” he responded and together the left the house.

Cole and Kayla walked into Liam’s office. “What did you find?” Cole asked impatiently.

Liam was surprised to see Kayla, but he masked it as he motioned Cole to his laptop.

“This was pulled up this morning. A black van was at the other side of the building and luckily I was able to get down the plate numbers,” Liam said as Cole looked at the screen and so did Kayla. There, another man came out of the car and they both carried Amy into the van, and then drove off.

“Wait, take it back,” Kayla said.

“Okay,” Liam replied as he began to take the video back,”

“Right there, zoom in,” she said and he zoomed in on the man that helped the masked man to carry Amy into the van. He was without a mask. “He looks so familiar. I’ve seen him before, but it’s been long,” she said as she tried to remember.

Just then, Cole’s phone rang. He picked up. “Yes, did you find anything?” He said into the phone, and then his eyes lit. “Okay, send it to me,” he added and then ended the call.

“Who was that?” Liam asked.

“I had the pack warriors comb the woods for the masked man. I gave them a description and one of them drew him. They said about two people had seen him in the woods with another man. They are both rogues,” as Cole explained, his phone beeped and he opened it. “He drew the description of the other man,”

They all looked at it and it looked exactly like the man in the van. Then it hit Kayla. “I remember him now,” she said and they all looked at her.
