Chapter 105: Chapter 105
A hard slap fell across Cole’s cheek. Despite being an adult and an alpha, his father still treated him as his son and does not hesitate to reprimand him harshly for his mistakes.
“How could you do such a thing?” Mr Darrel asked, anger was evident in his tone and disappointment etched in his eyes.
Cole ran his tongue on his cheek to be sure he had no cut as he kept quiet and avoided looking at his father. He wondered who told him, because he couldn’t believe Shantel would just tell his father that she slept with him, allegedly.
“The same woman you cheated with on Shantel, is the same woman you’re cheating on with Shantel. What is wrong with you?!” Mr Darrel demanded.
At the mention of him cheating, he stared dagger eyes at his father. “I did not cheat on Amy, and in fact, Shantel and I were no longer together when I met Amy. You forced me back here to be with her,” he replied.
“So, it’s all my fault uh?”
“It’s my fault. The mistakes I made in the past still keeps haunting me. To the extent nobody believes me that I had nothing to do with Shantel,” Cole replied.
“But you went out with her,”
“I did and I do regret it,” he said.
Mr Darrel sighed as he sat down. “What do I do with you? You are going to be the death of me,” he replied and Cole looked away. “I wonder how Amy’s feeling, seeing you with another woman,” he added.
Cole swallowed. “If nobody believes me, fine. I’ll prove my innocence,” he said, and all Mr Darrel did was stare at him.

Cole drove into the Shadow moon pack house. He stepped out of his car and walked towards the door. The sentinels by the door greeted him. “Welcome, alpha. What brings the alpha of the Dark Moon here?” One of them asked.
“Is the Luna in?” Cole asked.
“Yes,” the sentinel replied as he opened the door. “Do go in. You’ll be attended to,” he replied and Cole nodded as he walked in.
He was greeted by the omegas working in the house.
“Greetings, alpha,” they paused in their tasks as they curtsied.
“Greetings,” he replied.
One of the omegas walked closer. “Alpha, should I send for my master?” She asked, lowering her gaze. No omega from any pack dared to look at the alpha of the Dark Moon pack in the eyes.
“No. Send for the Luna,” he replied.
“Very well,” she nodded and walked away.
The other omegas spared glances at him while he wasn’t looking and conversed about how good looking he was and murmured about the media saga that recently happened.
When he turned their way, they looked away immediately and kept quiet.
Just then, Kyla walked down the stairs.
“What do you want? What are you doing here?” She bombarded him, even before she got closer to him. Then it hit Cole that he was stupid enough to come and see her, knowing fully well that she would be on Amy’s side.
Kyla signaled for the omegas to leave as she got closer to Cole. They left their tasks and immediately walked out of the living room.
As soon as they were gone, she fired at Cole. “Why are you here?”
“I know you’ve heard everything. I just want you to talk to your friend…” he began.
“And why should I do that?” She interrupted him.
He swallowed. “I can’t reach her anywhere. I don’t know where she and Tris is,” he said, his voice filled with hurt.
“That’s left for you to find out,” she replied, and turned away to leave.
“Kayla, please help me. I’m losing it. I can’t live without Amy,” he pleaded, his eyes mirroring his pain.
She turned around. “Shouldn’t you have thought of that before lying to her and going out with Shantel?” She asked him.
Cole knew nothing he said would justify that what he did was wrong and he nodded. “I did, but I went about it in the wrong way. I did go out with Shantel, but I did not have any intimacy with her,” he replied in utmost sincerity and she stared at him. Who would believe that after all the evidence Shantel showed.
Cole sighed and looked away. “I don’t expect you to believe me anyway,”
“I do believe you,” she replied, giving him the shock of his life.
He looked at her and she nodded. Never did he expect that Kayla would be on his side. Not even in his wildest dreams. The one person he didn’t expect to believe him, actually did, and he was stunned beyond measure.
“You do?” He asked, wanting to be sure he wasn’t hallucinating.
She walked away from him. “Yes, I do and it’s very simple. Shantel has been on the verge to break you and Amy since she found out you too have been together,” she turned around to look at him as she ticked off with her fingers. “From the posting on social media, to granting interviews and saying shits about her just to ruin her. I just know, Shantel won’t back off easily. Her type of person will rather see you single than see you with anyone else,” Kayla replied.
She heaved. “Personally, I think you’re no good for Amy. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not because it’s you, but because of your past. You’ll just keep causing her pain because of your obsessive ex, Shantel,”
Cole exhaled deeply as he looked away. No matter how he tries to flee from his past, it always finds a way to catch up with him.
“But, I’m willing to help you and it’s just this once,” she reiterated as she narrowed her eyes at him. “That doesn’t mean I like you,” she added.
He nodded. “Anything to get Amy back,”

“Mommy?” Tris called as he walked into the kitchen.
“Yes, baby?” She replied as she wiped her hands with a napkin. She had just finished doing the dishes.
“I want to see dad,” he said.
Amy froze up immediately. She knew sooner or later he would say this, but she didn’t expect it to be this early.
“Dad is busy now. You’ll see him soon,” she replied.
“When? I know you both are fighting again,” he said, looking away.
She swallowed as she lowered on her knees. “No, no, honey. We are not,” she replied as she gingerly touched his head.
He fell into her arms, tears streaming down his cheeks. “I don’t want my parents fighting. I don’t want us to live separately, mom,” he cried as he held her tight.
Amy’s throat was filled with tears as she held him. “No, no. Please, don’t cry,” she pleaded with him as she fought back the tears trying to surface.
She stroked him as he cried. “Promise me, mom, that you won’t leave dad,” he said amidst his tears as he pulled away from her shoulder as he looked at her.
“Will that stop you from crying?” She asked him, smiling sadly with tears choking her throat.
He nodded. “Yes,”
“Okay,” she replied and hugged him again as a tear slid down her eyes, she quickly wiped it away.

Tris was tucked in bed and Amy sat curled on the couch, as she finally let out the tears that had been suffocating her. Would she have to return to Cole’s house because of Tris? At least to protect his heart while hers continues to get damaged? She pondered. He was her son and has a mother, she had to put his feelings first and above hers. But, how could be in the same house with a man who cheated on her.
What if he didn’t? Her wolf asked her and she immediately locked her wolf out. She didn’t want her talking and conflicting her emotions the more.
Just then, she heard a knock at the door. She quickly wiped her eyes as she sniffed. “Who is it?” She asked, but there was no response.
She walked towards the door wondering who would be at the door by this time of the night. She opened it, only to be confronted by the presence of Cole. As their eyes met, emotions swirled around her.
