Chapter 37: Chapter 37

Legaxy

The kiss.

It was breathtaking, magical… it was heaven.

Michael Angelo's kiss was so marvelous and hot that whenever I recall it, a blush founds its way to my cheeks.

Regardless, what really got me hooked to it was the fact that it brought so many memories of my past, confirming Mikee's tale about me and my life from before.

My name is Nalaese Marie Snow, derived from Nala from my grandmother and Elise from my real mother.

Marie was my real dad's middle name — I chuckled when I remembered that.

And Snow was never been the last name, it was a name my real dad made up to get us out of the war that had caught up in our country.

My last name should have been Garcia, that's why the boys, Theo, and even the Alpha King can't find any record of me.

Regardless, I like Snow better; it fits my hair, silver-gray eyes, and ivory-white skin.

There were wars from before and even if it was between the human race, it was still as dangerous as it was between the mythical beings. That's why my family fled our own country to settle on a new one, trying to start a new life.

Then, one day, I recall my parents saying goodbye to me for they will be buying groceries for the winter only to be back in coffins.

I was only ten.

Devastated as I was and having no family to cling to, I started stress eating until I was big as a whale at the age of sixteen.

The feeling of regret and shame transpired the minute my eyes landed on that warm hazel eyes which at first held love towards me until it found me ugly and weak.

My reminiscing became as sad as it was until I saw fingers in front of me. I glanced up and saw an annoyed Ms. Dawn.

“Are we going to start all over again?” she asked, crossing her arms in front of her chest.

“I'm sorry, boss. I am a bit — ”

“Distracted? Yeah, I noticed,” she tells and her frown turned into a smirk, “let me guess, and I'll base this on that blushing, it's the Alpha King, isn't it?” she questions making my eyes widened.

“How?” I squinted my eyes at her, “Wait for a second, you've been stalking me?” I asked and she made a fake innocent face saying she did not.

My eyes narrowed down a little more, and seeing her lips twitching, I knew she was lying.

“You did… you sly.” I accused and she finally laughs.

“I'm sorry, Dyme. I can't help it.” she says, “But to be frank, I like seeing you with the Alpha King. He makes you happy more than the other one.” she blurts out and I rolled my eyes.

Theo and I's relationship came to a halt for a while since his work caught up with him and a lot of meetings to keep him still in his office.

I do miss him, I really do but I respect his schedule.

All of a sudden, a call interrupted Ms. Dawn and I's conversation. When I look down, it was Theo calling.

Speak of the devil.

I excused myself from Ms. Dawn and answered the call.

“Dinner date later, love?” Theo asks sweetly with a hint of exhaustion.

I shook my head out of amusement.

“You should really rest first, Theo,” I stated and I heard him snort.

“I'm fine, love. I just wanted to see you. It's been over three weeks since our last talk… Please.” he implored and I couldn't say no.

So I conceded and here we are, fifteen minutes after at a restaurant.

“Hi love,” Theo greeted me and I greeted back with a smile.

“Come, I already ordered your favorite so sit down now,” he stated and leads me to the seat.

We talked a lot, and even our food arrived, we still converse mostly about his work and the progress of his investigation into my history.

When I did tell him about Mikee's help, he kinda flips out and told me he didn't like it one bit.

“He must have been lying to you, love. You should not trust such words coming from dogs like him.” Theo spat making me glare at him.

“Theo, it is not nice to say that. He's been a great help to me,” I started, “and how could you even tell he's lying when you heard how accurate and the same your findings are with his?” I inquired.

Theo's jaw ticked as his eyes shifted from me to the side, where the beach view was.

“I do not trust the dog, love.” he simply stated and was about to throw another argument when I felt another pain in my head.

I have been feeling this since Mikee and I kissed.

Sure the kiss enabled me to remember some parts of my past but it also brought discomfort to me to the point of having migraines every minute it seems preferable.

It was like every recollection was a hammer, hitting me violently in the skull and brain every time it flashes and flickers.

I groaned and Theo panic.

“Love? What's wrong? Are you okay? Tell me, what is it little one?” he rapid-fires and I couldn't even provide an answer to him.

That's how painful it was and when he lifted my head to faced him, his eyes widened upon landing on my nose. I instantly touched it and that's when I saw blood.

My nose was bleeding!

And seeing that, I just pass out.

⁂Theo

It's taking too long, way too long.

I was just thinking about her safety when I talk to her about not trusting that dog of a King. But never did I imagine that she would react this way, that she would bleed and pass out.

I am worried, very worried that my body trembled in great fear.

I don't want to lose her, not her. She's my future and she's my life now…

How could things have transpired like this when everything was going well?

I was even about to ask her hand in her marriage when —

“Where the hell is she!” I heard a voice boom in the nurse's desk.

Even with my eyes close, I know who's voice was that and that dampened my mood immediately.

How in the world does the Alpha King knows we're at a hospital?

“She's still being checked, Sir. Please sit down.” I heard one of the female nurses explains and I heard the dog growls.

“Where!” he booms and I could only roll my eyes.

Such dramatic dogs.

Heeding that he will not calm down, I called out to him. Instead of being greeted by him in a friendly manner, he pinned me up to a wall.

I snarled.

“What the fuck are you doing?” I asked, tugging his hand off of my neck.

“What did you do to her!” he yells and the walls shook from his voice. He's using an Alpha tone.

I rolled my eyes again and his grip tightened around my neck.

“I did… not… do nothin', ” I managed to say and before he could say anything, Legaxy came out of the treatment room.

She looked shocked to see us both, especially when she found me pinned up a wall.

“Stop it you two!” she shouts and after hearing her voice, the Alpha King instantly let go of me and ran to her to engulfed her into a hug.

Now it's my turn to pin him down, to the floor and when I swing a punched at him, he evaded it and I only hit the tiled floor of the hospital.

“Your fucking slow leech,” the dog said smugly.

I flashed him my fangs and I could tell my eyes changed color because his eyes widened. Then, on instinct, his eyes turned pitch black as well.

So this is a fight.

“Bring it own, DOG.” I spat with every venom I could put on the sentence.

He growls and he was on top of me.

“You leech, your stupid enough to even think that she will live with you!”

I snarled at him.

“Your the stupid one to even believe that she will ever forgive you for what you did. You're a fucking excuse of a mate you are.”

Without another word, I jerked off of him and before I could even turn and have him pin down to the ground again, he got off of me.

“You're no match to her!” he yells and I laughed.

“And you think that you are better?” I scoffed, “You rejected her, dog. Don't think that I didn't know that? I know you piece of shit! So don't tell me I'm no match for her. You already wasted your chance on her.”

He roars at me and I snarled back at him.

“Stop it! I said stop! STOP!” Legaxy screams and when we heard her used her lungs to her full potential, both the dog and I halted our actions to look at my RED.

She was crying now.

Shit!

I started to move and the dog did the same. I shot him a glare and so did he but we only stopped when my little one shook her head a NO.

“You both are the worst and no better,” she rasped, her throat dry from crying out.

“I'm sorry, love.”

“I'm sorry, Nala.”

We both said and Legaxy's jaw ticked as she crossed her arms in front of her chest.

“Sorry doesn't do anything now,” she whispers and when I glance up, she was now staring at us.

She was crying.

Before the dog and I could say anything, Legaxy left.

Now, this was one lovely evening.
