Chapter 194: Chapter 194

Alpha's Hated Mate

Camilla's POV

I woke up next to flowers, beautiful red roses next to me and a box of chocolates aside. I tried to wrap my head around everything I was thinking of.

I thought it was a dream but the bite marks on my thighs and tame soreness between my legs convinced me it was a reality. I couldn't believe so many things happened overnight from me poking my arms with a knife to Adrian punishing me for it. My life changed so fast I woke up single yesterday and went to bed as a fiancee who knows maybe tomorrow I'll wake up a wife unless I'm still dreaming.

I quickly checked my hand and relaxed when I saw a ring. As I admire the beautiful diamond shining on my finger, my bedroom door opens wide and Arieya, Karla, Stacey & Zuri walk in; they're dressed in gorgeous little elegant dresses.

“Oh my God.” I breathe out. The mother fucker meant every single fucking thing he said.

“I feel stupid pretty.” Arieya giggles.

I gulped, flickering to everyone found in the room. “You girls look so cute, where are you going?”

“Your wedding.” Kendall says walking in with clothes.

“What he was serious?”

“Of Course he is now, why are you in here in bed?” Mirabelle replied. I covered my mouth realizing I said my thought bold loud.

Wow she's wearing the maid of honor dress I picked on the game I played for King.

Karla jumps me on bed. “I'm happy you're getting married mommy.”

Mirabelle pouts. “She won't get married if she stays in bed.”

Stacey glares at the golden wall clock silently hung on the left angle of the wall with apt focus. “Auntie get changed.” she admonishes.

Zuri claps her hands. “We want to eat cake so the sooner you get married the sooner we'll get to eat it.”

“Come on girls come with me.” Kendall says taking the kids and I see Arieya's eyes tearing up when she looks at me.

“What's wrong, love?”

Arieya's eyes pool with more tears. “I feel sad and happy and sad again.” she replies with a crying voice.

“Don't be sad, you look so beautiful.”

“Okay.” she sniffs.

Mirabelle lets out a wide arm. “Come to Tia.”

She runs to her and Belle picks her up.

Mirabelle faces Kendall and the kids. "Kendall it's fine I'll bring Arieya with me just take the rest of the kids I'll make sure the bride makes it.”

Kendall nods and closes the door as the rest of the kids leave with her.

Mirabelle sighs and turns to me. “Go shower so I can do your makeup.”

I nod getting out of bed.

Arieya breaks free from Mirabelle's grasp running to me. “No mommy, don't leave me.”

I palm her cheek into my hands with a loving tenderness. “I'm not leaving you Arieya, I'm going to the bathroom.”

Arieya gets clingy sometimes but she picked the wrong day. I'm getting married today and looks like I'll get married with a kid on my hip. And the other in my stomach.

“Wrong day to be a clingy sweetie.”

Arieya's lips quivered in tears. “Sorry I'm a bad girl I'll be good just stay here with me please mommy I don't want to be alone.”

I look at Mirabelle as my heart becomes heavy.

“Please.” Arieya added.

“You're not a bad girl, you're the best girl, okay don't ever think that.” I wiped the tear on her duct and placed a kiss on her cheek.

Mirabelle crouched to the floor and took my little clingy princess with a hug rubbing her back. “She's not leaving you she's going to take a bath and besides you will never be alone because I'm always going to be with you when mommy isn't I promise okay.”

“Okay.” Arieya nods, sniffing. I proceed to the bathroom and shower still to process everything I'm getting married.

When I get out of the bathroom Arieya is laying on my bed with Belle's phone. I pick out a dress and Belle helps me get ready. Arieya's mood lightens up a little but she's so clingy still.

“Mommy the angel is waiting for you.”

“What angel?” I ask in bewilderment. An unsettling feeling hitting my lower stomach.

“What's your name?” Arieya says, looking to her left. I didn't know Arieya had an imaginary friend.

“When did she get an imaginary friend?” Mirabelle was just as perplexed as I was as she helped me in the process of getting ready.

“That's my name too.” she says laughing.

“Arieya loves herself.” I laugh at my daughter's childish tricks. She got me scared for a minute but I'm over it.

“It's good she does.” Mirabelle sighs, her fingers still working on getting me ready as I patiently wait her out. My butt hurts from the long sitting running for hours.

“Okay Arieya when are you leaving you're getting annoying with your crying.”

“Should I be worried about her?” I peek at her side eyes and my darling daughter still hasn't stopped sobbing.

“No, she's good stay still.” Belle says putting custom made silver claw pins in my hair.

“Come on, aren't you too old to be crying like a baby?” she asks, laughing. “Yes she does look beautiful in that dress.” she says, glancing at me.

Mirabelle admires her job blowing me a kiss. “Done, let me get the necklace and tiara.” She says heading out the room.

“Baby who is this friend of yours?”

Arieya whispers. “I don't know where she came from.”

“You don't?” God I hope my daughter hasn't lost her sanity.

“It's the truth.” She says looking beside her again and giggles, “Can I tell her?” Arieya asks starring into the blank space.

“What do you mean mommy can't see you?” she talks to her imaginary friend like it was an actual person.

Creepy.

“Arieya!”

“Mommy don't you see this Tia chica?”

Should I be honest and break her heart that I can't see her friend?

“Hmm no but it's okay that only you can see her.”

“Okay.” she says, looking to her side. “She has pretty eyes like you.”

Mirabelle walks back in and places the necklace down.

“No you can't take mommy with you Arieya she's my mommy me small Arieya.” She says getting off the bed angrily and running to me.

“Trouble in paradise Arieya.” Mirabelle laughs. I sit Arieya in my lap as Belle finishes up with everything. I get up and look at my dress. It's just as beautiful as I'd imagined. I wouldn't pin me for the Cinderella Disney type but when I saw this dress my inner child screamed with joy and I just had to wear it.

“You look so beautiful.” Mirabelle compliments.

“Thanks Auntie.”

“Why are you calling me Auntie so much?” Mirabelle cocked her eyebrow as she twitched her lips to the side to spring the gist outta me.

“I only said it once.”

“Adrian did too.” She claimed.

“Take a wild guess.”

“You guys plan on having a baby?” she asked uncertainly.

I shrugged. “More like the baby plans on having us.”

“What do you mean?”

“You'll find out soon.” I smile into the mirror. “Come on big sis let's go.” I say picking Arieya up.

“Don't ruin your dress.” She calls out.

“I won't.” Sending her a relaxed smile as I exit the room. We go to the limo outside and it looks like I'm getting married at my mother's vacation house just 1 hour away from my house. When we arrive I notice cars everywhere.

“Oh my God.”

“Surprise.” Mirabelle screeched with glee.

“How did you get so many people overnight?” I looked at the gigantic building and the cars would commute a lot of people.

“Well Adrian planned the whole thing it's a surprise.” She steps out of the car and helps me out. I'm met by uncle Enrique.

Uncle Enrique pulls me into his arms. “My love.”

“Uncle.” I cry on his shoulders like a baby. It's getting too much to bottle in. My life feels like an ugly rollercoaster and now it's swerved in the best way imaginable.

He wiped the tears forming in my eyes and pecked my forehead. “You look so beautiful.”

I giggle, blinking tears away.

Belle takes Arieya's hand. “I'll let them know to start the song.”

“Come on, let's get you your happy ever after.” He takes my hand and leads me inside. To the back garden. The garden is beautifully decorated.

The guests are seated on wooden chairs. I watch the whole set up with tears threatening to fall. I didn't think Adrian would bring a priest for our marriage he isn't very religious fuck that he isn't religious at all.

“No, don't cry.” Uncle Enrique squeezed my hands softly when I sobbed a little, the tears of joy won't stop gushing.

I swallow. “I'm sorry.”

“This is your day and when that song starts we are going to walk down this aisle and I'll give you away to the only man that loves you more than I do.”

“I can't believe it's happening.” I can't get over this setup from the welcome sign to the aisle chairs I'm in love.

“What's that?” I ask uncle Enrique when I hear a song on the piano.

“That's our que.” I hook my hand in his and we walk down the aisle the more notes the pianist plays the more it comes back to me this is our song Adrian's and my song.

'A thousand years' by Christina Perry. My eyes go straight to the bridesmaids and I smile trying not to cry. Mirabelle is holding Arieya and she waves excitedly. I turn my eyes straight ahead and meet Adrian's gaze. Santiago beside him whispers something in his ear and he closes his mouth. He looks better in his suit than he did in all my fantasy's about marrying him. It's like the entire world has disappeared the moment we locked eyes.

“Who gives the bride away?” Is the question that breaks me out of my thoughts.

“I Enrique Carol's Burton do.” He says putting my hand into Adrian's. I smile at him and look at everyone else Arieya runs to me when Santiago waves at her. I pick her up and everyone gashes over the adorable moment.

The Priest clears his throat to gather attention before he proceeds with the business of the day. “Dear beloved we are gathered here to celebrate the coming together of two wonderful souls.”

Santiago winks at me. I hold Arieya nicely and fix my gaze on Adrian.

He continues. “What God has put together no man can separate and you two are the perfect example, so I've been told.”

Adrian smiles at me and I can't help but blush.

“I ask you now, in the presence of God and these people to declare your intention to enter into union with each other.”

“Yes, priest.” Adrian and I both say. I can hear sobs and I prefer not to look at the people they belong to. Santiago takes Arieya and she complies.

“Camilla Mia Burton, will you have Adrian Carter to be your husband to live together in holy marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor and keep him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others to be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?”

“I will.” I say.

“Adrian Carter will you have Camilla Mia Burton to be your wife to live together in holy marriage will you love her comfort her honor her and keep her in sickness and in health forsaking all others be faithful to her as long as you both shall live?”

“I will.” Adrian affirms.

“Will the parents of Camilla and Adrian please stand?” The priest requests.

I don't look but assume they stand because he continues. “The marriage of Adrian and Camilla unites their families and creates a new one. Will you rejoice in their union And pray God’s blessing upon them?”

“We will.” I hear Adrian's Mom and uncle Enrique say.

The priest stares at the guests. “Will all gathered please stand?” I look at the guests and everyone is standing. Oh yes Sheryl and Arielle are among the people I heard sobbing and Mirabelle.

“Will all of you by God's grace, do everything in your power to uphold and care for these two persons in their marriage be true and honest with them?”

“We will.” The congregation responds.

The priest gives us a short prayer.

“I take you Adrian Carter to be my husband to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, In sickness and in health to love and to cherish, until we are parted by death. This is my solemn vow from this day forth.” I say repeating after the priest to Adrian and stop waiting for his part.

“I take you Camilla Mia Burton to be my wife to have to hold for richer for poorer for better for worse in sickness and health till death do us part.”

The priest teaches. “These rings are the outward and visible sign of an inward and spiritual grace, signifying to all the uniting of Camilla and Adrian in holy matrimony.”

Adrian and I take the rings from our little ring bearer, his nephew Ty. We say our vows and place the rings on each other's fingers.

“With the power vested in me I pronounce you husband and wife you may kiss the bride.”

I look at Adrian shyly and he gently pulls me to him and kisses me. Everyone applauds.

“I love you Mrs. Carter.” Adrian says pulling his mouth away from mine

“I love you too Mr. Carter.” I say looking at everyone else. “How is everyone crying but you?” I say to Adrian.

“I cried when I saw you in that dress Santiago had to wipe my tears.”

“I didn't see that.” I try to recall but it came out blurry the time I stepped into the hall I was floating through the congregation.

“You were lost in your own world Mrs. Carter.”

“True.” I giggle.

“You wanna get out of here?” He appears impatient to take me out of here and cuddle up in our room and privacy.

“Adrian we just got married.” I say laughing.

“The reception is at the Royals.” Santiago whispers.

“Of course there's a reception.” I palmed forgetting what goes with a wedding. I'm still lost with the whole arrangement. Who wouldn't? Waking up to a surprise wedding isn't something most women could relate to. Marriage is the most tasking and intimate part of one's life and being oblivious of how it got put into one isn't helping my forgetfulness.

Arieya rubs towards us screaming. “Mommy Arieya is back.”

Adrian picks her into his arms. “Talking about herself in third person I see Stacey is rubbing off on her.”

“No she means her imaginary friend.” I say whispering the word imaginary.

A few people congratulate us and honestly I'm tired of saying thank you because none of this feels real yet it's like a dream I don't want to wake up from.

After a good hour or so almost everyone is gone they're heading to the reception. The real party with alcohol and drinks. And cake.

“Come on, let's go.” He says.

Adrian carries Arieya and we head for the car. It's Me, Adrian, Ryan and some of my bridesmaids plus Sheryl. Arieya is in the second car that's right behind us with Belle, King and Santiago. The driver play's Tatiana's 'Heaven".

“So honeymoon?" I ask Adrian.

“Anywhere you want.”

I think for three minutes and came to a wonderful idea. “How about a week at a wonderful beach house just me and you?” I say winking at him.

“You don't want to go to Paris, it's heaven, you know?” He suggests.

Adrian wants to spoil me with the best but he shouldn't, maybe later in the future but for now I just want to get grounded with my new family and roles.

I shook my head. “I found my heaven right here with you and my kids.”

He kisses my cheek and I blush.

I turned to see an unpleasant sight. “You know Aunt Sheryl, the wedding ceremony is over, you can stop sobbing.”

“You're going..” Amaya taps her shoulder and she stops.

“Going to be happy.” Sheryl completes it.

“I am happy.” I say looking at Adrian as we hold hands.

“Your love will live on forever.” Amaya prays which I nod but feels something heavy behind her words. A strange aura manifesting.

Sheryl tears up even more. I get up and ask the driver to open the top.

“Mia, get down!”

The possessive husband of mine tried to yank me down but I was stubborn to put a block to him.

I got distracted. “Oh no my viel.” I scream as it blows away. I get back in the car.

“Stop the car!”

“What's wrong?” Arielle asked, taken aback by my command to halt the moving vehicle.

“My viel it flew away.”

“I'll get you another one.” Adrian says holding me back.

“No, it's special.” I say opening the door.

“Let me get it.” Sheryl appeases.

“It’s fine, I'll get it.” Adrian counters.

“It’s my viel so I'll get it." I shut them up.

Ryan scoffs itching his nose. “Your first fight as a married couple is about a veil.”

I get out of the car and Adrian does too. We run after my viel and it blows away we laugh and again run after it. I look at the car and see Ryan.

“I got it.” I yell waving the veil at him. I turn around and Adrian is running to me screaming no. I look behind me and scream. Everything goes black for a second or two the next thing I hear is a siren. I'm in pain. I can hear everyone else speaking around me and I can hear my daughters crying. I tilt my head and look to my husband beside me.

“Adrian.” I say coughing and a metallic taste of blood hits my mouth.

“I'm here baby.”

“I'm dying.” My voice is weak and unable to hear myself speak.

“No Mia don't close your eyes help is coming don't you hear it.”

I shake my head with tears streaming down my face.

“For Arieya, for our baby,” he says. I glanced at the blood that had soaked my dress and turned it red. The blood from his head has mixed with blood from mine. He can hardly keep his eyes open. Images of us from the day we first met flash in my mind like a reply to where we are.

“Hold on Mia.” He draws out growing weak himself as he begins to turn pale, losing a lot of blood.

“Wait for me.”

“No.” he says. “I love you.” He says before his breathing stops. My tears continue to fall as my vision fades.

I continue to hear voices around me but this time they're fading along with the words Arieya said, “The angel is waiting for you mommy.”
