Once she calmed down after the shock of hearing so many voices in her head, Azraiel sort of ordered everyone to stop bombarding her with the messages through mindlink. She had no idea how to block the mindlink for others and her emotions were all over the place for her to imagine a fucking wall in her mind.
Once it became silent in her head, she took the oath to be the Luna of the Blue Orchid Pack and the whole next hour after that was nothing but meeting people and accepting their wishes. Even the old lady who wanted to know the reason of keeping Charlotte in the pack congratulated her and bowed down her head in respect. Charlotte was overwhelmed to say the least.
Now, it was around three in the noon and Ayleen and her were lazily sprawled on her bed after changing into their comfortable clothes. The party will start at 7 in the evening and Charlotte has planned to start getting ready at six.
“You know” Charlotte turned her head towards Ayleen when she started speaking, “your aura changed after your Luna oath.”
“Changed…um..how?” Charlotte plopped her head on her elbow and turned towards Ayleen.
“It’s…Your aura has always been powerful but at the same time it somehow felt strange…the kind of strange that makes you nervous. But after the oath, it became calmer…still powerful, in fact more powerful but somehow soothing instead of nerve wrecking.” Ayleen tried to explain.
“Maybe..! I…I can’t feel the aura like you do but I certainly feel calmer now. I think it’s because my wolf feels accepted and content now that she is a part of the pack.” Charlotte could think of only one reason behind the change in her aura.
“Yeah.” Ayleen nodded at her. “That must be the reason.”
“What’s your wolf like?” Charlotte asked curiously. She hasn’t seen Ayleen’s wolf yet. Well, she has seen only Azraiel’s wolf and those kids at the training.
Ayleen’s face broke into a smile at her question. “She is brown, like my mother’s and she is very excited to meet you.”
“Well, I am excited to meet her too. Let’s do this, After Azraiel leaves tomorrow, well spend some quality time together. You can show me everything in the pack and in the evening you can show me your wolf if you want.” Charlotte suggested, completely aware that this young woman has already included her in her family and for that she is very grateful.
“Of course! That’ll be so much fun.” Ayleen sits up in the bed excitedly. “Azraiel is always busy and just hates it when I take him to shopping with me. We can do our shopping together and oh…we can go to the salon….and after that maybe to the new restaurant Billy has just opened…You know what, I just love…” Charlotte laughed at her enthusiasm. Oh god, I had no idea I needed a sister until I met Ayleen Michaelson. Charlotte said to herself and her wolf agreed.

Azraiel buttoned his white shirt as his eyes roamed over his mate’s body. Charlotte looked stunning in a dark wine colored dress that reached just above her knees. She has let her black hair flow freely down her shoulders and back and put on some makeup. The kohl in her eyes was darker than the morning and it just made her eyes look so much sexier. Around her neck was dangling a necklace that Ayleen gifted her today. It was actually a small citrine crystal in the shape of a circle. All in all, Charlotte looked fucking hot and he had already messed up while closing the buttons of his shirt twice because he couldn’t keep his eyes off her.
“You know you look really hot, right?” He blurts out the compliment without meaning to sound like it did.
“Thank you! Need some help?” Charlotte finally turns towards him and asked, mirth dancing in her eyes. She was enjoying this alright.
“Nope! I think I ‘ll manage.” There is no way that they would reach the party on time if she started one of her games right now. For the past week they have been testing each other’s limits. They’d try to tempt each other. Sometimes by walking out naked from the bathroom, sometimes by the intense looks in the eyes, sometimes by the soft strokes of touch and sometimes by just being around each other. He has been sporting a hard on around her all the fucking time and his wolf hasn’t been of much help. Somehow, his wolf believes that neither Charlotte nor her wolf wants to wait for the mating and Azraiel is the only one being over cautious.
Well, he too doesn’t want to wait but with so many species present inside her, it just doesn’t feel safe for her to mate with him right now. His worst fear is that he’d mate with her and all the other species get attached to her instead of her wolf. That would make life hell for both Charlotte and him. That and the mindlink thing today. Wolves gain the ability to mindlink only after they shift into their wolves. Charlotte hasn’t shifted and yet she was able to not only hear everything clearly but also respond through the mindlink. The chances of her being an Alpha wolf were becoming stronger and stronger every day.
He walked to the mirror and fixed his hair completely aware of her gaze on his hips.
“Come on! We don’t want to be late at our own party.” Azraiel cleared his throat as he turned towards her, the look in her eyes telling him that she had a different kind of party in her mind.
Instead of walking out of the room, she walks up to him and places her lips on his. He breathes her scent and kisses her passionately pouring all his love in the kiss.
“Let’s add one more rule to our rule list.” She whispers, her nose still touching his.
“Yeah?”
“Mhm… We’ll never leave the house without hugging and kissing each other, no matter if we are leaving together, no matter we are fighting, no matter how urgent it is.”
Azraiel smiles at the new rule and kisses her softly. “Yes, Ma’am!” He plans on following this rule till his last breath.
