Chapter 82: Chapter 82

Charlotte has no idea how she told them everything she saw but she did. After she calmed down, Azraiel, Ayleen, Matt and her sat down in Azraiel’s living room and she narrated the various versions of her she saw during the meditation. As soon as she finished, they knew what species was she talking about.

“You already know that the first one is a wolf,” Azraiel started telling her about the supernaturals. “The second one is Vampire, it’s the only supernatural that has red eyes even in human form and fangs at the same time.” He glanced at Ayleen for a second and then moved his eyes back to her. “The third could be a witch since it’s the most possible one out of the three species that have purple eyes and the fourth sounds like an elf.”

“I thought there were only three…” Charlotte’s voice trails as she is unable to finish the sentence, feeling equally frustrated and scared.

“Hey! It’s okay. We’ll figure it out.” Azraiel squeezes her hand and offers a smile.

“Matt, I need you in the office after an hour.” Azraiel says and she is sure he has added more to it through the mindlink.

“Take a break, Charlotte. Distract yourself from this stuff for a while or else you’ll be stressed out.” Azraiel leaves after placing a soft kiss on her forehead.

“Come on! Let’s sort out your dress for tomorrow.” Ayleen chirps as soon as Azraiel and Matt leave and she is grateful. She would just overthink and worry herself to death if she was left alone.

Nodding at Ayleen, Charlotte picks up her cell phone and follows her out. They are going to check out boutiques in the pack for the dresses. Ayleen told her that it’s customary to wear blue during the pack ceremonies. Blue is in some way the color of the pack both due to its name and the vast farms of blue orchid flowers in the pack.

It is said that when the human population grew and the forests were cleared out, the werewolf packs used the resources from their pack to generate some source of income and later used the same as investment in pack budgets. The Blue Orchid pack has always had beautiful flowers and made their money by selling the flowers on human land. From supplying them to the wholesalers to the retailers, they have established a brand in the human world and the humans have no idea who is behind this brand. They set up an office in the human land with a few human employees and a farm where they grow some of the flowers that can’t be grown in the blue orchid pack. Their flower business is one of the main reasons that they are quite rich and are able to provide every facility to the wolves of the pack.

Taking a deep breath, Charlotte tried to focus on the dress and not the species residing inside her. Tomorrow is a big day and there is no way in hell she’ll let anything ruin it!

“Are you okay?” Azraiel asks Katya who was sitting right in front of him in his office at the packhouse. She looks better but somehow her energy seems dim and low.

“I am good. Is Charlotte okay?” She asks as her brows furrow.

“She’ll be fine. I have asked Ayleen to distract her for a while.”

“Azraiel, I think you should be more cautious around her. From what you’ve told me about today, it seems like the other species are making their presence known and we

all know that no two supernaturals go well together and we are talking about four here!” Katya’s voice reflected her worries.

“I know, I know! But it’s not like we have any choice. If her other species actually showed themselves in their true form, then we might have ways to ask them about this, but till now all they have done is let us know that they exist. To be able to come to the conclusion, we’ll need more information than just knowing their kind, and then there’s the black wolf.” Azraiel paused, his mind refusing to believe what Charlotte told him.

Katya absentmindedly nodded. “The last black wolf was a royal, right?”

Azraiel looked up at her and nodded. “The late King. Some say that the Queen too had a black wolf but she never really shifted into her wolf in public so no one knows for sure. The Royal book of Bloodlines, however, has recorded her wolf’s color as grey.”

“Is it…is it possible that Charlotte is from the royal bloodline?” Katya voiced her suspicion.

“I..I don’t know Katya! Years ago, the royal family died in the fire at the King’s castle. The King, the Queen, the king’s brother, and his family, everyone died. The royal army searched the forests and human land for years for the sake of those who believed that someone from the Royal family might have escaped the horrible fate, but they found no one. The Royal family has a strong aura and so I believe if anyone was alive, they would have been found out soon after the fire.” Azraiel tries to reason but his heart is saying otherwise.

“Charlotte has a strong aura! Maybe that’s the reason she was admitted into the H.O.P.E. Mission in the first place.” Theo chirps in for the first time. God, Azraiel almost forgot his Bet and Gamma were in the room too. They have been so silent the entire time making him aware that he isn’t the only one worried and constantly thinking.

“It’s possible!” Matt shrugged as he looked at Azraiel.

Azraiel nodded at that. “It’s possible! But, they didn’t find anything all these years. Surely, if she was royalty, someone would have found her. Hell, we all know that the Royal council still believes that the Royal Bloodline is alive. They have combed out the entire population of Rysterbia in hopes of finding the heir to the throne.”

Everyone in the room silently considered what he said.

“Maybe her aura was concealed the entire time, Azraiel.” Katya said in a low voice, suggesting a possibility that might have been true.

“Maybe!” Azraiel sighed audibly and leaned back. “We have been playing guessing games for so long that the lines between all the possibilities are starting to blur.”

“If she is indeed a Royal, then the King’s castle is the best place to start digging in.” Theo said with a straight face and Azraiel agreed. Maybe they could get a clue about

it and if not then they’d be at least able to rule out the possibility of her being a royal.

“Alpha?” Matt spoke up, his face looking alarmed. “The red-eyed wolves just picked up the letter you left for them!”
