Chapter 119: Chapter 119

“Katya?” Matt knocks on the door.

“Uh..yeah?” Katya closes her mother’s journal and stands up.

“Theo called. They found the white wolf.” Matt says with urgency.

“They did?” Katya asks in wonder.

“Yeah..” Matt walks in when she motions her hand to ask him to get in. “He..uh- he described how Kira and him found the wolf and it’s something similar to what you experienced in the woods earlier.”

Katya looks at him as if to say “go on.”

“She-she too heard her name being called in the woods and there was no one but them there.” He finishes.

Katya frowns and looks at her mother’s journal.

“Let me just grab my mother’s journals and we’ll head back.” She starts pulling out her mother’s journals from the shelf.

“There’s one more thing.” Matt continues. “He said that the wolf’s aura and powers are suppressed by the magic.”

Katya nods. “I’ll have to look for the spell to strip off the magic.” Katya now picks up the grimoires too.

“I’ll wait for you downstairs.” Matt says and she just nods.

Her mother’s journal has forced her to pay attention to every event that has happened in her life. Maybe…maybe she met Ayleen because she was meant to help Charlotte all along!

Katya puts all her mother’s journals and grimoires in a bag and with one last look at the room, she heads downstairs.

“Let’s go!” She says and within the next two minutes, they are in the car leaving for the Blue Orchid pack.

“Can we stop in the woods before we go to the pack? Near where we were in the morning today?” She asks abruptly.

“Yeah..sure! But not for long, it’ll be dark soon.” Matt says with caution.

“Okay!” Katya nods and looks out of the window.

Let’s just hope that the woods help her like they helped Kira or else she has no idea how to proceed with everything going on!

Soon, Katya and Matt were just outside the pack. The sky was getting dark and the forest quiet.

Swallowing the fear of the unknown, Katya hops out of the car and takes a look around.

She walks a bit further and closes her eyes. Tuning into the silence, she tries to hear anything that she can. For a few seconds, all she can hear is the rustling of leaves because of the air.

But then it happens…

“Katya…!” Someone calls her name.

“Open your eyes..” It says again and Katya does as she is told to.

A gasp comes out of Katya’s mouth as she looks at her surroundings.

She is still in the woods but she is not in the present, instead, she is in the past.

She knows this because in front of her is a child, a little girl and beside her is her mother!

Her mother looks nothing more than 18 here, which makes her wonder if this is an illusion or if this really happened.

As her mother extends her hands to the child, the little girl disappears.

Her mother tries to search for her behind the tree trunks and bushes but she couldn’t find her, but then, suddenly the little girl reappears in front of her, throwing her hands up in the air in glee.

Katya smiles at the scene…but then she realizes that they are not alone.

Two women and a man walks up to them. Katya can’t see their faces so she walks closer.

The man has his arm around one of the women and that makes her think that they are husband and wife. The other woman walks to the child and picks up her. She kisses her forehead lovingly.

So, that must be the mother of the child…

But who are these other people?

Katya inches a bit closer to the scene and hides behind the tree.

Her mother bows to the couple and greets them.

So they must be higher in the ranks…maybe an Alpha? Katya thinks to herself.

Something doesn’t feel right to Katya as she pays attention to the people in front of her. Her mother looks really young but the other people look much older than her and their clothing…

Their clothes look a bit modern for the time this is all supposed to have happened. In her mother’s entry, she saw the child in 1968 but the clothes these people are wearing look of somewhat 20 years further from that.

As the scene in front of her unfolds, the couple starts walking away from the child but toward Katya.

She tries to hide further in the bushes but keeps her head towards the couple so that she can see them.

As the man and the woman come closer, she realizes something.

They look familiar.

Katya scrunches her brows as they come closer. She looks at their faces in concentration trying to remember if she has seen them.

Meanwhile, she glances at the child and her mother. They are still standing there talking to each other. She puts her attention back on the couple.

The couple keeps walking toward her and for some fucked up reason, she can feel the power radiating off them. Katya tries to control her breathing as she feels the power radiating around her.

Definitely Alpha and Luna!

The couple is just a few steps away from her.

And then it suddenly dawns on her…

These people look familiar because she has seen their children who are by the way a fucking great combo of these two….

Azraiel and Ayleen….

These are Azraiel and Ayleen’s parents…

The Alpha and the Luna of the Blue Orchid Pack….

She instinctively looks at her mother….and her heart skips a beat when she realizes that she is looking right at her in the eyes.

She can’t look away from her mother. They keep looking at each other for a few moments and then she smiles.

Her mother smiles at her and she knows…

She knows this all happened for real.

They all knew each other…

And this..whatever that’s happening right now is all meant to be…

Azraiel’s parents, Katya’s mother, Charlotte’s mother, and grandmother…they all knew each other!

The generation before them knew each other and probably knew they’d cross paths too!
