The rest of the pack were about doing their thing including Bailey and Rachel after cooing over Fiona when we came downstairs to take her.
I turned to Alpha Clause as I saw him rubbing a finger across his lip and a small smile tugged at his mouth. "So, what's got you smiling like that?" I asked him as I drank my orange juice.
"Well, Fiona is really adorable and I love how much joy she brings you. She seems to lighten your mood and make your eyes sparkle when she smiles." He answered me as he dipped his fork into the turkey bacon and took a bite. "And I'm happy to see you smile so much more often these days."
"I feel a lot better since I had her, but it's also because we're finally free from Alpha Ross." I told him as I finished my waffle and gulped down my glass of orange juice.
"That's right, baby. That's why I wanted to make sure that you were okay in case you needed more time to recover from the child birth." He said as he began chewing on his eggs.
"I'm fine and fully recovered, honey. I'm sure that you can attest to that from our love making this morning." I told him with a sultry look as my gaze captured his.
That seemed to make him draw in a breath in arousal as his lips tugged up into a teasing smile, "Yeah, I am pretty sure that I can."
His reaction made my tummy fill with arousal, but I drew in a deep breath and let it out as I caressed Fiona's arm.
"I hope it wasn't too rough or painful for you since it was only yesterday that you had her?" He asked as I watched the muscles on his biceps tighten as he lifted the mug of coffee to his lips and took a sip.
I shook my head as I answered, "No, Clause. It didn't hurt at all. You took care of me perfectly and made me feel good afterwards. I felt so content after having Fiona and I felt like my entire world changed."
"I'm glad to know that, my one. By the way, I think that we should invite your parents over to tell them in person instead of telling them over the phone. What do you think?" Clause asked me as he set the mug down on the table.
"That sounds like a really good idea, Clause. I'll call them and invite them over. I'm sure that they would love to meet their granddaughter and the future Alpha as soon as possible." I replied as I lifted Fiona into my arms.
My wolf purred in happiness at being a mother such a beautiful daughter and I smiled at him, "Take her while I call Mom." I told him as I kissed him gently on the lips.
He smiled as he placed his hand under my chin and tilted my face up towards him before kissing my nose playfully. "Of course, my one."
While I was dialing my mom's number, I could hear him talking softly to Fiona. His voice sounded so soothing and loving that I could feel my heart melting in response.
"Hey, Mom!" I said into the phone as soon as she picked up the call.
"Fay, how have you been, dear?" She asked back, sounding happy to be talking to me.
"Great, I have some great news. I just gave birth to a beautiful daughter and don't be angry that I didn't tell you that I was pregnant, Clause and I had no idea that I was pregnant until I went into labor."
There was an excited buzz in her voice as she spoke, "Oh my God! When did you have the baby? What's her name?"
"Mom! Calm down first. I initially wanted to tell you after I called you and Dad over, but decided it would be best if you knew over the phone first." I answered her as a small laugh left me at her excitement.
"Well, we're still coming over. I'm so excited to meet her! So what did you name her? Does she have a twin?"
"Her name is Fiona and no twin. Hopefully, we'll get twins next time." I informed her as I smiled at Alpha Clause holding the baby.
"Oh, what a beautiful name! And after my mother, thank you for that, Fay. I would love to come over right away to see her, but your Dad and I went for a little vacation out of High Valley and probably be arriving tomorrow night if we book a flight now." She explained to me as I nodded even though she couldn't see me through the phone.
"Okay, Mom. We're looking forward to seeing you both, I'm sure that Fiona would love you two." I told her as I looked at Alpha Clause who was watching me intently while I talked to my mom. My heart races at his stare and I felt my cheeks flush at how his stare was doing wonderful things to my body.
"Bye, Mom. See you and Dad tomorrow." I said as I hung up the phone.
"You are so sweet and gorgeous, Fay." Alpha Clause whispered in my ear, causing me to shiver and gasp in shock and pleasure at his words.
I swallowed hard as I turned to look at him in surprise. I reached out and took Fiona from him, "She looks like Mom too."
"Yes, she does. Just like you." He told me as he leaned in and kissed my temple.
I closed my eyes and breathed in his scent as I felt myself falling into the warmth of his kiss.
The doorbell rang at that moment and I blinked open my eyes in surprise, "I'll get the door."
I cleared my throat as I stood up and walked towards the front door, feeling his eyes on me. I was a bit surprised to find Alpha Mason, Alpha Sloan, Alpha Nathan and Alpha Wyatt standing there with their Luna Mates.
