Chapter 96: Chapter 96

"I wouldn't either, honey." I said quietly as I stepped up beside Alpha Clause and looked at him in reassurance and his lips tugged up into a small smile.

"How do you expect to beat me like this?" Alpha Ross taunted him as he stood before us, pulling our attention back to him, "You might be from a pure Lycan bloodline, but I have been a rogue with my rogues for many years which proves me to be stronger!"

"And where are your rogues now, Ross? They all abandoned you to save themselves because they know that you don't stand a chance against me. So, why don't you just give up already and stop wasting everyone's time?"

"Shut up!" Alpha Ross growled at him, "You talk too much!"

Alpha Clause smirked at him, "What crap are you talking about?! I don't have time to go back and forth with you, Ross. It all ends here now. I'm going to snap your little neck and be done with your madness!"

Alpha Clause lunged forward and grabbed Alpha Ross by the throat, but before he could snap his neck, Alpha Ross slammed his fist against Alpha Clause's jaw, making him stumble back.

"I'm not going to let you end me!" Alpha Ross snarled at him, "I won't fall to you, Clause, so you better watch out!"

Alpha Clause growled at him and pushed him back, "You're going to pay for this, you bastard!"

Alpha Ross scoffed at him, "Not if you can catch me!"

He turned around and started sprinting in his normal speed since he was too wounded to use his Lycan speed. I glanced at Alpha Clause before lunging forward towards Alpha Ross as I snapped, "Oh no, you don't, Ross! We're not letting you get away again!"

I reached Alpha Ross and threw a kick at his legs, making him trip and fall first face. I heard his hateful comment as he lifted his face off the ground, "B*tch!"

I smiled in satisfaction as I glanced back at Alpha Clause who was walking towards us. He looked amused as he said in a proud tone of voice, "Good job, Fay! Letting him escape this time would have been a bad move."

"Yeah, I know, Clause. That's why I knew that I had to stop him from escaping no matter what." I replied to him as I placed my hands on my hips, feeling proud of myself too.

He bent down and grabbed Alpha Ross by his shirt collar as he pulled him up, "Now, let's see how well you can fight me, Ross."

"You're going to die here, Clause!" He spat out, looking furious.

"Says the one in my clutches." My Alpha mate said in a sarcastic voice.

Alpha Clause smirked at him, "It's okay, Ross. I'm going to tear your heart out of your chest and snap your little neck."

"You wouldn't dare!"

"Yes, I would and I will!"

Alpha Clause lifted his hand and swung it back at him, but Alpha Ross shifted to his Lycan form and dodged it easily, "You're going to pay for this, Clause!"

"Not this again." He said with a tired sigh as he grabbed him by the neck, lifting him off the ground.

"Aren't you going to wait to execute him in front of everyone in the pack like we had planned to?" I asked him, curiously as I watched Alpha Ross gap for breath as I did earlier in his grip.

My Alpha mate shook his head as his gaze threaded over to me, "And give him a chance to escape again? No, I would rather end this now and we can take the body for them to see that our enemy and oppressor has finally been brought to his end."

He glanced up at Alpha Ross as soon as I nodded in agreement. In an instant, he pushed his claws into his chest and clawed out his heart, making Alpha Ross's body go limp. He threw the heart on the ground and glanced at me as he shifted from his Lycan form to his human form.

I breathed out a sigh of relief, "It's finally done, our oppressor is no more."

His amber gaze captured mine as his lips tugged into a relieved smile, "It's finally done, Fay, and now, we can go back to the pack house and show our pack our victory."

"We should all also call Alpha Mason, Alpha Sloan, Alpha Nathan, Alpha Wyatt and their mates over to celebrate our victory." I suggested as we started walking back the path towards the pack house with him dragging Alpha Ross's body along with one hand.

"Okay, let's do just that." He smiled as he looked at me with a fond expression, "I'm glad that you were able to help me with this, Fay."

I shrugged my shoulders, "What else was there to do? We couldn't let him escape again."

An hour later, we had gathered everyone in the pack house including the Five with their packs and ours. The table was set and all the food was ready for us to eat. Everyone was eager and excited to hear the story of how we made our way to winning against Alpha Ross. Even though we had lost some of our pack members over the course of the months that we were fighting him, we were still alive and standing tall, well, except for Luna Hailey.

"Alpha, how did you find Alpha Ross and finally end him?" Carter asked, looking excited as everyone at the table quieted down and looked over at Aloha Clause who was sitting at the head of the table beside me.

His eyes glided over to me and I felt my heart race at the look in his alluring dark amber eyes. He moved his gaze away from me and looked over at Carter as the look disappeared, "Well, he came to find us, actually, and we started fighting. One thing led to another, before we knew it, we had him in our hold and I was ripping his heart out."
