Chapter 94: Chapter 94

Once he left, Alpha Clause sighed deeply and then looked down at me with a soft smile, "So, Alex is your childhood friend, huh? That must mean that you two grew up together."

"Yeah, we were best friends until he moved away." I explained to him with a smile, "Kind of like you and Olivia, except he doesn't have a crush on me like she does on you."

"That's true." Alpha Clause murmured as he kissed my cheek, "Olivia is quite a handful, and not my mate. I am more than grateful to you as my mate, Fay. I love you, baby."

I giggled at the memory of her trying to flirt with him, "I love you too, honey. Now come on, we need to go inside and eat before lunch passes by."

"Hmm or do you wanted to go back in and start making out again?" Alpha Clause teased as he nipped at my earlobe, causing me to shiver in pleasure, "I think we should do that, but since we're already near the woods, why don't we go for that run in our wolf form? What do you say, my one?"

I giggled, feeling happy and excited, "Alright, but we can't go too far into the woods, okay? I don't want to risk being attacked by Alpha Ross out here."

"Why not?" He asked with a curious expression before he kissed the side of my neck, making delightful shivers run through my body and my tummy tightening with desire, "What if I promise you that I will protect you, baby?"

I let out a small laugh as I pulled back, "I can protect myself, Clause. I'm just worried about dealing with Alpha Ross and his rogues when it's just the two of us."

As I spoke, our eyes met, making my heart race and I could see the love and want for me in his eyes. He ran his fingers through my silky, dark hair as he reassured me, "It's fine, they won't attack us, and even if they do, I'm a Lycan, baby, I can fight a hundred wolves by myself."

I rolled my eyes at his dramatic statement, but I didn't deny his words. I trusted him, and I knew that he would never lie to me or hurt me, so I nodded with a giggle, feeling impressed with his power and slightly aroused, "Fine, honey, we'll go for that run in the woods. But only if you promise to protect me."

"Of course, baby." He nodded then lowered his head to capture my lips with his gently, "I'll protect you forever."

I laughed and leaned my head against his shoulder, "You always do."

"Now, let's go for that run." He growled, kissing my neck again, making me shiver in delight.

He stepped back and shifted into his wolf form that has Amber fur and was very gorgeous. I followed his lead and shifted into my light brown wolf too that sometimes changed into white. We ran into the forest, exploring new parts of the woods that we hadn't seen before as we nipped at each other's ears and rubbed our snouts together.

When we reached a part of the forest where the trees looked thicker and taller, Alpha Clause stopped to sniff the air and then looked at me as he used mind link to communicate with me in wolf form, 'This way.'

I followed him as he walked deeper into the woods, pressing his body against mine as we started to run faster. The air became colder and breezy as we ran, and it felt exhilarating to be running with him and experiencing the joy of being in our wolf forms with each other.

After we were a few miles into the woods, we slowed down and looked at each other with content smiles on our faces. He wrapped his arms around me possessively as we both licked at each other's noses affectionately.

However, our joy was brought to a stop when we heard several growls as some rogues surrounded us, walking out of the forest, including Alpha Ross. We all shifted back into our human form, including Alpha Ross while his rogues growled at us, surrounding us. He grinned as he stepped forward, his eyes on Alpha Clause and I as he grinned wickedly.

"I heard and saw what you said through the Mirror of Wisdom, Luna Fay that you're worried about me and my rogues attacking you two while you're in the woods, so I decided to do just that!" Alpha Ross said as he laughed, maniacally.

I tensed as I looked at him, "What are you saying, Ross?"

"Oh, don't worry, my lovely little Fay, I don't plan on killing you." Alpha Ross smirked at me, "But I want to give you a taste of your own medicine! I want to show you what it feels like to be hunted by rogues, especially that bastard, Alpha Clause!"

"You're going to hunt us?" I asked in shock, but not fear, looking around the rogues that circled us, "I-Is this really happening?"

"Don't worry or be afraid, baby. I'll protect you and destroy Alpha Ross once and for all." Alpha Clause reassured me as he stepped closer to me.

"How?" I whispered to him, "You don't even have the Mirror of Wisdom anymore."

"I don't need it to fight him, besides, I've got these claws and my wolf form." He replied as he held up his hands, "So the truth is that I'm more powerful than him even though he's also a Lycan."

Alpha Ross laughed coldly as he gripped the collar of his jacket tightly, "What makes you think that you can beat me? Don't forget, we might both be Lycan werewolves, but I've gone rogue."

"That makes you even weaker! So it doesn't matter to me, Ross." Alpha Clause growled back, "You can either surrender yourself, or I will kill you right here, right now."

"Why should I surrender myself? I have you and your Luna mate surrounded by my rogues!" Ross hissed back angrily, "Surrender to me and I'll spare your lives."
