Chapter 72: Chapter 72

"And you, my dear, stay here and lock the door after me. I don't want to risk you getting hurt while I fight off the rest of the rogues." He said as he walked over to the door.

"I can't, Clause. I have to come with you." I replied with a concerned frown on my brows as I locked the door.

"Fine, let's go, my fiesty Fay." He breathed out as his lips tugged up into a smile.

"Sure." I replied to him with a small laugh as I walked out of the room with him, glad that he didn't protest.

Alpha Clause and I walked down the hall towards the living room where several men were shooting at the rogues.

"Stop!" He yelled as he ran into the living room, hitting several of the men with bullets from a gun that he pulled out of his pocket. One of the men fired a bullet at him, which hit his shoulder. He fell to his knees and grabbed his arm before he started bleeding.

"Damn it, stop shooting or I'll shoot you all myself." He growled in anger.

The rogues stopped firing and stepped back, letting us move in and attack them as he shifted into his Lycan form. In a minute, he has slashed, broken and beaten most of them to an unconconcious state.

"Here, you might need this." I said as I handed him a cloth from one of the cabinets there to hold against his wound.

"Thanks, my one." He said as he took it from me and pressed it against his wound.

"Is there anyone else in the house?" I asked him.

"No, I don't think so. Maybe there are other rogues here." He answered me just as more rogues started filing into the house.

"Crap! Let's go finish them off then." I said as the rogues rushed towards us.

"Right beside you, baby!" Alpha Clause muttered as he clenched hands into fists.

However, before either of us could attack, the door was kicked open and a man dressed in all black walked into the room. He walked over to us and stared at us before he spoke up, "I know you're both here, so come out now!" His voice echoed throughout the room.

"I'm not afraid of you." I said confidently.

"Oh yes, you are. You are afraid that I'll kill you which will make your mate leave you and make someone else his mate." He said with a smirk on his face.

"My mate wouldn't do such a thing. He loves me and would never leave me alone, especially with an enemy like you threatening us." I told him angrily.

"You're wrong, my little Luna. Your mate will betray you and run away with another female..." Alpha Ross started taunting me in his cold voice while staying hidden in the shadows.

"Shut the hell up, Alpha Ross! Stop feeding lies to my Luna mate!" Alpha Clause growled in anger as he rushed forward to finish off Alpha Ross once and for all.

I didn't wait for him to get any closer before I launched myself at Alpha Ross, grabbing him by the throat and slamming him into the wall. He screamed in pain and pushed me back, sending me crashing to the ground. Alpha Clause joined in on the fight after I had fallen to the floor, punching and kicking at him until he was knocked out.

"Why did you have to say such awful things about me to my Luna?" Alpha Clause yelled out as he held the almost unconscious Alpha Ross down on the floor.

"Because I know that no matter what happens, you'll always love your mate more than anything, even if she does leave you for another hewolf! I just want to see you suffer, but I guess you already are." Alpha Ross laughed as he looked at me before looking back at Alpha Clause.

"Leave my mate and my pack alone, Alpha Ross! You'll regret saying those words to her and killing my pack members, I promise you that." Alpha Clause warned him with narrowed eyes and a clenched jaw.

"Oh, I doubt that. By the time I'm done with you, you'll beg me to kill you. But for now, I think I should take my leave and go find a new pack to torment." Alpha Ross said as he stood up and started to walk towards the door.

"You're not going anywhere, Alpha Ross! We've finally got you in our grasp, so you're not slipping away again! You have to pay for your crimes!" Alpha Clause growled as he ran after him.

Alpha Clause caught up with him outside and tackled him to the ground. They wrestled around on the grass for a few seconds before Alpha Clause grabbed his shirt collar and glared at him as he threw a lunch at his kaw. "Now, I'm going to kill you, Alpha Ross. So don't you dare beg for mercy because there will be none." Alpha Clause threatened him as he extended his Lycan claws and pressed it to his throat.

"Don't! Please, don't kill me!" Alpha Ross begged for his life.

"I can't allow you to live knowing that you killed so many of our pack members and that you're trying to take over all packs, you evil scum." Alpha Clause growled.

"Please, I'll give you anything! Just don't kill me!" Alpha Ross pleaded, but Alpha Clause ignored him and pressed the claws harder against his neck.

"You have nothing to offer me!" He said as Alpha Ross struggled to get out of his hold.

"Oh, I do! I'll give you anything you want, just please don't kill me!" Alpha Ross begged, mockingly in a sarcastic way.

"Anything?" Alpha Clause asked suspiciously.

"Yes, anything! Anything you ask of me, I'll give it to you!" He said desperately, but it still sounded sarcastic to me.

"Like what?" Alpha Clause asked as he looked down at his enemy.

"I'll do anything you want me to! I'll do whatever you want, just please don't kill me!" He pleaded with desperation and barely any sign of mocking as Alpha Clause's claws drew blood from the skin on his neck.
