Chapter 71: Chapter 71

"Fine, let's get inside and question this hewolf." He replied, his face softening as he leaned closer to brush his lips against my forehead before moving back.

I nodded as I watched Alpha Clause drag the unconscious man into the pack house. I started heading towards the front door when I heard a loud bang. I turned around to see that a bullet had gone straight through the window and hit the wall behind me, just missing me. Alpha Clause had left the hewolf by the door and walked back out to fight again. He looked angry and worried as he glanced at me just before leaving.

"What the hell are they doing?" I asked myself as I stared at the windows.

"Bailey!" I yelled as I ran towards the kitchen where Bailey, Ron and Riley were hiding behind a table, looking terrified. There was another shot fired and it went right through the door. I got close enough to hear them yelling and screaming.

I rushed into the kitchen and saw Rachel pinned down by one of Alpha Ross's rogues that got into the pack house apart from the ones outside. I threw a kick at the rogue on his abdomen and he doubled over in pain, holding his tummy then turned around and jumped through the window to escape.

"Ron, Riley! Bailey! It's safe now, you can come out." I yelled.

Ron and Riley ran towards me as I knelt down in front of Rachel's head. "Rachel, are you okay?" I asked her, feeling concerned as a small frown fell on my brows.

"I'm fine, Luna, I just need to get to my room to rest." She said as she tried to sit up, holding her head.

"Let me help you." I said as I picked her up and carried her back to her bedroom where she lay down on the bed.

"Okay, thank you." She whispered, looking surprised at my strength, but grateful as I sat down beside her and held her hand.

I nodded with a reassuring smile.

"Luna, there are still some men left outside. We need to fight them." Ron said as he walked over to stand beside me.

"No, Ron, Alpha Clause and the pack warriors are outside fighting them. You need to stay here and be safe. They will finish them off soon and come inside too." I explained to him.

"But-"

"Please, Ron. Stay here with Bailey and the other younglings until they're done."

He nodded and sat down in a chair next to Rachel's bed.

After a few minutes, Alpha Clause came running into the room and knelt down beside me. "How is she?" He asked anxiously.

"She seems to be alright. She needs to go into her room and rest though." I replied.

"Alright, what about you? Are you okay, my one?" He asked as he looked me over.

"Yeah, I'm fine, but we need to focus on getting rid of these men. I'm sure the warriors will be coming inside soon."

"Come with me, I'll show you how to use a gun." He said as he stood up and walked out of the room. I looked around at the terrified pups and chuckled.

"Stay here and keep your wits about you. Let's hope they come inside soon," I said to them as I stood up and followed Alpha Clause out of the room.

"Where are we going?" I asked him.

"To getguns." He replied as he led me towards the back of the house, where I saw two cars and several men standing around them.

"What are those guys doing?" I asked as I looked around the corner to see them loading guns into the back of both cars.

"These men are going to be guarding our pack house from now on. We need to teach them how to shoot as well."

I nodded as I watched them load the guns into the cars. "Do you think they'll be okay?"

"I'm sure they will. We won't let anything happen to them or any of my pack members." Alpha Clause reassured me.

"Oh, we're going to get the guns from them?" I said as we started walking down the hall.

"Yeah."

As we approached the front door, there were several men inside the house looking out of the windows. He paused, making me stop as his head snapped up towards the stairs, "There's someone that's not one of us upstairs. Come with me this way, baby."

"Sure, honey." I replied to him as he led me to the stairs.

We reached the top floor and he opened the door to one of the rooms. Inside was a large, long bed with a woman lying on it.

"Who are you?" The woman asked as she sat upright and looked at us.

"What do you mean? Who are you? What are you doing in my pack house?" Alpha Clause asked her with a frown on his brows, looking offended.

"I am one of Alpha Ross's rogues that he forced to be part of this attack, but I got wounded. And who are you?" She asked as she stood up, holding her tummy and walked over to us.

"I'm Luna Fay and this is my Alpha mate, Alpha Clause." I answered as I looked at her with a suspicious look.

"You! You two are the Alpha and Luna of this pack?!" She asked with a gasp and look of shock before adding, "I'm so sorry for coming into your pack house and for attacking you! It was all against my will, Alpha Ross forced us to do as he says because he knows that we have no where to go as rogues. No pack will accept us"

"It's okay, we understand that you had no choice, but to attack us, and I can see that you're seriously injured. Now, why don't you lie down and take a nap? We need to get rid of these rogues first and help you get treated." Alpha Clause said as I walked over to the edge of the bed and pushed her back onto it, gently.

"Thank you, Alpha Clause and Luna Fay." She said as she laid back on the bed and closed her eyes, resting.
