I look at him. In both shock and pain. I finally destroyed the only thing that could save me.

"Please do not do this." He said begging me on his knees. "I promise I will be faithful and agree to be your equal but please do not reject me. "he said still begging on his knees like a little child. It felt so unreal for the big bad alpha to be on his knees in front of me in tears. I never thought I will see the day alpha Rain my big ego mate beg with his knees. if I knew it only takes rejecting his ass for him to change, I would have done it a long time ago.

I shook my head, it's too late now, I could never forgive him, I know he can't change, he was only begging for himself and the pain he was going to feel afterward.

"You are not what I want, right from the beginning and I'm not also what you wanted," I said to him.

"I can be what you want but please give me a chance." He said still kneeling and holding my knee.

His eyes looked angry, his face was red like was about to cry but he held himself. He stood up from the ground and I continue watching his reaction.

"I told you I do not want or need you!" I yelled back frustrated.

"You are a womanizer, you don't respect or treat women right, this will teach you a lesson. "I shot back.

My eyes were very puffy from crying and looking at the two hot girls, the blonde lady had a victorious smirk on her face while the brunette gave me a sad smile.

This was the reason I was rejecting him because he cheated on me and never waited for me as I did. He had sex with other girls and here treating me like shit.

I clicked whatever button on the elevator. I need to get out of there.

The doors closed. I leaned against the elevator wall. I felt a surge of sadness course through my whole body.

The door opened to the main lounge. People from the pack turned to look at my crying state.

I ran out the main lounge doors. The rain was pouring badly. Thunder started to strike. I ran into the wood. Not knowing where the hell I was going.

I hope he was happy and having awesome sex with those two ladies, for some reason I felt the image of him and the blond lady flash in my head. I felt myself fall to my knees. I cried more than I have ever cried in my whole life. This is the worst pain.

Started to lay me on the ground. I started to look up at the raining dark sky. I did not want to be part of this world anymore. Thunder striked harder. I knew deep inside I was nothing compared to the women that he had on his side, I wished I was strong enough to kill those women especially the blond bitch.

I could not yell back because my throat was too sore. I decided to close my eyes hoping that death will take me away. I felt the rain flooding the ground around me.

"I think I can smell her Christabel. "Ethan said.

Please don't find me. I did not want to go back to the packhouse.

I hear a gasp from Christabel.

"Emerald!" She yells. I can feel her kneeling right beside me. I can feel her hands on her face. I slowly open my eyes.

"What's wrong," Ethan asked panicking.

"I. ...i. r - rejected him," I say stuttering, the pain in my chest was unbearable and felt like death itself.

I felt my surroundings turning cold.

"Who!?" Ask Christabel asked unsurely. Who else will I reject apart from my mate?

" Alpha Rain ." I stuttering. I felt myself shivering. "H-he the. Dog cheated on me with two other beautiful women."

"Ethan we have to get her inside before she does something she regrets" I heard Christabel say.

"I will surely do something I will regret to that son of a bitch. "Ethan muttered under his breath.

Ethan's hands wrap around me to pick me up from the ground. I was shivering so much.

"How can your mate cheat on you, is the stupid" Christabel said in shock.

Ethan did not answer instead he took me inside the packhouse. I hid my face in Ethan's chest. I do not want people to see the embarrassment of finding out that I rejected my mate.

I could hear whispers coming from everyone. Ethan walked into the elevator. While Christabel pushed the R button to go to the top floor that was all mine

Whenever the elevator door opened and he carried me to my room still in his arms.

"She will be alright, she is a strong wolf. "I heard Christabel tell Ethan.

I slowly felt myself drift into a deep slumber.

I woke up to a dark room. I looked outside the sky was bright, but my life wasn't.

I saw Christabel come into my room.

"We need to talk." She said," will you reject your mate when you need him to breathe, did you catch him cheating on you."

I looked over at the window. Tears did not fall from my eyes. Is telling her going to solve my problems.

"Yes, I did."

What does it matter, I have rejected him so there's nothing I can do."

"Emerald tell me what happened?"

I looked over at her and smiled. I started to tell her about how I rejected him as a mate and the reason being. Also that he had two women with him who wanted to have a threesome with him.

"He is a total asshole." She says in anger. "Does he know that you have only less than two months left?

Those know that if you die he dies along with you."

I shook my head. I am glad he did not know because I want someone to love me for who I am not because of pity, or for him to mate with me just because he didn't want to die along with me"

"He thought I will forgive him, I could see him fighting the tears in his eyed. He didn't deny having sex with the two ladies, he disgust me. I never want to see his face ever again in my life."

Christabel smiled at me sadly. She hugged me, patting my back in comfort.

"My poor baby." She said. "What are you going to do now that you are mate-less, you know without your mate you will die, and the chances of getting a second chance mate is like me growing a mustache which is impossible."

I thought for a second. Now that I have no mate, surely I will die. What was I going to tell my pack? Should tell them who my mate is and that I rejected him because he cheated on me? Probably not a good option especially if I was to die soon.

"I just going to go back to that witch," I say looking down in sadness.

The witch who gave me the hourglass and who told me the only cure to my curse and sure she can also help me find another alternative that doesn't include me mating or carrying my ex-mate mark.

Carly started to look at me for a second.

"I am going to help you survive this emerald." She says. "I will help you take care of the pack till you are back. I know you will survive this because you are a warrior."

I look at her. "You will?" I ask.

She nods at me. I know I haven't been a good best friend this past few days but I was lucky to have Christabel in my life.

"I'm sorry for what I did yesterday."

"You are forgiven, now I know why you wanted to leave so badly and I understand, you also have to forgive me for pushing you and not thinking about you first as I had promised before finding my mate."

I nodded my head giving her a soft smile. I knew it wasn't her fault.

"I love you more Emerald, please don't forget that. We are in this together, promise. “she said bringing out her pinky finger for me to swear on just like we do back when we were younger.
