Chapter 149: Chapter 149
The guards were terrified and cooperated with the local police to search for the two people’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, amid the chaos, Blossom Haven in Country Y remained peaceful.
Nathaniel Green looked at the man coming out of the swimming pool and couldn’t help but ask, "Young Master, with the Young Madam’s whereabouts unknown, why aren’t you worried?"
"She is obviously hiding. Hiding means she’s avoiding the eyes of an assassination attempt. That’s good news, so why worry?"
"But right now, she’s being pursued abroad with full force. Aren’t you afraid they’ll be caught?"
Jacob Green sat on the bench, turning his head to look at him, "Since your Young Madam decided to do this, it means she’s prepared for the worst and has long-term plans in mind. We must trust her ability."
Seeing his calm demeanor, Nathaniel Green briefly wondered if he was still the wife-loving man he knew.
"Young Master, are you really not worried about the Young Madam?"
"Young Master, have you been possessed by something unclean?" The contrast was too stark.
Jacob Green gave him a sidelong glance, "Itching for a beating?"
"Hehe, I’m just joking."
"Go about your business and keep people updated on the overseas developments at all times."

Lying on the bench, Jacob Green stared at the sky. To say he wasn’t worried was a lie; he just didn’t want to show it in front of his subordinates.
What she’s determined to do, he couldn’t stop her. Since she wanted this, he would let her have her way. Regardless of who she’s protecting, he would protect her.
Grace Hughes and Stellan Quinn were working together in Arthur Bennett’s courtyard. Knowing that Stellan Quinn had gotten close to Arthur Bennett, Grace Hughes, as her close friend, felt uneasy.
Both men had prestigious statuses and were already married. Why couldn’t Jacob Green see it clearly?
Look at Arthur Bennett, with his orderly home life and colorful outside life, how well he lived.
"Grace, what are you thinking?" Stellan Quinn asked in a low voice as she approached from behind.
Grace Hughes snapped out of her thoughts and continued sweeping, "Thinking about your affairs."
Her words were interrupted by Stellan Quinn, "How many times have I told you, stop calling me that name. I’m Laura now."
"Alright, alright, shall I call you little Laura from now on?"
"You’re the little pig."
Grace Hughes laughed, "Little Laura, is that okay?"
Stellan Quinn hit her, "It sounds awful."
After a little playfulness, Stellan Quinn asked, "You said earlier you were thinking about my matters, what about them?"
"Let me finish this work first, and then I’ll tell you."
Grace Hughes efficiently finished sweeping and led her back to her place.
Due to Arthur Bennett’s arrangements, their rooms were adjacent, both single rooms.
As soon as the door closed, Grace Hughes said, "Stellan, it’s not easy to eliminate Lucy Eaton unless you take Flora Palmer’s place; it’s very difficult. I suddenly thought, doesn’t your brother like Flora Palmer? Why not use this hand to bring Flora Palmer down from the Great Princess Consort’s position?"
Upon hearing her words, Stellan Quinn instantly understood, "But my brother has tried to contact her privately, and she put his number on the blacklist."
"Although your brother’s identity is exposed, didn’t you say his grandparents treat him very well? Lucy Eaton is the Prime Minister’s daughter. If Flora Palmer is caught cheating, Your Highness will hate the Baker Clan even more. A sullied reputation doesn’t befit Flora Palmer’s title, does it?"
"Grace, you’re so smart." Stellan Quinn was a bit excited, "This is a double-edged sword. If successful, it not only brings Flora Palmer down but also makes Your Highness resent the Baker Clan more, to Lucy Eaton’s disadvantage."
"Moreover..." Grace Hughes whispered in her ear, "if you could become pregnant with Your Highness’s child, the Great Princess Consort’s position would be secure."
"He’s very cautious with safety measures, so I can’t get pregnant."
"No measure is 100% foolproof; just a little trick can achieve the goal."
"Then how should I do it?"
"I have a way to let you get pregnant and simultaneously bring Flora Palmer down."
Stellan Quinn quietly listened to her detailed plan, amazed at Grace Hughes’s cleverness.
After ten at night, Stellan Quinn heard that Arthur Bennett was still busy with official duties, so she brought him a late-night snack.
As she reached the entrance, Arthur Bennett’s subordinate quietly told her, "The Great Princess Consort is here, please leave."
Stellan Quinn frowned, "Why is she always with His Highness?"
The subordinate’s mouth twitched slightly, "She is His Highness’s rightful wife."
Stellan Quinn turned and left with the snack, saying nothing more.
Grace Hughes saw her return so soon and asked, "Didn’t His Highness eat?"
"No, because Flora Palmer was there, I didn’t go in."
"Didn’t you say she had lunch with him too? Why is she still there at this hour?"
"Who knows." Stellan Quinn showed displeasure.
"Why don’t you mention it privately to Your Highness the next time you see him?"
"I’d better not. He won’t be happy. He needs me to play a well-behaved and obedient role. If I overstep, what if he stops looking for me?"
"How could that be?" Grace Hughes didn’t think so, "I think he likes you quite a bit. Why do you think, out of all the beautiful maids in this courtyard, he chose only you?"
"Looks like Flora Palmer is staying with him tonight; we should sleep early."
Grace Hughes stopped her, "Silly, don’t sleep."
"It’s so late, he won’t come."
"I have a way to make him come."
Stellan Quinn’s eyes lit up, "Really?"
"Of course." Grace Hughes said confidently, "Just follow my plan."
"Knock, knock, knock."
Arthur Bennett, who had just closed a folder, asked in a slightly low voice, "What is it?"
"Your Highness, urgent matter."
"Come in and report."
The subordinate opened the door, glanced at Flora Palmer on the sofa, walked to Arthur Bennett’s side, and whispered in his ear, "Laura fell off the ladder and got injured."
"Noted, you can leave."
"Yes, Your Highness."
Arthur Bennett stood up and told his wife, "I have an urgent matter to handle; you go back to your room and sleep."
Flora Palmer looked up at him, her eyes glimmering, but she didn’t ask anything, only replied, "Okay."
She got up and left his office area. As soon as she left, Arthur Bennett went to Stellan Quinn’s room.
Stellan Quinn was lying in bed, looking unwell.
"Climbing ladders so late at night?"
"Your Highness, I’m sorry. I wanted to climb the tree in the yard using the ladder, but the ladder slipped..."
"How can you be so naughty as a grown-up?" Arthur Bennett asked as he sat by the bed, "Is the injury serious?"
