Chapter 101: Chapter 101
While Grace was eating, she noticed Stellan’s eyes were red. "Stellan, have you been crying?"
"I went to see Jacob Green, but he wouldn’t see me."
"You knew he wouldn’t see you, yet you still went to find him." Grace poured her a cup of tea. "Your mom’s in big trouble. The other party is the Prime Minister. Even if Jacob Green wanted to help, he might not be able to."
"He can’t possibly be unable to help. Lucy married Nathaniel Green, and Nathaniel is his subordinate." Stellan Quinn’s nose tingled, "My dad and I can’t even see my mom, and we don’t know her current situation. Grace, you know what? I read the comments online. They say my mom might get the death penalty."
"Death penalty? That’s unlikely, usually it’s a few years or, at worst, a decade or so. How could it be so severe?"
Stellan shook his head, "I feel so uncertain. My dad tried to contact my half-brother, Mason Baker, but he directly told my dad he’s like a clay Bodhisattva crossing a river, unable to protect even himself, unable to help with this."
"Unless Lucy helps, your mom might get a lighter sentence; otherwise, there’s really no way."
"How would she help? It’s impossible."
"I think so too. She probably won’t agree to help you. Since that’s the case, we can only leave it to fate."
"Grace, I regret it so much." Stellan covered his face with his hands and started crying. "If our family hadn’t completely offended Jacob Green, even if my mom was taken away, he would have found a way to save her. I used to think he wasn’t a big deal, but now I realize he’s very important."
"Isn’t it too late to say anything now? What’s the use of saying this?" Grace put down her chopsticks. "Unless you can find a way to date the President’s son, there might be a chance to save your mom."
"The President’s son?" Stellan looked at her with teary eyes. "How could I possibly meet the President’s son?"
Grace laughed, "Don’t dream about that. He lives in the Presidential Mansion, heavily guarded. How could you meet him?"
Stellan’s eyes darkened, "That’s indeed the case."
"Don’t panic. When the first trial opens, you’ll know the sentence for your mom."
Stellan felt a lot better after hearing her words. "I hope my mom is only sentenced to a fixed term, otherwise, I will never forgive Lucy Eaton for the rest of my life."
Grace comforted her, "Relax, I feel like it won’t be that serious."
Just less than twenty-four hours after she spoke, news emerged the next day that Autumn Fletcher and Oliver Eaton’s case was progressing rapidly.
The court announced the trial date, surprisingly only three days later.
Insiders revealed online that the case alerted the President, who instructed a swift investigation.
During those three days, the Ainsworth Family couldn’t hold back anymore and repeatedly came to the hospital to find Lucy, but they were all escorted out by hospital security.
They still didn’t give up. Initially, it was Oliver Eaton’s wife leading the way, and later, even the Ainsworth Family elders got involved.
All just to save their son.
After security repeatedly drove them away, the Ainsworth elder directly lay on Lucy’s car hood when she got off work, forcing her to get out.
Lucy didn’t get out of the car but called the police.
When the police arrived, the hospital entrance was blocked by the crowd.
Using the disturbance as a reason, all the Ainsworth Family were taken to the police station for questioning.
Lucy went home smoothly.
If before she had even a tiny bit of gratitude for the elders, now she only felt hatred towards the family.
No matter how much trouble they caused, she wouldn’t soften one bit.
Three days later, on the day of the trial, the detained Ainsworth Family members were released.
The entire national media was focused on the trial outcome.
Lucy Eaton even attended the trial wearing a mask and hat with her biological parents.
The judge announced the sentence: Autumn Fletcher and Oliver Eaton were sentenced to death for heinous child abduction charges, to be executed immediately, with all their assets confiscated, and political rights revoked for life.
As soon as the judge finished speaking, Autumn Fletcher was so scared she lost control, and Oliver Eaton’s legs gave way, unable to stand.
The Quinns and Ainsworth Family members burst into tears.
Especially Stellan Quinn, who glared fiercely in Lucy Eaton’s direction, eyes full of hatred.
Autumn Fletcher and Oliver Eaton were then taken to the execution ground to serve their sentence.
As they were about to leave, Autumn Fletcher turned back to gaze longingly at her daughter and husband one last time, regrettably turned her head again.
She had been greedy, taking risks for her son’s future, not expecting that her son wouldn’t even come to see her one last time.
Reflecting on herself, from a rural woman to a high-society madam, then from a madam to a death row inmate, truly a lament from the bottom of her heart.
Facing death, she realized how valuable life is.

After confirming Autumn Fletcher and Oliver Eaton’s death, Lucy Eaton left the courthouse with her parents through the back door, avoiding the reporters.
Jackson Baker didn’t return to Blossom Haven; he went back to Northriver due to official duties, leaving Liora Hughes behind.
At home, seeing her mother, Liora Hughes asked worriedly, "Mom, do you feel unwell anywhere?"
"No, just drowsy, feeling tired with slight movements." She slowly sat up from the bed, "Is the verdict out?"
"It is. Autumn Fletcher and Oliver Eaton were sentenced to death and executed immediately."
The elderly lady nodded, "A great relief, such wicked people shouldn’t be treated leniently, or they would rise again like spring breeze sprouting anew. My heart is greatly comforted, relieving my grudge."
Liora Hughes, holding her hand, asked again with concern, "Mom, you don’t look well, lacking energy. Are you really not feeling unwell?"
"Liora," the old lady called softly, "I may not be able to accompany you often in the future, but with Lucy around, I’m at ease."
Hearing this, Liora Hughes cried, "Mom, don’t say that. I don’t want to hear it."
"Birth, old age, sickness, and death are natural. Everyone faces it. Don’t dwell on or cling to it too much." She smiled, "We still have some time."
Despite her words, Liora still felt extremely uncomfortable.
"But I can’t bear to lose you..."
"Life is such, just accept it. If you keep weeping , even if I go, I won’t be at peace. I’d rather see you smile as you send me off from this world."
"Okay, I won’t cry anymore." Liora forced a slight smile.
"There’s something I want to tell you while I’m clear-headed."
"In the room where I sleep, there’s a hidden compartment on the inner side of the bed, with a button under the pillow. Go fetch the box from the compartment. Don’t open it, you’ll know what it is when you bring it."
Liora nodded, "Okay, I’ll get it for you right away."
