Chapter 29: Chapter 29

Hudson locked his gaze on the woman. They are currently staying in a rest house that he owns in Batangas. Last night, he avoided and dodged his attackers, but they also struck his car several times causing him wounds on his head. He wouldn't have realized Abhaya was in back compartment and unconscious if he hadn't picked up the hidden high-grade gun in the back compartment placed in a case when he arrived at his resthouse.

Damn! He must have designed his own handcuff such that only his thumbprint or voice could open it. But, yeah, here is it. Fortunately, the severe concussion did not have a negative impact on her brain.

He was aware that Abhaya was capable of fighting, but he was certain that he could save himself without the assistance of others. He didn't require her assistance. Not any longer. He shrugged and sat on the sofa, looking at his injured fist. Before, he did not take the person who was against him seriously but now, they will see how devil is he. The real game is began!

ABHAYA walked around in circled numerous times. She don't even feel hungry at all. She ponders. The throng penetrated her mind in the same way that Hudson's opponents learned of his departure. Have they been tracking as well? She realized last night, during the firing and chase, that those were no longer warning shots. She was well aware that Hudson's opponents were eager to assassinate him, something she would not allow. She lay down on the bed with a headache and glanced at the ceiling. What will be her next step?

When she remembered the gun Jacky had given her, she immediately stood up. She needs it in case the opponent follows them and she needs to talk to Yx. She look into the entire room, but she didn't have the gun she was looking for, so she had no choice but went to Hudson in the living room.

She couldn't find the young Doctor there. She went up to the second floor again and knocked on the two rooms, but no one answered. She got down and left the house. She turned to look around, but Hudson was nowhere to be found. His broken car was all she can see.

They don't even have a neighbor. She can only see coconuts and bushes. She caught a glimpse of the calm stroke of the sea on the sand in the distance. She cracked a small smile. Weirdly, she enjoys going to the beach because it relaxes her mind and relieves stress.

When she got tired of staring at the sea, she went back into the house. She went straight to the kitchen. She noticed the man sitting on a stool, complacently assembling a high caliber gun. In front of him is a case full of ammo.

She went directly to the refrigerator and opened it quietly. When she saw that the refrigerator was full, she delighted. She assumed the fridge was full of water and... Wait, she abruptly stopped just as she was about to pick up the pitcher. Whose house is this?

"This is my rest stop."

She didn't respond. She drank the water straight from the pitcher. She looks like she didn't drunk water in over a year. She also decided to cook food for herself that afternoon. Her stomach worms have begun fighting each other, and she doesn't think it's right for her to kill enemies on an empty stomach; she needs to cook and eat. She fixed her nightgown. She was aware that she was still wearing the night gown she wore last night. Thankfully, she is wearing a bra.

She cooked rice in the rice cooker while preparing ham, sunny rise up eggs, and bacon. She's literally hungry! She forgot to eat last night because she was preoccupied with how to keep the doctor she was guarding from leaving.

When she opened the cupboard, she took a mug only to stop when she realized Hudson might also want to drink coffee, so she took two. She had no trouble finding coffee because the cream and sugar were already in the cupboard. She brewed coffee quietly, knowing it didn't like creamer. She mixed it with sugar before placing it on the table.

"Your coffee," she said.

She then ate the rice that she had spooned into the rice cooker. She was dying to death in front of Hudson since she was so hungry! She no longer invited him since she knew he wouldn't eat her food. Hudson is a finicky eater who like Italian cuisine. He's also a coffee addict!

She just ate and ate before sipping the practically milky coffee. When you're starving, food can taste delicious. It was only then that she realized how good the ham tasted.

She was taken aback for a second when she realized Hudson was staring at her carefully. The wounds on his forehead and hand were still fresh, she saw. She couldn't read his thinking, so she ignored him and kept eating. She decided to quit after three mouthfuls and dropped the spoon and fork before standing up.

He left the room, and when she returned, Hudson was eating from the same plate she was using. He's eating really fast, like if he hasn't eaten in a year. What's going on? Her nose was smoky.

"Hudson!"

He pretended he didn't do anything and, simply drank his coffee. Hudson pretended he hadn't noticed her and returned to his attention to his gun. She silently rolled her eyes as she walked over to his side and grabbed Hudson's hand without saying anything. He swiftly yanked it back, but her grasp was firm, and she stared at him to death, despite the fact that she knew it wouldn't work on him.

"Stop it—"

"Shut up," she said, interrupting whatever he was about to say, and began washing it with alcohol from the medicine box she was carrying, which she knew Hudson had used to clean her wound earlier in the day.

She cleansed his entire injured hand and wrapped it in a bandage. She also cleaned his wounded forehead. She hardly pressed the cotton ball with a lot of alcohol on him for abandoning her yesterday.

He exclaims, "Hey!"

"Stop!" she exclaimed emphatically. She noticedt the strain in his face and the clenching of his other hand. "Don't move if you don't want me to press all this cotton with alcohol in your eyes!" Despite this, she continued to press the cotton against his wounded forehead. She chuckled secretly.

AT THAT EVENING, Abhaya decided to take a bath. She feels dirty, and she didn't feel at ease in it. After shower, she had just wiped her hair with a white towel and wrapped it in her headl. She also washed her undies and bras, as well as her nightwear. Since the fabric is linen and lace, she knows it'll dry quickly. She put it in front of the air conditioner. She refused to put on any of Hudson's clothes. She only wrapped her body with white towel.

She was simply laying on the bed, her arm resting on her forehead. She was staring at the ceiling, oblivious to the fact that lethargy was luring her away. She was only able to rise after hearing a big bang on the door below. She popped up to be just getting out of bed to get dressed when Hudson rushed into her room and yanked her hand away from the door without saying anything.

My panties, hold on a second!

She wanted to scream, but the young doctor dragged her away. She wrapped the towel across her breast tightly because if it fell loose, shit! She didn't want to run about naked.

"They've here," he announced without any fear in his voice.

Merde! Her brain screams.

When she notices that they are in the guest room, Hudson orders her to go up to the window. Shit! Is he going to push her? Is this what he's trying to do now?

"Pick up the rope. They won't see you from there," he said.

She was able to say yes in a flash. She scrambled up the window and, sure enough, there was a rope, so she clutched to it as she plummeted from the second storey of the house. She had a safe fall in the back of the house. When her foot landed on the sand, she quickly hid in the darkness. She was so unhappy with the situation that she didn't even bring a gun with her.

She raised her eyes to the guest room and waited for the young doctor to come down. When she heard many footsteps walking inside the house, she was startled. She's sniffing danger at that time, and she was right, for when Hudson stepped off the rope, she heard an irate voice screaming inside.

“Bullshit! Find them. ”

"Kianna!" Hudson hold her hand away and immediately grabbed her into the car so they could escape.

Hudson instantly starts the car engine. She grabbed a revolver from his waistband and braced herself for whatever might come. She doesn't care how weird she looks right now, but she doesn't have time for that; she'll figure out where to find undergarments later.

Someone followed them right away. She instantly took the driving wheel from the man, and they reversed positions despite his protests. He's now in the back seat, and she had the steering wheel in her hands. When she looked at Hudson, she smirked and turned on the radio loudly.

She stepped on the gear and the car pulled straight up, Ruben's song 'Melancholia' soared just right. She is ready. A volley of bullets followed, as she had predicted, but she simply chuckle at the situation.

She open the side window and shot the enemies with her one hand. She fired three shots, one of which struck the driver, and they were stranded in the middle of the cement road. She heard Hudson swear several times, and he response with a shota in the back, much like her.

"Danger, Hudson!"

"Put up your hands and drive."

He grinned. "As you like, Doc." She ceased from shooting at the opponent who was following them. She hold the steering wheel tightly. "Doc Hayes, fasten your seat belt. We're off to hell!" She smirked foolishly as she looked at him, and without saying anything, she make the car fly.

She was so focused on sprinting that she didn't see the knot of the towel on her breast unraveling. She screamed when it finally slipped from her breast, revealing the gem she was hiding.

"Don't look at me!" she screamed in terror.

"I'm not interested in your body.”

Her head was flooded with blood. So, does that mean she's unattractive? As if she didn't know that he's almost crazy on her body. She shook on that thought. She wasn't sure whether she'd be delighted or offended by his comment.

Shit! Abhaya temporarily slowed down the car. The enemies are no longer following them. She then stop the car and fix the towel in its knot. She began driving the car again.

Is there a storm? That's what she was thinking. She attempted to speak with Jackylyn on the other end of the line, but no one responded. She's hoping everything turns out good and Jacky survives since she won't be able to forgive herself if she doesn't.

She cast a backward glance at Hudson. For a brief while, his eyes were closed and he appeared to be contemplating. Then his cellphone in the pocket rang, he immediately took it. Someone has called. Abhaya returned her gaze on the road. She's not happy that they'd eluded their pursuers 'coz she knew that wasn't the end of the story.

"I'm fine, man. It means nothing to me."

Her brow furrowed in response to what it stated. Even though the rain was pouring heavily outside, her hearing remained strong, and she could plainly hear the man's words.

"There's no need. I'll return your call. Anyway, I already had a lead. I hacked thousands of people using Travis in the last few weeks."

She was still listening. She believes it's Cuhen Malcogn.

"My opponent is fucking serious to kill me, but don't worry, Cuhen mate, I've got this. I know who's behind it now. ”

He's knows already?!

Does it mean, Hudson outnumbered them? Oh yeah, she has forgotten. Dr. Hudson Herrence Hayes, who graduated as Suma Cum Laude abroad and has a high IQ. He's a robot, not a human.

Because of the heavy rain, Abhaya was obliged to pull over to the side of the road. She thinks they're in middle of the woods. She didn't recognize the location she had entered because she was in a hurry to drive. She simply shrugged and turned off the car's headlights. She also turned off the air conditioning. Hudson had already tossed his cellphone on the edge of the chair and rested his arm on his forehead while lying back.

She rolled her eyes and brushed it off. It was only then that she realized she was still wearing a towel on her head. She took it off quickly and combed her hair with her hand. The fervour of the lightning and thunder nearly blinded her.

She silently sighed as she remembered that she used to be terrified of lightning and thunder, but not any longer. She believe she has overcome her phobia. Her eyes glowed with melancholy as she remembered the past, but she swiftly removed it from her thoughts. She was sick of traveling back and forth between pages.

She looked out the window, the darkness that had spread throughout each area and the savagery of the rain.. She took a long breath. She felt a pang of pain in the corner of her heart and couldn't figure out what it was for.

"Put this on."

When Hudson handed her his leather jacket, she look at him. She didn't say anything. She is unsure whether she will accept it or not. She opted for the latter. "There's no need."

"I know you're naked beneath that towel," he replied coldly, throwing stares at her, which she promptly caught. "In the first place you shouldn't be here, Ms. Trunt."

"Are you insane?" she retorted angrily, "You dragged me earlier."

"Well yeah! You're not fit to be a bodyguard. After all, you're a burden. ”

Bull's eye. It's like she had been struck across the face with his razor-sharp tongue. In any case, Hudson knows how to damage her by using words. But not anymore!

"I take it as a compliment, Doctor Hayes." She then grabbed his jacket and put it on.

His jacket almost covered her. She smelled it and she was taken aback to smell his favorite perfume from then and today.

She unwrapped the towel that had been wrapped around her body inside, and she breathed more freely, but not fully, because she was naked inside. When lightning and thunder struck again, Abhaya decided to relax and they would go when the rain stopped. She reclined back in the car seat and closed her eyes slowly until she fell asleep then she was visited by flashbacks...

ABHAYA checked her phone to see whether Hudson had texted her. Two weeks have passed since they have sex, and whether she admits it or not, her body is searching for him. She didn't get a message or a phone call from him. She simply exclaimed and glanced at her personal computer.

When Freia touched her, she commented, "You look like a dead batt."

She only stared her and returned her gaze to the screen. She recalls the moment continuously, she gave all to the man her body her like a fool. Is it really necessary for her to wait for something? Like miracle?

"Oh my goodness! Girl, look! He's hot!"

"What?" she retorted, irritated.

“Look! Our big boss is with a very attractive man, and goodness, the hook of my bra is loosening! The scorching!”

She suddenly became nervous. Really? In her opinion, no one else was as attractive as Hudson. She immediately look around just to be surprised.

"Is Ms. Sahada present?" A baritone voice she heard, and she recognized it's Mr. Cuhen Malcogn.

She abruptly stood up. God! "Yes, boss? I'm here," she couldn't stare him. She simply bowed her head. She became uncomfortable and trembled.

"Doctor Hayes requires your assistance."

She immediately looked up, and there she saw the man she had been thinking about. She was taken aback when she saw his gorgeous drop deadly handsome face. He just looked at her with a serious expression on its face.

"Come with me." He said, and they turned away.

She was caught off guard. Freia, on the other hand, was soaked in salt like a worm, and she shivered as she followed them.

"Good luck, girl."

Good luck? Her heart almost stop.

They end up dining together in a posh restaurant. Her boss Mr. Malcogn already left. She clung to the menu since she was awkward in her seat. She'd lost the self-confidence she'd always exuded. There's a lot pf questions entered her mind, as though that's why Hudson is here now. Was he missing her as much as she was missing him?

"You're trembling," he said.

She took a glace. His gaze remains fixed on the menu he's reading. "My first." she said shyly.

"Okay." He drop the menu. "Be my guest, my shoot."

She flushed unexpectedly as a result of the aforementioned shoot. She recalled how many times he claimed her, and how many times she had felt the hot liquid he discharged into her.

She only then ordered a salad since she wasn't hungry. Who would want to dine in front of a man who had so easily taken her heart?

"I have something to offer."

"Huh?"

"We both know we like what happened, and I am the first person you've ever let. Abhaya, be my fucking buddy I want you as a woman. I want you to complete and warm me in bed. Be my player."

She became red when she heard what he said. What?! She was unable to speak right away. She had no idea this was the man's plan for her. Her heart swelled with rage, but when her gaze fell on his green eyes, she nodded hypnotically.

"I'm... I'm ready to play."

Goodness! You're stupid, you're stupid.

And that's how their not-so-love tale began...

SHE WAS awakened by a gentle pat on the cheek. She blinked up her eyes and shook her head as she recalled nightmares about her relationship with Hudson. She is constantly reminded of her folly.

She initially observed that the sun had recently passed through the sky. It was early in the morning, and she gazed forward. She was startled to see a fallen tree and several broken branches obstructing the path in front of them. She exited by opening the door. She looked around; they were in the middle of the woods. She began to walk on her own two feet. She was used to it, so she simply walked. She had no idea if Hudson had followed.

"Where's your phone?" she asked, turning to him. He was already perched on the hood of the car, staring at her.

"Why?"

"I'm going to call someone," she said.

"No."

She almost want to punch him. She'll simply call Yx to rescue them with a chopper. It is risky for them to go without a car. They couldn't cross since a huge tree was blocking the path. It's a good thing it didn't land on them.

She simply ignored what he said. Because of the severe rain, the road she was walking on was muddy. Her other hand was clutching the gun, when Abhaya felt her body float in the air.

"What!" she yelled angrily, "Put me down, you asshole!"

Hudson just merely stared at her with his bored eyes and didn't say anything. He stepped up like a husband carrying his wife. She punch his chest.

"Stop it," he said angrily. "Or, I'll drop you right now."

"Its my life! Put me down!"

"There are times I want to stop you with my lips."

Her brow furrowed in response of what he said, "If you want me to murder you, then be my guest." and she give him a dead looks.
