Chapter 13: Chapter 13
When they met that day, he told Farhistt, "Release the old man."
"Okay." He took out his phone and dialed the number for Don Hernandez bodyguard. He turned to look at him when he heard him talking. "He'd like to talk to you, Cuhen." Farhistt handed him the phone.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Malcogn, and I would have asked you to have my daughter's safety. Don't hand her over to Mr. Vergan. Though I know Kleve will not harm her, I don't want my most cherished child to go to the criminal; I love her so much, and as a father, I want the best for her."
He couldn't make out what it said. Silently, he laughed. Don Hernandez must have been a moron when he entrusted his daughter to him. Does it not realize how many times he has claimed his daughter?
"Ellah loves Kleve a lot, but I don't want her to repent later."
He paused for a moment after the first thing he said, then shook his head. Love?
"Okay." He was about to put the phone down when it began to speak again.
"Would you please tell her how much I love her? Mr. Malcogn, please take care of my daughter and bid her my farewell. Thank you very much." Also, disconnect the other line.
He shook his head and handed the phone to Farhistt. He didn't have time for drama.
He began to move quietly. If he was interrogated, he would want to kill Kleve right away. But, instead, he began digging the root, and he knows Kleve comrades murdered his wife. He decided to go after them one by one. He then kills the biggest boss in order to finish the game Kleve started. But he wasn't expecting to learn that Don Hernandez had been murdered. The two bodyguards he gave him to protect him were useless because on his very own bed, where it was sleeping, was being murdered.
He simply nod at what he discovered. It gave him even more reason to kill Kleve right away.
He placed the cup he was holding on his room's side table, went to bed, and lay down. He needs to get some rest. He'll be back tomorrow to resume the job he left for a while to exact revenge on Kleve. He didn't care if they were related or not. If the blood was darker than his own, it couldn't be weighed against him.
He'd been staring at the ceiling for quite some time when he heard a loud crash from the other room. Damn! He dashed across the other room. Ellah was clinging to the side table and adjusting to stand, which surprised him.
When she called his name, he frowned and turned his back to go back to his room.
"Cuhen...
He clenched his fist and walked away from her.
ELLAH fights back her tears. She accidentally fell. She didn't notice she was on the side of the bed as she turned. Her hip ached, but her heart ached even more. She wanted to thank Cuhen for rescuing her from Kleve's clutches, but she lacked the courage to do so. Fear continues to eat away at her.
She sighed and proceeded to the garden. She was gone for two weeks here on this island, and whether she admits it or not, she missed the flowers and the peaceful atmosphere. She was sitting on the log bench, remembering the day Cuhen was with her in the middle of the garden.
"Hello, lovely!"
She moved her gaze to the source of the voice. She saw another Greek god, and if Cuhen hadn't been the first one she saw, her panties would have fallen off in its majesty. Why are there scattered Greek gods on the island today? Is it possible that Cuhen and she are both dead and in heaven?
"My name is Azael Aadi Legrand." He sat down beside her and did not hesitate to extend his hand for a handshake.
"Am I dead?" she wondered inwardly, unable to take her gaze away from it. Not even try to take his hand.
He laughed stupidly. “No. I''m just so handsome that you could mistake me for a very attractive angel."
"All right," she said, returning her gaze to the center of the garden. She came to a halt for a brief moment when her gaze was drawn to the mango tree in front of her, which was laden with fruit. Her mouth began to water as a result of what she saw. She jumped to her feet and ran for it. She wishes she could eat even just two of them. Even two would suffice!
"Would you like a mango this early?"
She was taken aback when she realized the man was following her. She responded with a quick nod. He scratched his chin and smiled. She can't climb the mango tree because her body is weak and she might fall.
Joy was reflected on her face when Azael climbed the mango. He gave her just two mango fruits. He even peeled the mango on her request, and the sauce it brought was soy sauce and sugar, just as she had requested.
"Here's your order, beautiful princess." Azael jokingly kneeled in front of her, making her laugh. She was nice to Azael because he exuded happiness and smiles all the time.
"Thank you very much, Azael!"
The man was simply relieved to watch her eat the mango. She now thinks mangoes are delicious, especially when they're raw. She also had no intention of giving Azael anything because she wanted everything for herself.
"I'm glad you're okay." He cracked a grin.
She didn't say anything. She simply continued to eat mangoes until none left. She was even taken aback when he reached out and gently squeezed her cheek.
"You remind me of my little sister," he said solemnly, and a sad dull flashed across his eyes.
“Fuck! Azael Aadi, get your filthy hands off her."
When she looked at it, she sighed at the angry expression on Cuhen's face. Its big steps are now on their way. His appearance is dark, and he can eat a person at any time.
Azael laughed and walked away from her, mumbling. "Hello, Cuhen! What's going on? When you beat your half-brother, you abandoned me on the island, ah! You asshole!"
She was simply silent. Azael was with Cuhen during the raid last night. What actually happened on the island? Did they kill everyone there? How are their families doing? Didn't they even give those people a second chance, even though they admitted they were bad?
"Please excuse me." She dashed away and into the room. However, in her haste, she tripped over on her way. She's a moron! The pain in her knee temporarily blinded her.
"How come you're so stupid?" Cuhen was right behind her. She was completely unaware of his quick approach.
She jumped to her feet, but her body immediately lifted into the air. Cuhen picked her up and she freely examined his face for the second time. Her heart felt like it was pounding as she watched him. She was in pain and didn't know why.
"C-cuhen," she called out to him.
It didn't even bother looking at him. While she was in his arms, it continued to take steps towards the stairs. She gave a bitter smile. Her hatred and abhorrence for it has vanished. She thought her feelings for him would fade, but she now believes they have grown stronger. But there's a catch: Cuhen doesn't love her back.
"T-thank you," she said as she closed her eyes. She didn't want to see its reaction, so she braced herself. She had no idea what Cuhen's plan was for her now.
"Don't be," he said emphatically.
She did not respond. Until she gently placed her on her room's bed.
"We'll pay your father a visit tomorrow."
"Can I return to my old life?"
His gaze was fixed on her, as if he was considering what she had said. He took a long time to respond, "No." Then he stormed out.
