Chapter 12: Chapter 12
She'd rather have a Cuhen Malcogn claim her than Kleve, whom she thought she knew his true nature but was mistaken about.
Suddenly, the door opened, and the man she had just called came to her aid. She quickly hugged herself, covering her nakedness.
Cuhen!
She cried.. Not because of fear, but because of joy. She wanted to run up to him and hug him, but she didn't have any reason to, so she was content to hug herself.
"Fuck!" Kleve angrily yelled and pulled out a gun, but Cuhen's gun was already pointed at him.
"The last time I checked, I beat you up and gave you a few days to mourn the loss of your businesses. But now it's time for me to charge. Blood against blood." Cuhen smiled dangerously.
Kleve smirked and fired a gun at Cuhen and Ellah covered her ears. Cuhen immediately avoid and shot Kleve in the hand with his gun. Kleve screamed out in agony. She felt sorry for Kleve, but it didn't take away her rage and disgust for him.
"Business and money are replaceable; life is not." Cuhen was about to pull the trigger on the gun when she intervened.
She burst out crying. "Cuhen, no!" She exclaimed, not wanting his hand to be tainted. She couldn't bear the thought of him killing. She now understands everything that has now happened.
"Even if you offer your life to stop that man Ellah, nothing can stop me now from killing him,"
She stared at him, unable to understand the meaning of the emotions in his eyes.
"The game is over," he declared emphatically. He was surrounded by dark auras.
"You are not the law, Cuhen!" she exclaimed emphatically as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"You're right, I'm not the law, but if you don't leave your body, I'll shoot you along with him."
For the first time, she noticed veins emerging from Cuhen's neck and sharpening his eyes. While she couldn't understand what it said. She wanted to laugh in sorrow; after all, who said Cuhen was going to save her? She simply did not want to see someone killed in front of her.
It was as if her heart was splintered with pain. Why is she in so much pain? She knew she wasn't important to Cuhen here, but why is the man in front of her? Is it because of Kleve? When she heard a loud gunshot, she closed her eyes and quickly covered her ears. She was almost deaf. She felt her body and felt no pain, but when she opened her eyes, Cuhen's right shoulder had been shot.
Kleve shot it, which gripped her to his body and turned her into a shield. Kleve's gun was pointed at Cuhen's head, and she couldn't get away with it. While Cuhen rubbed his right shoulder and looked at her with a sour expression.
"Cuhen, one move and you'll die," Kleve threatened.
"I can kill you even if you hide behind the needle, bastard!" he says without fear. As if his wound wound doesn't matter to him.
Kleve's brows furrowed in response to what he heard, and he tightened his grip to her even more. His swollen hand was squeezing her. It appears to be used to pain because it simply ignores the wound. As she did so, she became overwhelmed because she couldn't breathe properly because she almost had her own breasts exposed. She's wrapped her arms around herself.
"Yes, I am a sucker. Malcogn's bastard. Your whore's father refused to accept me! Are you surprised? You don't remember, do you?'
She shuts her eyes. What is going on now that is so confusing? She was no longer able to comprehend everything.
Please, God, tell me I'm dreaming right now. Kindly tell me...
Even if she shake her head, she is now in the presence of two high-ranking and powerful names in the field of finance and business.
"My bastard brother has been dead for a long time," Cuhen continued, "and I know it isn't you."
Kleve cracked a grin. The determination to kill Cuhen with his gun could be seen in his eyes. "But why is he standing in front of you right now? I'm sure you won't recognize me. Remember when my mother and I came to your house when I was eight years old? My mother is ill, and we'd like to ask for some assistance. Your father threw us out, and your mother slapped my mother with money. You were present at the time. You didn't do anything. You simply turned around as if nothing had happened. My mother passed away. I became a nomad. I was adopted by a family of drug lords. Dressed. I was taught all of the bad deeds, and when my foster parents died, I inherited their wealth, allowing me to keep up with all of your business. Don't be concerned; I'll take everything you own. Of course, I put down the two most important to you first." Kleve laughed at the same time, pleased with Cuhen's rage.
It felt like her heart had been stabbed. She felt pity even though Kleve never told her about the real family it came from.
Cuhen smiled without emotion, "You want me to welcome you with my bullets, brother?" sarcasm was on his tune.
"Yeah, after all, I've already avenged my mother, and I'll bring you to them. It feels good to have killed your mother and fiancée. I'll miss you, bro." Kleve smiled and pulled the trigger, but she drew his hand away, causing the bullet to hit somewhere.
"Kleve, please... stop this," she begged the man, but she was taken aback when a bullet struck Kleve's shoulder, causing him to scream in pain.
"Cuhen, don't!" She cries loudly. She didn't want to see anyone will die in front of her. She couldn't bear the thought of two blood relatives murdering each other today.
She rushed to help Kleve while crying in front of Cuhen. Kleve has been thoughtful since he became her boyfriend. That's all there is to it; the man is a murderer, but there is a law that will punish him. So, even though she was angry and disgusted with him, she felt pity on the other side of her brain. She saw Kleve was hurt and was about to shoot Cuhen when she decided to intervene.
"Noooo!!!"
"Ellah!!!"
Her world came to a halt, and her heart began to race. She collapsed before she could even realize what had happened. Why? Why did Cuhen act in this manner? Why? She had a lot of questions, but they all faded away with the darkness.
SHE was in tears when she realized she was back in the room from which she had escaped. She was on Cuhen's island, and she couldn't stop sobbing.
Kindly guide me, Dad! I'm confused...
In her dream, she saw Kleve's body collapsed and bathed in his own blood. He had been struck in the forehead, and his eyes were wide open. Hit the target! It was centered on the man's brow.
Cuhen had killed it in front of her eyes. For the love of God! Despite the fact that the two are brothers, the man managed to kill his half brother out of rage.
Dad, I know justice was served in your death, but my heart feels empty and heavy. There's something missing! Dad, you've left... Kleve, on whom I once relied, is also no longer with me. You're gone; you've left me. I'm by myself now.
"I'm glad you've finally woken up." Cuhen entered from the outside. There was no emotion in his eyes.
What will he do to her now that he has avenged his loved one's death? She wiped her tears away and squeezed the side of the bed.
"I'd like... I'd like to know where my father's grave is." She was forced to look up and meet his cold eyes because it did not respond. She couldn't read his response, but he nodded in agreement. "H-how did you manage to kill Kleve right in front of me? How did you manage to take the life of a man who should have died in prison? He's your half-brother!"
"Don't doubt my abilities. I can buy a soul and murder it right in front of your eyes." He turned around and walked away.
She bit her lower lip so hard to keep the tears at bay. What he said had hurt her. Cuhen has become ruthless once more. If that's the case, when has it been kind to her? She should remember that the man in front of her is one of the people who has made her life a living hell.
"Hi!" Another man entered from the outside. He's devilish handsome, but Cuhen is more handsome for her. "My name is Hudson Herrence Hayes. Cuhen's best friend and I'm a doctor.
She was completely uninterested. She simply lowered her gaze.
"You have nothing wrong with you. That's probably why you collapse after witnessing so much blood and shock— "
"Please, I want to be alone," she said, interrupting whatever it was saying. Everything is still very fresh in her mind. She lay down on the bed and wrapped herself in a blanket.
"All right, I'm sorry."
She heard footsteps leaving, but he came to a halt at the door. "You're also a month pregnant." Then it completely shut the door.
She jumped to her feet and felt her stomach. Tears streamed down her cheeks once more. Her loved ones had recently died, and she is now entering a new stage of life. Cuhen's constant claim on her has paid off, but the question is does Cuhen will accept her baby? He doesn't love her.
Baby, you were formed early in Mommy's tummy. Your Daddy doesn't love us. He is in love with someone else and will never be able to love me.
CUHEN stared blankly from his current place in his room. He sipped the wine he was holding in one hand slowly. Nothing else entered his mind but the joy of having given a dot the life of a Kleve Vergan. It shouldn't have been just one bullet. If the woman hadn't just collapsed, he could have filled his body with bullets until his gun ran out.
"Bro!"
The manner in which Herrence addressed him shook him. He occasionally wishes to assassinate this vexing doctor. It broke his silence in these moments once more.
"What?" he exclaims.
"I thought it would be fine and you'd be happy if you brought your mother and Florae's deaths to justice. Why do you appear to have died here? ”
"Of course I'm pleased. Get out now!" He gave it a disapproving look.
It simply laughs. "I had no idea you and Kleve were half brothers. It's no surprise that you're both demons. Fuck! Consider this: he's the half-beast brother you were looking for, but he mysteriously vanished. Even using all of our investigative abilities, we were unable to locate him previously. But he's fine!”
"Fuck the fuck up!"
For a brief moment, silence fell between them.
"You have it all. What do you have planned for Don Hernadez's daughter? Are you going to hide her on your island again?"
He didn't say anything. He just kept staring at the wine-filled goblet. "She doesn't have anywhere to go. It's much better if she stays here."
Herrence shook his head, staring at him as if he wanted to say something but didn't care.
"Okay, I have to go; my yacht is waiting for me. By the way, be nice to her; you have no idea what's going through her head."
Shut the fuck up!
He just kept sipping wine and thinking about the past...
