“He’s asking for my daughter” I was just annoyed by this brat.

“He’s a little kid Ryan, don’t act as if it is a huge thing” How could it not be a huge thing? She’s my daughter and I won’t give her to any man, what the hell? I don’t care how many girlfriends Noel will have in the future but I won’t let my daughter.

I looked away from Julianna and looked at the little creature in front of me. I felt like hitting him when I saw the smirk on his face. Like father, like son.

“Done. Have you had dinner?” Julianna asked me while combing my hair back with her fingertips. I looked at her and shook my head. How am I supposed to eat after finding that my wife was taken away by her bloody brother.

“I’ll make something. Myles what do you wanna eat baby?” Why is she asking him? Urghh..

“Anything aunty” He smiled brightly at Julianna. Julianna nodded at him and me as she went into the house.

After Julianna left I looked at the child in front of me as he smiled brightly at me. I unintentionally smiled because of his cute smile.

“Where’s brother?” Suddenly he asked me. Damn he’s calling Noel brother. That’s great.

“He’s sleeping. I came here after he fell asleep” I smiled at him and he nodded at me.

“I’m going to see aunty” He jogged away after saying that. I sighed and leaned against the sofa as I remembered how we spent time together. Everything changed within a blink. Everything because of grandma. I don’t know why she helped them.

“Ryan, how are you?” I came back to my senses as I heard Gwen’s voice. I sighed and looked at her and saw she was giving me a little smile.

“Not bad, what about you” I asked back because I really have no idea how they spent their lives. I didn’t come to this house for years.

“Same” She smiled at me and said. I nodded at her because we were friends when we were kids but everything changed after Julianna’s kidnap happened.

“Have you guys ever found what happened back then?” Her expression changed as I heard it. She waited for a while and shook her head with a sad look.

“We heard men related to the incident have been killed by someone” What? Killed?

“No. I don’t think” I suddenly remembered what Chris told me that day. We should just go and find it.

“You don’t have to worry about it Ryan, now fuck off from my house” I looked at Mark who just came and pulled his wife to him as if I was going to steal her. Tsk, I already have the best woman and why do I even look at another one?

“Mark you know I did nothing. Why are you still like this?” I asked him because it’s been years but yet he hasn’t forgiven me. I didn’t even know or did anything.

“Are you telling me to fucking believe you?” Again he shouted at me. I knew he was hurt for years because of this incident but what the hell?

“Mark, enough please. Don’t start again” Gwen patted his hand and calmed him down as he clenched his jaw and looked away from me.

“Ryan, have dinner I think Marianna is done cooking” I stood up from the sofa and walked into their kitchen and saw Julianna was smiling and talking with that little brat.

“You’re here. Sit down I’ll come” Julianna looked back and me and smiled. I nodded at her and went to the dining room and soon after Julianna came with food. Damn that smell.

While having dinner, Myles finished his food and ran into her room while Gwen was shouting and following him and then Mark came and sat beside me.

“Why did you kill them?” Suddenly he asked and my actions stopped. Killed whom?

“What?” I asked him because I was fucking confused.

“That doctor who killed Noah and other men” His words threw me into a deadly silence and at the same time my eyes fell on Julianna who was looking at me with a horror filled face. She watched me for a while and looked at Mark.

“Wh.. what did you say? Killed?” Julianna questioned while shifting her gaze from Mark to me. I didn’t want to answer her question so I just simply looked down and continued eating.

“ANSWER ME” I gasped because of Julianna’s angry shout. I looked at Mark and saw the same reaction from him. Why the fuck did he even mention this to her?

“Julianna it’s just nothing.” I smiled at her but her eyes turned moist and she looked at me and shook her head.

“You again hid something from me Ryan? What the hell was that? Mark talked to me” Julianna asked me with a disappointed voice and she looked at Mark.

“Noah was killed, his doctor fed him wrong medicines and it was all according to someone’s plan” She stayed silently for a while and let out a forceful smile at Mark and looked at me.

“He died because I couldn’t pay money right?” The way she asked me that, I felt my heart was stabbed multiple times by a sharp dagger.

I watched her tear filled face and I wanted to lie but I couldn’t because Mark has already pried open her wound again.

“He was killed.” I spoke with a low voice while looking away from her eyes. I just didn’t want to see her like that.

“So you knew?” I heard her mockery and I just looked straight into her eyes without uttering a word.

“What more you’re hiding from me Ryan? Any mistresses out there? Sleeping with other women? Or have more children? You really surprised me by hiding things from me” My heart shattered into pieces as I heard her words. How could she just?

“Julianna you know me. You know what kind of man I am. Just don’t say hurtful words” I was both angry and hurt because of her words.

“Yeah I know. I’m sorry for my words. You only have me but why? He was my brother Ryan. I had the right to know” She forced herself from sobbing. I looked at Mark and found his face was filled with guilt.

“Julianna I found it four years ago and you weren’t there. I searched for Noah’s sister and told her everything but I gained nothing but after I found you I just didn’t want to hurt you by telling those things” I simply explained to her as she nodded at me.
