Chapter 65: Chapter 65
~ Julianna ~
I was reading a book and I heard my phone is ringing and I thought the call was from Amelia because Ryan said Chris has found where Amelia is. I grabbed my phone and looked at the number but it was an unknown number so I didn’t answer the call but my phone rang for more than three times so I decided to pick it and see who’s calling.
“Hello” I answered the call and I heard a sigh from the other side.
“Julianna, It’s me Natasha” My heart tightened as I heard the name and I didn’t really like the woman who was calling me and I don’t know what ‘s her plan this time.
“What do you want?” I asked her because I was just angry.
“I want to meet you and tell you something important” She said but I didn’t want to meet her.
“I’m sorry I don’t want” I simply said and waited for her reply.
“Listen to me Julianna, it's really important. We can meet only for ten minutes. Just come without Ryan” Her voice was serious and I felt fear. What she wants to tell me? I don’t know but for some unknown reason I wanted to know it.
“I’ll come” I said as I got up from the bed.
“Alright come to the westland park. I’ll be there in a few minutes.” I hung up the call and walked downstairs.
As I went downstairs I heard Ryan was having conversation with Chris through the phone and I knew Chris was telling him that Amelia was pregnant. Amelia informed me about her pregnancy as soon as she found it but she asked me to keep it as a secret from Ryan and Chris.
“Ryan” I walked towards him and said as he turned to me and smiled. Then he hung up the call and came to me.
“It’s night time for Chris” I smiled at him and nodded as I looked at the time. It’s just five in the evening to us.
“How do you feel, angel?” Ryan pulled me closer to him and kissed my forehead while caressing my belly. I kissed his cheek and smiled at him.
“I’m good” I sighed and said as he nodded at me.
“Mm. Ryan, can I go out for a while?” I asked him and watched his face as his expression changed.
“Why? Where?” He asked me with a worried expression. I simply patted his cheek and smiled.
“For some fresh air.” I wrapped my hand around his arm and said but he was looking at me with suspicious eyes.
“I’ll take you. Where do you want to go?” He said as he rubbed his forehead.
“No. I want to go alone. You take care of Noel. I’ll come soon.” I said as he frowned at me. I sighed and smiled at him because I don’t if he let me go there or not.
“Alright, go with chauffeur. I’ll give you one and a half hours. Be careful Julianna you’re pregnant” I nodded at him and kissed his cheek again. I went to the room and changed into comfortable loose frock and went downstairs as I took my phone.
I kissed Ryan’s cheek and Noel’s as I came out of the house but I couldn’t get rid of the way Ryan watched me. He was doubting. I knew I couldn’t do anything without letting him know so I’ll tell him after I come home.
After a few minutes I arrived at the Westland park and saw Natasha was already there. I got out of the car and walked towards her as she forcefully smiled at me. Then her eyes fell on my belly and she smiled but it wasn’t a pleasant smile.
“Tell me what you wanted to tell. I should go home quickly.” I spoke while examining her expression and she just simply nodded at me and led me to a coffee shop beside the park. As we entered and took a seat she ordered two black coffees for us and looked at me.
“Julianna, I wanted to tell you about something and it was about Ryan” My heartbeat quickened with an unknown emotion and I looked at Natasha and saw she had a serious look on her.
“You know, if you’re going to lie I’m warning you that he’s my husband and I won’t leave him” I said because I didn’t want to hear any lies from her and misunderstand Ryan.
“Julianna, I’ve already given up on him and I’m going to get married in a few months but before that I wanted to let you know this” With that she took a photo from her bag and put it on the table.
“You know, Ryan always had a woman he loved and she went missing years ago. They were kids but their families have decided the engagement between them.” I looked at the picture and saw Ryan who was smiling at a teenage girl. His eyes were gentle and it was clear that he cared about the girl. My heart tightened as I saw his gentle face. He was happy in that picture and I guess Ryan was seventeen or sixteen years old. Then my eyes fell on the girl and I couldn’t see her full face but half because the photo was focused on Ryan. She had light brown hair and was so similar to me. Why does she look like me when I was a kid? Is that me? No, of course not because I’ve never worn those kinds of fancy dresses and I’ve never stayed in a place like that.
“Her name is Marianna Holland, young lady of the Holland family. Julianna, she looks so much like you. I saw her when we were in school. I still remember Ryan was always looking at her even if she ignored him and bullied him”
“She was a stubborn girl and she always bullied Ryan but Ryan never got angry or shouted at her, he just stayed like nothing happened while smiling at Marianna.”
“Ryan was not someone easy to bully. Only Marianna did and you know Ryan’s character right?” My heart shook violently as I heard her words. Ryan liked her?
“Why are you telling me these?” I asked her as I took a deep breath. She watched me for and while and sighed.
“It was because he married you and kept you with him because you look so much alike Marianna. He’s believing you as Marianna, not as Julianna.”
“She went missing and after one year of her disappearance he went to the military camp. Do you know that he had a picture of Marianna with him? She was the woman he loved and he still loves.”
“If she was there, you think he would get a surrogate for himself? No… it was all because Marianna wasn’t there.” I clutched my dress tightly and forced my tears back because I didn’t want to cry in front of Natasha and I don’t want to believe anything she said.
“I heard that Marianna was back after so many years. Do you think Ryan won’t go to her if he finds that she’s back?” No.. He can’t just go to another woman like that. I’m his wife.
“Julianna, you were always just a substitute for Marianna. He was seeing Marianna in you” My hands began to tremble and I was scared. I was really scared to lose him.
