It was on Monday morning. Somia’s bedside alarm started ringing, Somia stretched her left hand out under the blanket and off the alarm with anger like she was fighting with it. She hatred to be hearing the voice of the alarm especially on Monday mornings; Somia covered her face back with the blanket and continued sleeping.

Thirty minutes later. Sound of a door opened, Somia’s mother came out from her bedroom and closed the door. She was putting on a long hijab and she just finished performing her solat, she was going to Somia’s bedroom to pray for her before she leaves.

That was how she used to do even if Nibia and Ibrahim too were around, went to each of their rooms and pray for them.

She started praying and talking as she was getting closed to Somia’s bedroom, she held the handle of the door, pressed it down and opened the door.

“Oh my God!” Somia shouted from sleep as the door opened and got up with fear.

“What happened that you haven’t get up by this time, are you not going to work?” Her mother asked with low voice and so surprised that she was still on bed.

“Off course Mom, I am going to work!” She quickly ran down from the bed, dropped the blanket on the bed and looked at the wall clock.

“Thank God, you entered Mom!” She said with loud voice and rushing into the bathroom.

“As I finished praying, I decided to come and check on you, and pray for you as I use to” her mother said to her inside the bathroom.

“Just be fast so that you won’t be late”

“Alright Mom!” Somia replied from the bathroom.

“God will be with you and bless you, my daughter!” Continued praying as she turned back and leaving Somia’s room. Sound of the door opened and closed.

Somia came out from the bathroom after some minutes and with a white towel wrapped all over her body; she opened the wardrobe brought out the clothes that she had selected to wear to work and she started dressing up quickly because time had gone already.

Somia finished dressing after some minute, applied a simple makeup and ready to go. She carried her handbag on the bed and leaving the room; sound of the door opened and closed she got to the corridor and leaving the house.

“I will start going on Ma, the taxi driver is outside” Somia said as she got down to the living room, and met her mother doing cleaning.

“Alright my daughter, go safety please!” She said with low voice.

“Yes Ma!” Somia replied back and left the house. She got down to the compound, and going out from the compound. She came out from the gate, saw a blank Toyota car and which was parked at the front of the gate. She opened the back door and entered into the car, the driver started the car and started driving.

The blank taxi arrived to MMO Company after one hour and some minutes passed, Somia took her handbag on the chair, opened the door and got down from the car. Entering into the Company and the taxi driver drove away.

The security guard were greeting Somia as she entered and she too was replying back with smiles on her face.

The entrance door opened automatically for her, and she entered. Met Funbi at the secretary’s place, signing on the book. Funbi dropped the pen on the book as Somia got there, carrying her bags and wanted to leave without utter a word.

“Am good Sis, thank you very much!” Somia replied the secretary and started signing on the paper.

“Even I have something for you, don’t know if Semirat has given you but don’t use to be much” Somia said as she opened her and looking for the card that Ali gave them.

“What is that? Semirat didn’t give me anything” The lady replied.

“There is it!” Somia gave the business card to her. “We are helping our friends to share it, and as you can see it there it’s model equipment that they are using” Funbi stopped walking as she heard their conversations.

“Wow! Where their workshops are based are very close to my area, especially this at Lekki road” “My husband has been having some problem with his car, it’s good that they are using model equipment like foreigner mechanics so I will tell him to call them and go to them” The secretary said, and looking at the card.

“That is awesome, thank you! So tell them that from Somia or Semirat-------“

“Can I get one, I mean the mechanic card” Funbi interrupted their conversations and asking for the card.

“I have been having issues with my car for the past a month now, and it’s like my mechanic is just using for practice because it’s new model” Funbi said with low voice.

“Okay, they will surely work it out!” Somia said with low voice and gave the card to Funbi.

“Alright! I will call them!” ”Good morning Sir!” Funbi said and greeted Ashar as he entered.

“Good morning Sir” Somia too greeted as she turned back.

“How are you all? And how was your weekend?” Ashar replied with low voice and going to his office, and Somia followed him.

“It’s lovely to see you and Funbi talking together, it’s like she has been behaving herself” Ashar with low voice, and two of them walking at the corridor to their office.

“I hope so, but today it’s because she needs a mechanic that is why she asked for the card that I am sharing to Ali” Somia replied with low voice.

“Raheem told me that he has setup himself, and that is awesome!”

“He and friend’s business card is here, so please help them to give your friends and relatives”

“Sure I will do that, anything for you my girl and for our wife” Somia giggles and looking at Ashar as he was opening the door. Ashar did sign with his hand, as he opened door and telling Somia to enter first.

“Thank you Sir!” Somia said with low voice as she was entering and Ashar followed her.

Sound of the door closed, Somia put like thirty business cards on Ashar’s desk and went to sit on her seat.

Ashar sat down on the desk, took one out of the business card and looking at it’ after finished what was written on it, he packed them inside his bag. He on the laptop and started working on it.

Two hours later that two of them had busy working, Somia’s phone started ringing and it was Nana that was calling her. Somia looked at her phone, and picked the call.

“Hello Nana, how are you?” Somia asked with low voice.

“Hello! I am inside the compound of MMO Company now, and I have saw Ashar’s car parked already so don’t tell me that you are not around!” She said with loud voice.

“Calm down now, even I just greeted you and haven’t say a word” Somia said with low voice.

“Just come down and let me in!” Nana said with low voice.

“Alright, am coming down now” Somia got up from her seat as she hanged up from the call, holding her phone and going out. Ashar was looking at her going out still the door closed and continued with what he was doing.

Sound of the door opened and closed after twenty minutes; Somia and Nana entered into the office. Nana quickly ran to Ashar as they entered, smiling and holding a small bag.

“Hello! It be a while and it’s Somia that caused it!” She said with low voice, looking at Ashar with a look but Ashar didn’t care just greeting her normally.

“Well! I bought this for you as birthday gift-------“

“Which birthday again? Even we are in another month now” Ashar said with low voice.

“Well! I think any day should be appreciative, if it’s late for your birthday you can use it as wedding gift and that it’s in advance” Nana said with low voice and adjusting her cloth. Her cloth was half naked, and also showing her breast.

“Alright then, thank you very much!” Ashar said with low voice and collected it from her hand, and put it on the table.

“You are welcome Ashar!” She said with low voice as she sat down on the chair beside Somia, and looking at Ashar.

“Today that you came, I am very busy so sorry if I don’t have time for you” Somia said with low voice but Nana didn’t replied just busy starring at Ashar.

“You can get yourself drink inside the fringe, and biscuit inside my withdraw”

“Okay! I will do that” She said with low voice, and Somia continued working on the laptop.

Nana was looking at two of them as they were working, but focus more on Ashar and smiling. Somia got up after few minutes, took a file and coming out from the desk.

“Sir! I quickly want to go and see the director for the meeting, and the time will be fixed”

“Alright!” Ashar said with smile and Somia going out, she opened the door and closed it back from behind. Nana was looking at Ashar’s face and with a lovely romantic look that he was using to look at Somia.

“It shows that you love her!” Nana said with low voice, but Ashar just smile.

“But does she deserve it?” Ashar looked at Nana as she utter out that statement.

“What are you trying to say?” Ashar asked with low voice; Nana got up from where she was sitting and walked closer to Somia.

“Somia doesn’t deserve your love at all!” She said as she bend on the table and starring at Ashar with a romantic look.

“That Somia that you are looking at is not who she is, she really no how pretend and hind something. She knows how to act to people and for them to be seeing her like a decent girl and good girl” Ashar was just looking at her.

“You too recall the way you met her, which decent girl will got drank and went to meet a man and started appreciating him. Somia is a prostitute, just always use to act like a decent girl. Let me tell you, as Somia is her mother didn’t know that she is not decent at all and not a virgin again but she keeps deceiving people” She was busy talking and shouting.

“Ashar listen to me, Somia doesn’t deserved you because you know nothing about her. She is not-----“Sound of the door opened and closed by Somia, She entered and looking at Nana with bad look.

“Why are you always doing this to me, saying bad things about me!” Somia said with loud voice and Nana was just looking at her with jealous.

“I met the guy that you sent to me and planned with him to rap me. When I met him, he explained everything to me and told me your plans. That you paid them because of act of jealous, and so that I could joined you but our behaviors and brought up are different”

“With what the guy said, I still decided to forgive you and still talking to you. I counted it as nothing, because of all the good things you have done to me in the past”

“The guy is now one of my guys and he had advise me that I should let them deal with you, but I don’t want to pay you back with evil and that was why I forgot and forgive you. But now, look at what you are doing again” Somia said with anger and Ashar was just looking at them.

“This is the height of it, you know what leave now or I call the security guard” Somia said with anger.

“Am leaving already, just know that Ashar loves you and you are lucky!” Nana carried her bag and Somia was just looking at her with anger.

“Please just leave and get out now!” Somia said with anger.

“I am leaving, just tell your lover boy more about yourself. He loves you and he can help!” Nana said with proudness and going out. Sound of the door opened and closed.

“I told you about her if you can remember, first day we had a talk” Ashar said as he came out from his desk and holding Somia.

“I want you to do this for me, don’t be friend with her, Nana again. I want Semirat only” He said as he rest Somia head on his chest.

“Done!” Somia said with low voice, looked at Ashar and smile.
