ONE WEEK LATER
MRS WALTON POV
I was much better from the incident but Susan was yet to regain consciousness after undergoing a surgery which made her slip to coma.
However, I never gave up in praying for her to regain consciousness. I know she’s going to regain consciousness very soon.
As for Naomi, I’ve visited her and promised to help her out in every way I can. I really felt pity and guilt when she poured out her pain and regrets to me.
I should have been there for her after her mom passed away but I didn’t. I shouldn’t have let Philips take responsibility for her but he was her birth father and stood over it which was why I had to let her go.
I pray my little sister will forgive me for leaving her daughter in the hands of her evil husband. I’ll make sure he pays for her death and for what he did to his daughter. He will be in jail for a very long time.
“Honey, the lawyer is here.” My husband called out to me from the living room.
“Okay darling. I’ll be there.” I responded and instructed one of the maids to continue with the cooking.
I hope the lawyer has found a means not to make Naomi go to jail or even make her punishment fair since she was only misled by her father.
“Good morning lawyer.” I greeted him and walked over to join my husband on the sofa.
“Good morning Mrs Walton.”
“What’s with the sudden visit, lawyer? I hope my niece will be favored by the court.”
“She will be favored, Mrs Walton. That’s the reason why I’m here.”
“Tell me lawyer. What was their decision?”
“The court has agreed to grant her a one year sentence which I think it’s fair enough.”
"I wonder how she’s going to survive in that place in one year. I really wish they could be kind enough to let her go.” I uttered sadly.
“You know that’s not possible. That’s the best I could for you, Mrs Walton. The judge’s decision was fair enough.”
“It’s indeed fair enough, lawyer. I’m sure before we know it she will be out and free again. Thank you so much for the support.” Richard stated, taking my hands in his.
“You’re most welcome Mr Walton. I’ll be on my way.”
“Alright lawyer. We will go and check up on her when we have the time.” My husband added as the lawyer got up and took his leave.
“I’m really sorry Fiona for letting you down.” I uttered as the tears I was trying to hold stream down my cheeks.
“I’m sure your sister will understand that you did the best you could. Please stop crying, my queen. I can’t bear to see you this way.” He assured me and wiped off my tears.
TIA POV
I slowly open my eyes to find the bed empty without my husband right next to me. I remember he told me he won’t be going to the office today.
We had a great moment last night which was really romantic and the best date ever. Andrew made the date really romantic and special in such a way I got him aroused and made the date one of the best for us.
I pulled the duvet off my body and was about to stroll to the bathroom when my eyes caught a paper on my makeup table.
I walked over to the table and picked up the paper to see it was my husband’s handwriting.
“Good morning, my beautiful sunshine. Last night was really memorable and it’s all because of you. I’m sorry I couldn’t be by your side. I got a call to attend a meeting at the company but I’ll be back once the meeting is over. I love you, my daring wife.”
You’re really the best husband anyone could ever wish for. I can’t wait for him to get back home to embrace him.
I kissed the paper and dropped it on the table before heading to the bathroom to take a shower.
I can’t get enough of seeing him. I’ll pay him a surprise visit at the office. I’m sure he will be shocked to see me.
ANDREW POV
“Review and record all the contracts and bring it over to the mansion for me for finalization.” I instructed Frank.
“Okay sir.”
“Cancel my schedule for today. I don’t want anyone to disturb me. I want to take thirty minutes rest before leaving.”
“I will do that sir.”
“You can go.” I stated and strolled to my office.
I got inside the office and headed directly towards the living room area and lay quietly on the sofa.
I feel worn out after handling three meetings all at once. The moment thirty minutes is over, I’ll head back home to meet my darling wife. I’m sure she must be waiting for me to return early but the meetings took up all my time.
I checked my wristwatch and saw the time to be twelve noon which is almost time for lunch but turned away from the thought of having lunch without Tia.
It wasn’t up to ten minutes after I arrived at the office that a knock came on the door.
I did make it clear to Frank I don’t want any disturbance whatsoever but he just knows how to go against my instructions.
“Didn’t I tell you to cancel my schedule for today Frank?” I yelled the moment I heard the door open.
“Does that also imply me visiting?”
“My love!” I sat up and found her standing at the door holding a basket.
“Yes darling.” She smiled and walked towards me.
“What brings you here?”
“I came to see you and decided to bring lunch over for you.” She dropped the basket on the table and sat on my lap.
“I just finished the meetings a few minutes ago and thought of taking some rest before coming home.”
“Oh, sorry darling. I had a feeling you needed me. Also I saw your sweet message and decided to surprise you.” She chuckled.
“You’re really gifted with the ability to know how I feel. Meeting you has been one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me and last night was really the best moment of my life.”
“It was also the best moment for me too.” She admitted and slammed our lips together.
