Chapter 69: Chapter 69

ANDREW POV

“I wish you guys luck. Andrew, remember what I told you about Jeremy.” Mr Charlie stated.

“I will, Mr Charlie.”

“Stay safe boy. I’ll go check up on your father.”

“Don’t tell him about Philips for now due to his heart condition.”

“I won’t tell Richard. I know of his health and giving him such news will really be so bad for me as his friend.”

“Thank you, uncle.”

“See you guys soon.” He smiled as we all got into the car and left the premise of the agency.

I’m sure everyone will be worried about me. I have got to call my love and inform her about my move.

I slowly took out my phone from my trousers and saw thirteen missed calls from my love.

I might have placed the phone on silent mode when I was in the office. She must be worried sick for not picking up the call.

I dialed her number and at the first ring she picked it.

“Baby, how are you? I tried calling you but you wouldn’t pick up the call.” She called out with her voice sounding worried.

“I’m sorry I left without leaving a message for you. I had to take care of something.”

“When are you coming home? Everyone is worried about you.”

“I’m absolutely fine, my love. Tell dad, I’m going to bring mom home today.”

“Tell me where you’re, baby.”

“I’m going to rescue her with some team at the moment. Once we find her, I’ll give you a call, okay?”

“Promise me, you’ll look after yourself, okay?”

“I promise my love. I love you and I will be back for you.”

“I love you too, darling.”

“I've to go now, my love. I promise I'll find mom and come home together with her."

"Okay darling. Stay safe." She replied as I ended the call.

"How many kilometers do we have to cover to reach there?" I asked the driver.

"14 kilometers, sir."

"You have nothing to worry about, sir. We will find her soon." Agent Ronny uttered while I nodded in response.

NAOMI POV

“Miss Naomi, your offer looks promising but I don’t have the guarantee your company will do well with my company but if you can raise the price higher I might reconsider my decision.”

“I just need support from your company but since you’re not willing to accept my offer then you can leave.”

“That’s not the way to do business, Miss Naomi. Andrew warned me about your ill-mannered attitude in business but due to greed I didn’t take heed to his advice and had to experience the bitter truth.”

“I should have known he would go behind my back and feed people with bad words just to ruin me. I wish I had never approached you in the first place. Just get the hell out of my company.”

“You need to learn some manners young girl. You totally lack the experience of what it takes to be a business person and I hope you can get to change your bad attitude.”

“Get the hell out of my company!"

“I will leave but keep those words in mind. They will do you real good in business. Good day.” He said before taking his leave.

He’s such a crazy old man. I really made a great mistake by approaching him for such a deal. It’s all Andrew’s fault for trying to ruin my company.

The buzzing sound from my phone brought me out of the thought as it turned out to be Raymond calling.

He doesn’t call me when I’m in the office. This call had better be good. I’m still trying to take that man's words out of my head.

“Yes. Is something wrong?” I asked on picking the call.

“It’s actually my mistake, boss.” He said, his voice sounding coarse.

“What are you talking about? Just come out clean and say the damn thing.”

“The ladies have escaped, boss.”

“Did I hear you so well?”

“They escaped.”

“How could you let them escape you idiot!” I screamed out in rage.

“The slim lady used a trick on me, boss.”

“And you foolishly fell for it. You have got to find them right now.”

“I’m sure they haven’t gone far. I’ll find them right away.”

“I want to see them in that room before I arrive.” I ordered and ended the call.

How could he foolishly fall into Susan crunches so easily? I never should have underestimated her after she got close to Sarah.

I can’t imagine the situation I will get into from the police and my father. He will be so ashamed to look me in the eyes.

He has to find them as soon as possible before they get to the police or anyone.

I left the file I was working on and grabbed my bag and car keys making my way out of the office.

MRS WALTON POV

“I’m getting tired aunt. We have been running in the woods for the past ten minutes and we haven’t found any path that leads outside of this jungle.” Susan said and tiredly sat beside a tree.

“I’m also tired but we have to keep running or we’re going to get caught and you know what will definitely come next.”

“The hit man can’t locate us that easily in this large jungle.”

“We can’t be sure, dear. Come on, get up and let's keep moving.”

“Let's rest a little more before we continue. Please aunt. I’m exhausted and tasty.”

“There you bitches are. I won’t spare you both.” We heard the hit man’s voice from afar as we looked up to see him standing inches away from us.

“Come on Susan. Let’s run!” I yelled and she got on her feet as we both began to run.

“You both can’t run no matter how you try.” He laughed out still chasing us but we kept running without turning back.

We kept running until we heard the sound of a gunshot which made me stop to check if Susan was fine.

“Are you okay, dear?” I asked but she just smiled.

“Are you sure you’re okay, Susan?” I tried to walk over to her but she dropped to the floor before I could reach her.
