Sid Pov

.

"Alex---- Alexander" she whispered. I look at her shockingly.

"But why?" I asked but she didn't reply.. a tear rolled down from her eyes.

"Ahana" I called her name. she didn't reply, just hugged me and started crying..

I couldn't understand what happened all of a sudden... I was lovingly striding my hand on her back to calm her down.

"lifeline calm down.. why are you crying? Did those people do anything or say anything to you?" I asked but instead of answering she was continuously crying..

after some time she calmed down a bit.. I broke the hug and wiped her tears...

"Now tell me what happened? why are you crying"

she still didn't reply and kept weeping..

"Ahana, will you speak up?" I roared angrily. She got scared because of my anger and moved away from me. I steady myself..

"lifeline, you are scaring me.. please say something.. why are you crying? Did anyone misbehave with you?" I asked. she nodded in no. I cupped her face.

"Then why are you crying?"

"Alex--Alexander" she stammered..

"yes.. Alexander, how do you know him and why is he behind you?"

before she could say anything Sahil came inside... She quickly turned away from me... I looked at Sahil Irefully. he just shrugged his shoulders.

"I swear to god.. After the mission is over, I will not even let you sleep in a room with Bhabhi" I yelled.

Ahana and Sahil looked at me shockingly and immediately I realized what I said.

"I mean after this mission I will send you on another mission.. don't use your bad mind both of you" I mumbled. They both look at me annoyingly.

"bastard" Sahil cursed me and Ahana started laughing seeing my reaction. I just gave her a smile But I was abusing Sahil in my mind for his bad timing .. If Sahil hadn't come just after a while, Ahana might have told me everything now.

I was lost in my own thoughts when Sahil put his hand on my shoulder.. I looked at him.

"Everyone will come on this side looking for Ahana.. you both have to get out of here before our teammates come" he said. I nodded yes and looked at Ahana who was sitting silently. her composure was so stiff.

"Ahana"

"huhh" she turned her face towards me..

"We should move towards the north side," I said. she didn't say anything.

Ahana Pov

Both of us were going to the north side of the forest... Sid was holding my hand. I was walking with him without saying anything. Both of us were walking continuously.. After a while it started getting dark.

"You know a place to hide somewhere around here?" he asked.

"We can sleep on top of trees.. at this point in time it is the safest place in this dense forest" I answered. He nodded and took out rope from his bag and then started collecting wood and leaves. I didn't understand what he was doing but I didn't ask him... I was just gazing at him... He had made a swing on the tree with the help of tree leaves, branches and rope for sleeping..

"you can sleep comfortably on it" he muttered while checking the stability of the swing

"and you?" I asked.

"Somebody has to wake up.. there is a danger of the arrival of Soldiers, terrorists and animals.."

"So you'll stay up all night?" he didn't answer me, just smiled. I don't know why he smiles but Whenever I see him smiling I get a strange relief..

"I'll help you in climbing up" he whispered. I nodded in yes then he helped me to climb. He had made the swing very firmly and he himself had checked it in front of me several times.

Sid took out a torch from his back and then gave me, he too climbed the tree and sat on the branch. I gave him the torch back and lay down. I was lying down and he was sitting right in front of me.. There was a little light because of the torch.. both of us were able to see each other very well. We were staring at each other silently.

"Ahana" he broke the silence.

"Hmm" I hummed .

"You must be hungry, will you eat something?" he asked.

"You will not get anything to eat tonight. I'm ok don't worry" I whispered and closed my eyes.

"I know this is not the right time to say all these things but I want to say something" he mumbled.

"I'm listening" I said but didn't open my eyes.

"The mole at the bottom of your lips always drives me to kiss you" he uttered. I immediately opened my eyes and looked at him, winding my eyes. He laughed at my reaction.

"I am telling the truth.. in fact even at this time I'm feeling like taking you in my arms and kissing you deeply and sucking each and every mole on your body" he whispered seductively. I shiver with his words and my womanhood clenched with desire..

"Fuck" I cursed myself but I want to speak that word in my mind but it slept from my mouth.

"I'm ready" he smirked knowing very well I didn't mean it..

"ohh god this man.. I wish I could smack ok his face" I thought, glancing at him angrily. He laughed at my reaction.

"You never leave a chance to annoy me," I frowned.

"yes and promise I will never leave a chance to love you and adore you as well.."

I was just staring at him and could feel each and every word of what he said. tears rolled down from my eyes.

"hay why are you crying?" he panicked.

"Sometimes you love so much that I start thinking of myself as the luckiest girl in this world and next moment you prove me wrong. I get to know that I am the most unlucky girl in the world.. Your love is just a hoax" mumbled while crying.

"Ahana" he called my name but I didn't look at his side.

"Please look at me Ahana," he pleaded. I turned my face to his side but didn't look at his face.

"Look into my eyes, lifeline" he mumbled. I raised my eyelids and looked at him.

"Now I will not give you any explanation. it's all up to you to trust me or not... All I can say is that you're my lifeline.. and I mean it.. I love you" he confessed. I was just looking at him. I didn't understand how I should reply to him... after a while I wiped my tears.

"trust.. you think whatever you did after that i can trust you?"

"Right now I am here with you.. Isn't it enough to trust me?" he asked and realisation hit me. If he doesn't love me then why is he with me? I even hurt him with a knife but still he is caring about me. He is with me. He is protecting me from all the devil's eyes. He is continuously loving me despite my hatred.

"Is it really not enough to trust him Ahana that he is with you?" I thought and looked at Sid who was looking at me smilingly

"Please let us go somewhere far away from here.. Far away where only you, me and Aarzoo (Sid’s daughter) are there.. no one else" I mumbled.

"Me and Arzoo are really very lucky that you came into our life.. you remember Arzoo even in such a situation.. it proves that you don't just say, really consider Aarzoo as your daughter.. I wish we could really go far away from here but I can't shy away from my duty Ahana. it's just I got some proof that you are innocent then I will send you far away from here and when the mission is over I will marry you and then we will always be with each other." he confided with a huge smile on his face but after listening to him, the smile on my face disappeared.

"Sid won't go from here until he kills every terrorist.. even I also don't want to go until I kill that bastard Alexander" I was lost in thought when Sid called my name. I look at him.

"It's been a long night, you should sleep... you've had to walk a lot, you must be tired. So good night" he wished. I nodded yes and lay down and soon darkness consumed me.

Sid Pov

I was just watching Ahana sleeping.. She looks so cute while sleeping like an innocent baby. I never thought that this girl would become so special to me. Will become my reason for living.. will become my lifeline. The sun was about to rise when Ahana's sleep broke up. she first saw me as soon as she opened her eyes. There was a smile on her face..

"Good morning," she mumbled.

"I love your sleepy voice.. It's not morning yet, sleep for a while." I said.

she suddenly got up and sat beside me

"what happened?" I asked.

"Now you go to sleep, I'm awake for a while" she answered, holding my hand.

"now I'm fine.. you should take proper sleep"

"I took. Now you take some naps.. You also need rest.. You have walked as much as I did" I was about to argue but she put her finger on my lips. "Listen to me and sleep for a while.. because if you do not get enough sleep then you can fall ill and if you fall ill then how will you protect me and this is my order so now just rest" she said and kissed on my forehead.

I didn't say anything to her again and went to the swing and lay down.. maybe she is right I need rest. I fell asleep as soon as I closed my eyes.

My eyes opened because of the rays of the sun falling on my face.. I don't know how long I was sleeping but Ahana was right that I needed rest. I'm feeling fresh now. My eyes went to the branch in front, she was not there.

"Ahana" I called her name but she didn't answer. I quickly got down from the tree and started looking at Ahana.

"Ahana" I called her again but she was nowhere to be seen and neither any reply came from her.

"where she's gone.. Did someone kidnap her or did she run away again?" I thought and immediately started searching for her.

"Where are you Ahana?" I thought and started calling her name while searching for her everywhere.
