Chapter 51: Chapter 51

Later on, an enraging white fat wolf attacks her. She pushed Tanya away from me and defended the boundary between me and her. Zaeramil arrived next and removed the spell from me.

["Alpha, are you alright!?"]

["What's wrong with this wrench!?"] Tanya growled and rolled her eyes.

Zaeramil says rapidly, "I know the way out of here but first, we have to go back to our seats!"

Acro came after them when I've fully regenerated. ["She's telling the truth,"] she said. I look at Tanya again, and she's sitting confidently.

["I told you I'm not lying. Your lad enchanter proved it."]

I get up on my feet, stretch my shoulders, and walk away. "Then sorry to kill your excitement instead. I'm not going to kill you anymore," I gave her that answer. "Let's go."

["Wait!"] she howls. ["At least tell me your decision about the invitation of my Alpha! That way, I'll know what to do as well."]

I stopped, removed my necklace to tangle it on my right hand, and presented to her the hanging pendant on my palm. "Once upon a time, you stole this from me. If you know the purpose of this amulet, then that will be the end of the tale," I answered plainly. But she was left dumbfounded. We hurried to our previous seats now that the train is staggering.

We came back to our seats after we crossed several divisions. This train is jerking, running as fast as a bullet which makes it necessary for us to cling to anything reliable. While these two are clinging to each other, I cling to the table and Acro is on my lap.

"Z-Zaeramil! Make it stop!"

"It will soon! It will become reality if I stop it by force!"

This ride gets wild when we feel like floating and our seats are like swinging us anywhere, it sometimes bounces and hits my groin once it thuds! I squeezed my lips and bubbled my cheeks! A huge and deep cliff is ahead of this train when I squint at the window. I was about to inform them but they were cuddling each other tightly; Sherizzah is extremely frightened, and Zaeramil is holding her while spilling assuring words.

"Don't worry, your majesty! I'll keep you safe!"

Tanya isn't the only flirt here after all. I trembled, clinging my claw to the table when the train fell on the cliff and we fell endlessly. I give in to that feeling to pull back my motion sickness—other than the reason that I'm only cuddling with the table—until the train runs smoothly again. However, these two kept on screaming with their eyes closed.

I look around and the other passengers are back in my sight, and they're all looking at us including the Omegas. What an embarrassing spell. Outside is the classic station I've seen before in Plandreas, and that's exactly the case. The train stops but these two haven't. The other passengers are leaving their seats and I preceded for the Omegas to follow me.

I can't deny the trembling of my knees because of that ride! I tap Zaeramil's shoulder when I pass by him. "You know what to do," I reminded.

They've finally realized the situation. "Oh, we're here."

Sherizzah slaps his shoulder. "Why didn't you tell me it's over!?"

Their throat must be hurting at the moment. I step out of the train with the Omegas behind me and Acro on my shoulder. They were curious about our actions so I told them. They became alert. We're inside the wide court of the railway. People are walking in different directions. But there's only one pack that caught my attention in this busy station.

Elibur and his faction have been waiting for us. I was staring at him with no welcoming expression. My Omegas are following my behavior other than my steps. I passed by Elibur without throwing a word until he approached first.

"Pureblood, I'm certain you've met Tanya. Where is she?"

I stare at him for a moment. He could be the backup of the Gamma in case I've defeated her. The tension between us is bloody, the silence makes it suspenseful. But towards Elibur, I have no interest in him anymore for the sake of his potential. "... I don't know."

"Did you agree with Alpha Biaco's proposal?"

"Not yet. I want to discuss the details with him any further."

"Then why are you not with Tanya?"

He's suspecting me. "Should I? I had enough of that woman," I exhaled. And speaking of which, she joins the picture.

"Silver babe! Wait for me!" She's waving her hand in front of the train entrance. Her mouth shapes when she catches sight of the faction. "Oh, Beta darling! You've come~! Are you two getting along?" she asked with great audacity and did her sassy walk towards us. Elibur mumbles to me,

"Yeah, I had enough of that woman, too." His suspecting glances are gone now. He stands in front of me, surrounded by our own Omegas. "I will trust you this time, pureblood. But the second you harm anyone in our pack, I will not hesitate to fight you."

"Fine by me. But I'd like to warn you as well. You can't defeat me."

"... How about our Alpha? Are you going to save him from his immortality? I will take that as an exception if you plan to do it anyway."

"Because you want to be the Alpha?"

"No," he responds promptly. "Because you're the only one who can do it."

"..." I turned my back on him to proceed. "We'll see about that."

My Omegas questioned me again about the proposal, they were convinced and tamed when I told them. Some of them agreed while some are doubtful that this could be bait. Yet they entrust the decision to me. "You know what's best, Alpha," they said. Therefore, I told them to still keep the plan in mind.

The Beta and Gamma lead the way to the palace. Humans aren't taking part in this festival save only those servants of the moon. From the palace gate, the whole Vengeance pack is loitering everywhere; most kids are playing, youth are chatting with their peers—some are sitting on the green grass, and adults have their own laughter too.

The front yard of the palace is occupied by their whole pack. All of them are wearing formal clothes. It's a typical celebration of elegance. They have floating lanterns in the sky. Loud drums and music are echoing in the atmosphere. I heard some on my Omegas said that everyone and everything are just like them; fun, figure, and friendliness.

We are all the same after all.

It was noisy until we arrived. All of them cast their eyes on my pack. I only have my eyes ahead... on where Amos is. He was talking with the kids under the giant statue of a werewolf, and he told them to leave to entertain me. Tanya and Elibur leave us at the very center of the castle's front yard. All of the werewolves except my Omegas left spaces as they encircled around. And I've been trying my best to remain calm.

"Hessuel... And for the Moon's Order pack that is present here... Welcome," Amos said, not even I can comprehend his emotions. After his greet was clear silence. "I knew you would come. And I would like to change your purpose of coming. This very day is memorable to our pack, and we want to make it extra special as part of the greatest history in the future... by the oath to end the war."

"..."

"But I know it'll never happen if there's contention between us. Hessuel, I am sorry for what I've done to you... to your home... to your family in the past. This oath is my first step to compensate for what I've done to your pack."

I speak slowly, "I appreciate your humbleness. We were enemies yesterday, but today you're aiming to be my ally? You cannot compensate for what you've done. My family, my mate, my hometown, even Uncle Cor is dead." He wasn't surprised but was saddened by the news. "You almost fed me to your wolves. Helped me build myself to know how you can destroy me thoroughly in the future. Isn't this the future you've been waiting for?"

"Your answer... It delivered your decision very well. I understand the source of your anger. I went there, too. As I understand you precept by precept, realizing the voice of my guilt, I remember what we've been fighting for. We avenged our fallen pack. Victorious. And we want vengeance no more. I want to leave these packs in peace... before you do what you have to do with me. If you don't want to put it this way, then I'm open to your suggestion as long as it'll lead to peace for both packs. That is all I plead."

I hiss, "I know what you're trying to do, Sr. Amos..." I clench my fists. "You can't just tell those words to me. You killed people beloved to me... and killed my trust that day as well. I know you're good at deceiving. Once is too much."

"I'm aware I can't gain your trust anymore. Then, how shall I obtain your forgiveness?"

He's a different person. Compared to the last time I met him. Matheo described him as thirsty for my blood and flesh. Eventually, it wasn't him, it was me. I will do it in my own way... for my mother... for my father... for my mate... for Uncle Cor, and my whole pack standing with me right now, dead or alive.

Forgiveness is not justice.

And their justice is in my hands.

"Peace between two packs was my ambition, too." I raise my hand with the tangled necklace to show him. "But it wasn't written in our fate." My claws unleashed on it and harrowed him but I missed when he suddenly fades and disappears. The damage caused by my claws is on the statue, it collapses into huge pieces. I did not look for him anywhere.

They have plenty of backup plans. The werewolves are moving away from me. One of my Omegas knocked Elibur down and used him as a hostage to hold anyone from attempting to attack me. I let Acro fly away. My pack covered me from these huge numbers of opponents. It's enough to give me time to shift into a wolf, hop on top of the statue, and with great pride, I howl that sounded to every ear. The Vengeance pack was frozen in silence.

["All of you. Obey me. Act like rabid dogs."]

Later on, they harm each other, some run in fear, and some are rampaging and making crazy noises. I shift into a human and watch them. This tumult, acting out of their minds, is exactly what the victim in my village did. None of them are useful at the moment, not until I'm dead. A colossal magic circle appears in the sky just above the castle. Gates in the air are appearing and stairs as well. I ordered the Omegas, "Cease the mages." Then they spread and step on the stairs in the air to hunt any priests. Lycan pishnies are coming out of every gate, they have the same assignment as the Omegas. But apparently, there are no signs of mages on the ground. Zaeramil made it on time to respond with my howling signal.

I can mind my own business. Looks like Amos wants to play hide and seek first. I hopped down and walked casually towards the castle. They are giving way to me, one male werewolf stumbles in front of me and I stamp on his back. I'm busy unbuttoning my coat to remove it, I untie my scarf and strip my upper piece, leaving it on the ground. It's cold but I'm topless. I wear a necklace.

"That's right," I said to them as I stepped on the stairs towards the castle door. ["Kill one another."] I watch them bite, scratch, and harm each other. Blood splatters everywhere.

I run inside the castle when I'm satisfied. There's no one else inside but me. I stepped quickly up the grand staircase until I noticed that no matter how fast I am, I'm not getting to the top. As a result, I leap from the first steps to the top but am startled and defenseless when the wall moves to bump and push me down the stairs again! I observe when I walk up the stairs but I'm not getting to the top. 'Twas like walking above the wheel. This castle is moving on its own. I became more observant and looked around. Someone is watching me.

"Show yourself."

"I'm here." A voice of a woman responds and she's on top of the staircase where I hopped. The moment I laid eyes on her, my heart thumps. "And I am afraid we're enemies now."
