Chapter 383: Chapter 383 - 377: She Really Doesn’t Look Like She’s Hurt...

When Jing Jihan gets serious, it’s like the peak of a snowy mountain at the end of the world—visible but unattainable.

But when he’s annoying, no one else can compare.

After taking care of this master, Shi Su helped him lie back down. Jing Jihan didn’t say much since even the slightest movement would tug at his wounds. While he could bear the pain, it didn’t mean he felt nothing.

When Shi Su wiped his body, she was a bit heavy-handed. But when helping him lie back down, she moved very gently and slowly, afraid of tugging at his wound again.

In the afternoon, Miss Chen called Shi Su.

The airport in Hong Kong has resumed normal operations, and the film team plans to fly back to Jiang City tonight.

The promotional period Shi Su signed with them is almost over. Knowing that Shi Su was shocked at the Zijin Flower Hotel, the film team didn’t force her to immediately continue with the mainland promotions. Through Miss Chen, they inquired about her current state, asking if she planned to return tonight with them or rest in Hong Kong for a few more days.

Shi Su initially took leave from the "Shadow Kill" crew until before her current film "Reverse Flow" was released, meaning she had to return to continue filming by National Day, or it would affect everyone’s shooting schedule, equating to a breach of contract.

There are two days left before the agreed time.

When Shi Su took the call, Jing Jihan had just taken his pain medication and was resting with his eyes closed. She looked back at the man quietly sleeping on the bed, contemplated for a moment, and said, "I haven’t sorted things here at the hospital yet, so I can’t leave for now."

"Alright, I’ll inform the film team that we’re not leaving tonight," Miss Chen said, ready to hang up, but suddenly added, "Your pass and documents have been found. I’ll bring them to you later."

"No need. I’ve been in the hospital for two days; I need to get a change of clothes. The hospital isn’t too far from the hotel; I’ll just take a cab. Keep the documents with you for now."

"Alright then."

After hanging up, Shi Su put down her phone and went out to find a nurse, asking about Jing Jihan’s current condition. She confirmed he just needed to lay still and rest more.

So she took the opportunity, while Jing Jihan was still asleep, to take a cab back to the hotel.

When Shi Su appeared at the hotel, the crew hadn’t left yet. Seeing she had returned, they all rushed over to inquire about her injuries, whether she was scared or had any issues. Shi Su had to lift her bandaged foot in slippers to show them, "Minor injury, with a great fortune ahead, our box office will definitely soar!"

The person in charge of the film chuckled and asked someone to help her into the elevator.

In her room, Shi Su debated how to shower with her foot injury, especially since Jing Jihan was still in the hospital and she couldn’t afford to spend too much time. As she pondered, Chujiao arrived with her documents.

So Chujiao ended up helping her in the bathroom, holding her leg to avoid water on her foot. After a quick shower, feeling refreshed, Shi Su packed some things, changed clothes, grabbed essentials for her bag, and rushed back to the hospital.

In the evening, getting a cab in Hong Kong wasn’t easy. Shi Su didn’t request the hotel for a car; instead, she went to a nearby shopping street and bought a soft pillow for Jing Jihan. After exiting the mall, she looked for a taxi, but the roads were bustling with hardly any empty cars.

Standing on the street for a while, she was about to use Miss Chen’s spare phone to download a local taxi app when a car that had just passed by circled back and stopped abruptly in front of her.

Shi Su paused, raising her head to see the gray Ferrari in front of her.

Shi Dongyang was in the car. After the window rolled down, he looked Shi Su up and down, resting one hand on the steering wheel while tapping the passenger seat with the other. "Where to? Cousin will drive you?"

Isn’t the Imperial Capital’s Shi Family and Hong Kong exchange deal settled yet? How is this plague still here?

Originally standing by the roadside, Shi Su decisively retreated a step, expressionless, as she focused on her phone to find a taxi app, ignoring him completely.

But Shi Dongyang was leisurely, directly getting out of the car, slamming the door, and walked straight over with his hands in his pockets.

"I say, Shi Su, don’t be ungrateful. When I make nice, you should accept. If not for the old man’s sake, you think I’d smile at you?" Shi Dongyang leaned in and lowered his voice.

He even seemed to sniff at her subtly as Shi Su warily avoided him, suddenly smirking, raising a hand to touch his nose, and raising an eyebrow. "Did you just shower? Why shower in the daytime? Where did you go ’play’? Your cousin here knows all the elite places in Hong Kong. If you need something, don’t venture alone; you can ask me. I don’t mind introducing a few more."

Shi Dongyang gave Shi Su a pointed look, as if expecting her to catch his drift.

Having changed into looser shoes at the hotel, Shi Su now appeared to walk freely without seeming injured.

But with the Zijin Flower Hotel incident being so significant, even if Shi Dongyang wasn’t there that day, he couldn’t not have heard how she almost got into trouble that night. Now, with his arrogant demeanor, it’s clear he’s probing her thoughts on the Hong Kong businessmen families’ vendetta, gauging if she’s frightened.

Shi Su tapped her phone twice, finally managing to order a local car through the app before turning, giving him a cold side-eye. "I can shower whenever I want, even the Emperor can’t dictate. But you, no amount of cologne can mask your vile stench. Why stand so close? Keep those dirty habits you picked up among the aristocratic brats in the Imperial Capital to yourself; don’t disgust me."

Shi Dongyang licked his cheek and suddenly laughed, "Do you remember Mr. Lao Lai from last time? He’s quite keen on you. Even if you never return to the Shi Family, if the day comes when you’re struggling in the entertainment industry, with your looks, you’ll always be popular among rich heirs. After all, beauty is a universal weakness, even for me... ah, fuck—!"

Before he could finish, Shi Su grabbed half a cup of leftover milk tea from a garbage bin and dumped it over his head, expressionless as she shook her hand off and walked away.

She needed to get across the road; the cab she ordered was arriving in a minute.
